In browsing through some Gallup-Polls on the subject of Islam Ive come across some highly interesting points for Discussion.

More Stats at Gallup

These stats (among others) show quite a large Discrepancy between Berlin Muslims, Paris Muslims and London Muslims.

Berlin-Muslims seem to be the most Tolerant by western Standards (or Weak by traditional religious standards).

Why might this be?

Are German Muslims softer because Germans are softer to them and are English Muslims harder because the English are harder to them? Or is it the other way around? Or is it something else entirely?

What are the differences in Integration-Policy in France, Germany and England?

A bit of good news is that the acceptance of honor killings is similarly low in all three countries:

I have lived in both Berlin and London for a few years but Im not sure about this and also find the Comparisons to Europeans and Americans highly interesting.

Thoughts?

I think if you put those Stats up against another Religeous group, or

some other segment of society, I would bet the numbers would all be in line.

Muslims aren't bad people.

The people telling us Muslim's are bad , Those you have to keep your eye on.

No I meant it would have been interesting to see the Muslim opinions compared with opinions from Christians. Not just the general public of the nations. I imagine on these moral issues both religions would score the same.

I see your trying to steer the debate about Muslim opinions in different european countries, In which case i can not give you the answer to that.

Maybe it depends on where the majority of the muslim population originate from. In paris they are more likely to be from Northern Africa, where as in the UK we have more Pakistani and Bengali Muslims. Just like different Christian groups who believe slightly different versions of the bible.

It's evidence of BS gallup polls. What are the controls? What was the definition of a 'public' nationality? What was the definition of 'American religious?' Was it a weekly church attendee? Monthly? Bumper sticker? Owns a Bible? Read a Bible? Attends church out of community spirit? Attends church for the love of God? What sect of Muslim? Fundamental? Westernised? Liberal? Taliban?

Homo acts. Are respondents anti-gay or pro-gay? Do people that don't give a damn respond? What type of person entertains pollsters? What 'Muslims' were polled? Where they Shia? Shi-ite? Sunni? Were they gay Muslims?

Abortion. What age group was the samples? Where were the pollsters? Who cares what anyone thinks? Were the respondents politically motivated?

Statistics can be interesting, but are often bad science (Ben Goldacre).

You are correct in pointing out the generalizations inherent in the Polls. But all in all there does seem to be a marked difference between Berlin and London no matter which Details are factored in.

I was mainly interested in that difference and whether Germany handles "Integration" differently than England.
