Semantics. Wringing someones neck is purely the desensitized version. And as I said, its not about the semantics. Its about the bass-ackward idea that if there is some loon out there claiming to be a spokesman for a certain group, others in the group should be up in arms.

What you obviously dont understand, is that giving people like this attention, positive and negative, only furthers what they are doing.

Not to mention, there is no reason to believe that some fools spewing nonsense like this arent actually members of the 'other side' (so to speak), trying to make one side look bad.

you are buying into nonsense.

People who believe in the theory of evolution (which includes all biologists) don't need to be represented by people. The evidence is strong enough to stand up on its own.

I'm not mad at these guys at all - they're doing what they think is best. They're certainly not hurting the theory.

Incorrect. Speciation has been observed many many times by scientists across the last few centuries. There is total evidence for evolution, and none for creationism. Creationism isn't a scientific theory, it's merely a hypothesis, and an unscientific one at that (as it can not be falsified).

Please stop regurgitating these falsehoods - it's intellectually dishonest.

Don't listen to your gut - listen to the thousands of scientists who have proven evolution. They're smarter than your gut.

Rubbish. ID is a pseudoscientific name given to creationism. The first ID books were simply creationist books with 'creation' replaced with "intelligent design". ID has as much to do with science as Star Wars does with astrophysics. They might use some of the same words, but one is a story, and one is real.

No, it's over a hundred years old, and every piece of biological evidence ever discovered fits neatly within its model. It is testable, and has passed every test. DNA demonstrated exactly what Darwin was talking about.

Cro-Magnon man? Depths? Are you suggesting that common depths exist across the world for different eras? I take it you know less about geology than you do biology!

You clearly don't know what you are talking about. The hypothesis of evolution came from a human's brain. The masses of supporting evidence came out of reality, which demonstrates that the hypothesis is a theory. It's called science - you might want to read up about it some day.

Only someone willing to judge millions of people by a few would think all atheists are like these guys, which surely can't include any actual Christians, as they're taught not to do that. So what possible damage could be done?

First off, Id like to say, AWESOME JOB!!!

I think you actually managed to respond to darn near every post on this thread.

I guess you do have a point, Evolution HAS been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt. I found an old article in which a Catholic palientologist named Tielhard De Chardin actually found the missing link TWICE!

This one guy found the missing link in Piltdown, England AND in another dig in Peking! He found Piltdown Man and Peking Man.

This guy was a regular missing link BLOODHOUND. If there was a missing link lying around anywhere, De Chardin could sniff it out for sure.

Where are the awesome scientists like De Chardin today?

Those two clowns can't hold a candle to him.

Tielhard De Chardin.

Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (French pronunciation: [pjɛʀ tejaʀ də ʃaʀdɛ̃]; May 1, 1881 - April 10, 1955) was a French philosopher and Jesuit priest who trained as a paleontologist and geologist and took part in the discovery of Peking Man. Teilhard conceived the idea of the Omega Point and developed Vladimir Vernadsky's concept of Noosphere. He came into conflict with the Catholic Church and several of his books were censured.

Teilhard's primary book, The Phenomenon of Man, set forth a sweeping account of the unfolding of the cosmos. He abandoned traditional interpretations of creation in the Book of Genesis in favor of a less strict interpretation. This displeased certain officials in the Roman Curia and in his own order who thought that it undermined the doctrine of original sin developed by Saint Augustine. Teilhard's position was opposed by his Church superiors, and his work was denied publication during his lifetime by the Roman Holy Office. The 1950 encyclical Humani generis condemned several of Teilhard's opinions, while leaving other questions open.

Piltdown Man was a hoax, eyed with scepticism in the scientific community for decades before it was revealed to be a hoax. It might have even been made by your Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. But no one knows for sure.

People say it is evidence of how bad scientists can be, or how flawed science itself is, but actually it's evidence of the self-correcting nature of the scientific method. Piltdown man would have been a fantastic coup for science - the so-called missing link - and yet the method forced science to throw it out the window (so to speak), due to it being a hoax. So, even someone forging exactly what many scientists wanted to find, was not accepted by the scientific method.

Science is a self-correcting methodology, and so far not a single shred of evidence has been found that contradicts the theory of evolution. All the new evidence does is refine its position, making it far more accurate with each year that passes.

Creationists / IDers still don't have a single shred of evidence for their baloney, and yet get all angry when called on out the fact their 'theory' isn't a theory at all, but still a nascent hypothesis, and an unscientific one at that.

No, they're not mutually exclusive.

However, look at it this way. Let's say you have the approach of "Evolution exists, there's evidence of it, and I feel that it is the method by which god designs his creation"

On the face of it, this is a pretty rational take that seems to reconcilethe main points of both positions.

But let's apply this line of thinking to your daily life.

You hear a noise in your closet. Curious, you go to see what it was. Several boxes that were on the shelf are now on the floor, as well as parts of the shelf. The shelf's support is dry and crumbly, clearly a case of dry rot. You know that the boxes fell, because they're on the floor. you know they fell because the shelf broke, because it's broken, and you know it broke because of dry rot, because you can see the dry-rotted wood.

However, you also decide that the dry rot would not have given way unless an invisible closet-dwelling gremlin hit the rotted support with a ball peen hammer.

