I see a government run TV station in your future.

The networks might want to consider that cutting off the President isn't a good idea. If the government and leaders cannot get their message out via the current media set up, they will address that problem.

Do the networks REALLY want that?

I'm not surprised at all.

Oh noes! Fox and MSNBC edit whats seen oh no come on guys, what ever you see from those networks are pretty much fake anyways.

Does Obama really make a difference? Does he really do anything besides talk?

It doesn't matter what you see Obama do on T.V. or hear him talk. He doesn't do anything.

Obama is a PR guy, all he is paid for is to talk.

edited for spelling

While there is definitely a push to restrict, control or completely shutdown the Internet and or the MSM, we have of late been informed if such a thing happens it will be the fault of terrorist and not Obama's quest to restrict the free flow of information.

After reading this posting I was reminded that much like Hugo Chavez, Obama will most likely go for the main street media television first and this latest tongue in cheek comment about not watching certain TV stations is a tell tale sign that Obama is more embarrassed by main street media and while the Internet is also in flames with negative comments about Obama, this remark about not listening to the MSM networks reveals an underlying desire to shut everyone up and prevent anyone from knowing anything except whatever Obama and Rahm Emanuel decide to inform the nation about. T

This is the tell tale sign that the Obama regime is really a dictatorship in the making and a bonehead threat to the overall security of this nation.

I sense a state of insider chaos and impending rush to invoke draconian measures are getting those in power very anxious and nervous. Let's hope that Obama does not shut down television before going after the Internet. Perhaps he will shut down both at the same time and blame the guys in caves as the evil doers.

While there are those that are puzzled why the main street media is cooperating with Obama, what is going on, a recent thread about how the media commented recently about a secret banking cabal running the nation. It is that secret banking cabal that is assuming power and behind the scenes, many media outlets are starting to secretly cooperate and support outright cooperation with the secret banking cabal that seeks to control the press of Obama.

The MSM future is before them and most are opting to go along with the new banking masters of finance but the transition is very much under the table and most do not want anyone to know that certain MSM media giants are already on board and await to serve the needs and propaganda that Obama may require to control the masses when martial law is invoked.

It is my opinion that Obama will go for the Internet and TV stations just prior to martial law and will use the shut down as the basis for claiming some terrorist attack which necessitates a shut down of TV and Internet to protect the nation and of course the children. It is this subtle contempt for free speech that I believe is beginning to undermine Obama's overall persona and image as president of the USA.

Let's hope that Obama has some insider issues that will prevent an smooth transition to Socialism.

Am I the only person here who finds this amusing? I mean, seriously- how many adults could hear Obama say "shut of the news networks", then the news networks quickly shut off the feed-- and NOT find that more than a little hilarious?

Maybe I'm just jaded, and I tend to find most of what's happening in this world humorous in it's own way. Not like, manically laughing at the horrors of the world- but more like "did you SERIOUSLY think that you were going to be happy kumbaya singing with total freedom and unlimited resources? Are ya really that dumb? Now that's funny!" funny. Ya know?

on another note, I see that Fox news is usually given a pretty bad rap. Not sure why that is, as I don't watch TV news very often, aside from local channels for weather; but when I DO watch cable news, I watch Fox.

Why? Because it's entertaining. Not the content- the anchors. They're insane, they say the most random things, have frequent awkward pauses, and are REALLY REALLY EXCITED about some things, and that my friends, is sometimes the best of improv comedy.

I personally, tune out the content- from all news sources, mainly because of a basic problem. Who the heck are we supposed to believe? As someone before me stated, all news media has a slant- so who would be more truthful than the other? Yes, I really do think about this stuff, a lot. For example- swine flu madness. Any given day would find another news report giving an opposing opinion and stated facts to back up opposite claims. What the heck man! I'm trying to figure out if I should let my kids get this damn shot, and I can't even get a straight answer about real data on it.

So, for me, MSM news is strictly entertainment. I admit, I find Michael Savage HILARIOUS. Rush Limbaugh amuses me daily, right after Glenn Beck makes me shake my head in amazement. Bill O'Reilly is what I consider a fun evening at home, with lots of popcorn.

But you know what- in every news outlet, there could be a grain of truth. well, there is usually more than a grain, but I had hoped that we, as rational thinking beings, would be wise enough to do our own research, instead of relying on talking heads to make our minds up for us. Is that so crazy?

A little bit of information.

The BROADCAST networks are required by law to carry a Presidential news confrence or speech if the White House requests the air time. The cable networks are under no such obligation. This all comes from the US Government's declaration that they own the broadcast frequencies and lease them out to the stations.
