Stuff like this happens in every country, all the time, at all points in history. This isn't a sanctioned murder by Turkey or the local mosque, so can it, save your war-pathing sensationalism for somewhere else.

No. "Stuff like this" does not happen in every country on the same scale. You don't seem to get the point. This is a category of murder which goes unpunished, or only relunctantly admonished. Any family member, any 15 year old boy in order to seem "strong" to his friends, has the right to cut the throat of his 10 year old sister (yes, as young as that) if she was raped; or if he thought she talked to much to boys. Mothers have assisted in murdering their daughters and if they protested, have been murdered themselves. Most girls growing up in these countries have female friends or relatives who have disappeared, assumed murdered.
Islam does not "sanction" it and not all the murderers are Muslim. Hindus and Yazidis (remember Dua Khalil stoned on 4/7/07) also participate. However, if Islamic clergy came down on it harder, fewer such murders would occur. This really is a domestic terrorism. I can't imagine living under such an arbitrary sword hanging over my throat, should any of my relatives project their own dirty thoughts on to me. Almost all of these murdered unmarried girls are virgins, btw, when proved by forensic autopsy.