You now know that your shelf broke because of dry rot, because the evidence is all in front of you, and this is clearly how the invisible gremlin in your closet manages his plan of getting boxes on the floor.

Or, you could just forgo the gremlin, and stick with the evidence at hand. You have evidence for everything EXCEPT the magical gremlin in your closet, so there's no reason to include him, is there?

Same thing with "evolution is god's plan"

Can I comfortably say you are rejecting the word of God automatically?

Just thought I'd put my two cents in...

J.R. Church - prophecyinthenews.com
Hal Lindsey - hallindsey.com
Dr. Jack Van Impe jvim.com
Perry Stone - voe.org

Among these four people, thousands and thousand of hours have been spent studying the Bible, the prophecies it tells, and current events that full fill the words of Bible. One thing the Bible explains, is that those who don't believe that the only way to salvation is through Jesus, by dying on the cross and washing away our sins, will not understand the prophetic words. Sounds a bit sketchy I know, but my God is no lair.

One example:

Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. (666)

If you do some research, you will find that the Government is planning to microchip the entire population of the world by 2017. This "rfid chip" will be implanted in the right hand, and if someone is missing their right hand, their forehead. This chip will hold credit card information, health insurance information, drivers license, gps. You will be able to walk into a store take what you need and leave, and the chip will deduct from your bank account.
This SEEMS like a great idea. However, make a wrong move, or piss someone off, and they can easily shut your chip off, and you will have no way of buying or selling anything. How else would this be possible without the internet. (www--->666)

The Hebrew equivalent to our w is "vav" or "waw." The numerical value of vav is 6. So the English "www" translated into Hebrew is "vav vav vav," which numerically is 666.

Another example:

Revelation 13:1 And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

Daniel 7:7 (You can read the previous lines)...It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns(....)7:24 The ten horns are ten Kings who will come from this Kingdom.

The European Union has the plans drawn for dividing the world and all of the countries of the world into 10 divisions.

1. America, Canada and Mexico
2. South America
3. Australia and New Zealand
4. Western Europe
5. Eastern Europe
6. Japan
7. South Asia
8. Central Asia
9. North Africa and Middle East
10. Remainder of Africa

The Bible also explains that we will not understand the book of Daniel until the end times.

Daniel 12:9 He replied, "Go your way, Daniel, because the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end. Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

Daniel 12:4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there and knowledge will be increased.

^^^Meaning transportation will be vastly increased, being able to travel around the world quicker than ever before, and knowledge has increased exponentially in this past century. More knowledge will be gained in 2-4 years than the past 5000 years in total. Not til the past few decades have the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation been studied so thoroughly and we have only just begun to learn what these books teach us.

These are just a small fraction of the Prophetic words in the Bible that have or will come to pass with stunning detail and accuracy.

I reject the "word of gawd" because I am not Religious. Religion is not science, nor is it rational.

Most prophecies are self-fulfilling, especially when they are not specific, as is the case with your "word of gawd," so your entire post is automatically invalid.

No, it doesn't prove anything one way or the other.

It's just funny watching that guy babble and stammer through his answers.

If you can find a similar vid of some Evangelical type guy doing the same thing, I'd love to see it.

Yea obviously. Two instances, God said that the Jews would be exiled from their land, their land would become desolate, no one on Earth would be able to inhabit their land, the first instance, in the second instance, he said the Jews would be scattered through all the Nations of the world. He then goes to say that they would come back to their land, and their land would not be taken from them again.

about 2600 years ago, the Jews were exiled from Israel...For 1800 years, the land saw little to no rain, the land became desolate, and not one nation were able to populate the land, for an extended period of time. The turn of the 20th century, Israel began to see rainfall, 1948 and 1967, two very important dates in Jewish history, there was more rainfall than has been witnessed in over 2 millennium. The Jews began to come back, and haven't forgotten who they are.

You say these aren't specific prophecies which are self fulfilling? C'mon!

People were living in "their land" just fine until the UN decided, inspired by biblical scripture (namely the 'Zionist' movement), to create the nation of Israel.

So out of your "accurate" prediction, only the part mentioning the scattering was accurate (even though Jews always lived in the area - some never moved). You don't know their land won't be taken from them again, so you can't claim that's accurate. The crap about no one being able to live there is not true at all, and Israel was only created again because it was mentioned in the bible.

Please stop trying to shoe-horn your book into reality. It doesn't fit, and it's making you look rather ignorant of historical fact. Yeah, they're only specific prophecies coming true if you really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really want them to be, and don't mind ignoring huge tracts of history to get there.

Firs off, the UN would be the last group to look at the bible, pick something out of it, and try to make it come true. They could have easily picked so many different religions to base there acts upon, and there are so many people in the world against Christianity, that the likely hood of this happening is so very small. Not to mention that people living in Israel before the Jews returned, only started living there COMFORTABLY after the turn of the century, which is where I sated the land started "reviving" due to the the rainfall that Israel hadn't seen in over 1800 years.

No, but the countless Christian members who subscribed to Zionism, and the requirement for Israel to exist before Christ can come back, would like Israel to exist for obvious reasons. And there are a LOT of Christians in the nations that make up the UN. Pretending otherwise is straight-up ridiculous.

The people who lived there did so comfortably, otherwise they'd have moved. Or are Arab people too stupid to move when they can't survive comfortably?
