I only care about my own ambitions. Why? because i cannot expect to reach my goals by focusing on others people goals. Plus, others' ambitions are usually the same # again and again love happiness peace and madness. I want to go beyond that. I don't need to justify my existence to anyone else but myself. If you mean happiness should be one's main motive to live, i answer seeking such thing will only bring you more despair.

To the OP again... conciousness is a common trait amongst individuated forms of physical existence. First understand you have no physical reality and all your senses tell you, is in fact illusion, and concious intelligent infinity is indeed the only reality then immortality will be yours, and mine.

But the physical world really does exist. Probably different from what i see and feel with my senses but it is not an illusion. You just want to believe this way so it is easier for you to go on. But its not a bad dream or nightmare, the world of matter is as real as the world after death (we suppose there is one). You do fear to be only a dust in an infinite world amongst infinite worlds without any prepurpose right? I don't.

If boredom is a problem just choose goals way beyond your capability and do anything to reach it. Anyways, there are permanent goals that never end like survival.

The only way to bear a great bliss/burden like Immortality is to not be attached to anything but held dear to your precious and valuable things. Someone that cant accept the disappearance and death of something he cared for, cannot be Immortal, he would become mad. Think about this, what would be the best way to live:
-reject of a reality full of regret when you loose something or
-instant acceptance of the reality and capability to go on whatever may happen without any regrets?

Or perhaps the feeling of suffocating but not being allowed to die, Or being caught in a fire but never being put out of your misery... Sure immortality sounds like a good idea.

I believe you'll find this website useful. The forums alone are worth a read.

Hi _damon,

Immortality could be possible starting at this time and age as long as you don't get killed accidentally in the future. You would have to have a lot of money though to get you through the long future of immortality.

I'm no doctor and I don't give out medical advice, but if you are serious about living what most people would consider to be multiple life times, then I think you should watch these videos.

www.youtube.com...

I think Bob's knowledge could give you "immortal blood" as stated in the videos and as described elsewhere on the Internet; and I think the electrical device which Bob describes and tells you strap to your wrist could extend life also. His videos are very interesting. I think in the future you would simply need to have surgeries to replace worn out parts, and if you cloned yourself, you would have plenty of parts for use later on.

I hope you are successful in your endevour my friend.

Well, no, according to quantum physics, this reality really is an illusion, every facet of it created and affected by concious observation.
reality is an illusion

Please understand I`m not attacking any of what you postulate, merely I am offering an alternative look at things. An outlook based on science.

Vedic teachings tell us of how this reality is illusory as well, and the underlying message of these teachings tie curiously in with the new discoveries in quantum physics.
the great maya

May I suggest that you have read at the Law of One (the Ra Material) maybe not it all (its like 5 books) but have a glance at this study guide on it....
law of one study guide

At least open your mind to other possible realities.

Immortality is easily attainable, but I would imagine impossible in a temporary world.

And no, I am not afraid of being only dust in an infinite world against infinite worlds with no prepurpose. I`m not afraid because I know that not to be the case, and I also know that the second law of thermodynamics means this world i not infinite.

I want Immortality

Ok.

Why do you believe you do not already have it?

This is a rhetorical question.

I agree.

But I think the human life span is miserably short. I mean only 80 years. You are out of your peak by around 40.

Human life span of around 700+ years like in the time of Noah sounds much better.

I wonder why we don't live as long.

I hear and see the power of the Lord everywhere!

Just study natural sciences and YOU will find God.

There was only ONE man ever who God talked to directly. That man was Moses (peace be upon him).

(peace be upon him)?

I guess you forgot about Jesus talking with His Father.

The Spirit works through us to convey to us what it is God wants to impart to us (or through us). It is a matter of RECOGNIZING IT.

I'm glad that you believe in God.

Physical Immortality is a misnomer. It simply cannot be achieved in the physical body no matter what you think you can do to get it.

Free Radicals are a big player in the decline or aging process and while Anti-Oxidants can strengthen and prolong the body for a little while longer, the physical body will deteriorate.

You say you can handle Immortality in your current physical form. May I ask how you think you know this when you have not already lived to a ripe old age and seen the changes around you, the death of all you knew and loved and the severe isolation you would experience from everyone who would hate you for outliving them in their future?

If you could find a way to preserve the body for All Eternity.. that is what Immortality is... my bet is that within 200 or so years you would be begging for death's embrace.

Perhaps you would then throw yourself in front of a bus or train..but.. oh dear in 200 years there will be none of those things. If humanity is somehow still clinging to this rock then life will be very heavily controlled, observed 24/7, ordered with no variance allowed and that my friend is not living.

Good luck seeking for what cannot be found.
