This Les Miserables 10th anniversary extravaganza is outstanding from start to finish. I'm fortunate to have recently purchased the DVD even though
the event took place at London's Royal Albert Hall in 1995.
What makes it so special is that it consists of a dream cast of performers, a chorus of 150 (the folks in the t-shirts), a philharmonic orchestra, and
an audience who clearly enjoyed and appreciated the grandeur of this celebratory production.
At the close of the performance, 17 international singers who at one time or another performed the role of Jean Valjean in their native countries were
ceremonially marched in took turns singing portions of the song "Do You Hear the People Sing" in their language. It was a touching tribute to those
who immortalized the lead role in their respective nation.
It's worth taking in some of the other clips that You Tube has to offer of this spectacle.
