Tonight's show puts Bear into an urban survival scenario. It should be an interesting view. Let's just hope that is better than Apocalypse Man. I trust that it will be.

I would prefer to see Les Stroud in this urban survival theme. But, I'll keep my hopes up for tonight's show.

I think Bear is usually a very good example of what not to do in a survival situation.
He does seem to have fun, though. It must be nice to have your mountain climbing/skydiving hobbies subsidised by your job.

Where is he going to be? Looks like Chernobyl or something.

I do enjoy his show, when there's nothing else to watch.

But this one, urban , does sound interesting.

Yeah but following the format of the show, making it across the river to Philly is not a better destination than what he just left. Well, at least they drive slightly safer in Philly.

Cleveland would be good except how would one end up in Cleveland if you were not there in the first place? Not like he was going to see the Browns or Indians...Maybe a Cavs game? Since I am close to Cincinnati have to give you a little grief jibeho.

At least he'll find plenty to eat. I'm sure there'll be discarded, half eaten Hamburgers in the Bin....

Well at least for this show him and his camera crew will not have to travel far to get to their hotel when they are done filming for the day.

Hey now! I said I would prefer to see Les in this situation. In his absence, I have to settle for Bear. Granted, Bear is a little showy with his physical feats but he does provide good information regarding skills other than rappelling with bootlaces. I would never do half of what he physically does if I was stuck by myself with no one to help me out.

However, the urban environment is one that most of us are more likely to face at one time or another. Hell, I live in the burbs and if the SHTF, I will likely be in the burbs when it happens. I will give this show a chance to entertain me tonight.

Just hope my wife does not burn my popcorn and that my kids go to bed before 9pm

Bear could easily be in CLE visiting the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame when the SHTF. Browns stadium is empty the majority of the year so he could even film there!!

He could film in Cincy but he might as well just film in Kentucky. I love Cincy. My wife lived there for years and loves to go back to visit. I always remember to pack my mullet wig when we travel there. I don't want to stand out in the crowd.

Not a fan of the man myself as I feel he goes off less that half-cocked all the time. But it did make me wonder is eating elephant crap or a left over Big Mac more healthy? edit to add for that matter a fresh Big Mac.

He's the chief Scout you know - lot's of middle class kids look up to him for guidance.

That's why I don't like his flashy stunts, they're not risk assessed for kids
