Minds of their parents? Billy Ray Cyrus? Look at the guy. He's a PUTZ! A real loser. I can't tell sometimes if he's a man or a woman. My god! Billy Ray had Miley out of wedlock anyways and has several children from a previous marriage. Sounds to me like he can't keep his #$@@ in his pants either. The guy is a schmoe in every sense of the word.

All this means to me is there is A LOT of truth to that book Thanks for the Memories by that mind control victim. Hollywood is a disgusting place filled with the occult and evil people.

~snip~

if it is actual lingere though, i take back everything i said before, as thats so fing wrong its beyond words!

I clicked it for you, friend,...NOT actually lingere. Not even close.

Oh what's the use??

Hey it isn't the fact that in this one set of just 3 styles you can't see their their private parts (but just wait). It is the whole packaging idea, little girls, lingerie, stripper poles, the word Ooh la la, full makeup. But it's ok with a portion of you and that is why this company is doing this; they see some money to be made by people who will jump when their 7 year old demands clothes like Hollywood's youngest porno queen is now wearing.

Yeah, that ladybug outfit really screams "do me"!
Give it a rest!

All I was trying to convey with my reply was that it isn't really "lingere", and portraying it as such is, to me, a lie.
Do I like the clothes? Not really, nor would MY 12 year old daughter. She's more into skulls and crossbones at the moment.

(the stripper pole pic is over the top, though, IMO)

I don't know what the big deal is... Is it the word "lingerie"? Because these are just frilly, ruffled dresses for little girls, perfectly acceptable in public. By the way, this company has been around for 5 years.

Ooh! La, La! Couture

It must be the word Lingerie that's got everyone's panties in a twist (excuse the pun).

Id have to agree here. The clothes are not sexy, but cutesy. And seriously....lingere is underwear....

Shocker: kids wear underwear!!!

lin⋅ge⋅rie
–noun 1. underwear, sleepwear, and other items of intimate apparel worn by women.
2. Archaic. linen goods in general.

There are way more things to be freaking out over.

Skulls and crossbones in my opinion is just as weird as this lingerie crap. That is another "trend" that is really disturbing among not only children but adults. I find it hilarious to see an SUV with "TRUTH" armor for the soul stickers on their bumper (it's some Christian trend here in SoCal) and then next to it they have two big skull and bones followed by two more indicating they are a family. LOL. Skull and bones are usually associated with "evil" no?

If this is the stuff I am seeing on the site linked here.

I totally would buy my girls that. Very cute.

The pole is over the top for sure.

Kids also take a bath without clothes, should we have those pics on a website as well? Or maybe on a catwalk?

Incrementalism!
That's what this is, every now and then you accept a little more and more
If it all came to you at once in lump sum you would be shocked and say NO NO NO. but give it to you in increments and you will accept it.

Have you ever seen a ballet performance? Or kids at the pool wearing bathing suits? These clothes are not much different. Its the ATTITUDE that should be more concerning, not the COSTUME.

I have issue with the stripper pole, yes.

Forget about the definition of "lingerie" for a second..........there's little girls hanging off a stripper pole for cryin' out loud!

Is that "just a pole" now?

Peace

by the way ... (and im just playing devils advocate)

i have actualy looked up the deffinition of lingerie , in the camberidge dictionary and another one ran by ask.com

(from cambridge)

lingerie noun
/ˈlæ̃n .ʒər.i/US pronunciation symbol/ˌlɑːn.ʒəˈreɪ/ n
women's underwear

(from ask.com powered search)
n.

1. Women's underwear.
2. Archaic. Linen articles, especially garments.

[French, from Old French, from linge, linen, from Latin līneus, made of linen, from līnum, flax.]

i do not agree with kids wearing anythign remotely erotic, but this situation is a knee jerk reaction because people just think a word means something when it doesnt! ...like i said, the word lingerie has been used in the correct term but whoever has reported the story have used the fact that MOst people think the word lingiere actualy means erotic underwear when it doesnt, its it a catch all term for WOMENS UNDERWEAR!

after looking at the replys on this page that precede this, i wonder why i bothered ..... as it seems the Actual deffinitions of words mean sh*t all nowadays on ats or in MAIN STREAM NEWS!

I also find it weird that half the people (guess) on this post who have looked think its innocent enough, while the other half who seen it think its erotic in some way... The stuff will not be advertised as erotic, thats people thinking that in their head Making it feel erotic to themselfs..... think about that one eh people! something is not seen that way till someone thinks it!

Edited to remove the Worst metaphore i probably coudl have thought up!

I hardly think lingerie for little kids is appropriate, and the sensationalist wording of the article definitely struck a nerve with me right off the bat.

Upon viewing the "Oh La La" site...the apparel in question wasn't as bad as I feared...but the colors and patterns they used for their new "collection" made my eyes burn.

It may not have been as "hyper-sexualized" as I had feared, but the product line still remians a horrible eyesore.

Are they wearing F#$@ me boots in those ballet performances?
Are they wearing makeup looking like S%@t at the pool?

The attitudes are PART of the costume!
Because they are not only marketing the clothes but also using the attitudes as a selling tool. Will this not affect the kids once they wear them?

These pics are also highly suggestive.
I can't see how you don't condemn this.
Perhaps the whole depicting female adults as sex objects is a huge financial loss by forgetting about the lower-aged market segment??

green eyed leo, you are spot on here dude, and the previous op just prooved it by type casting a type of shoe as "f*ck me boots" and commenting that girls wearing makeup look like sluts.

do you watch tv, every child on tv probably wears makeup, does that make them sluts??

seems you are the very person whoever wrote this story was aimed at! i think you shoudl be looking more on how you yourself typecast and judge things so outright!

Your the one thinking these are dirty, and clearly not the people who sell is, that worrys me... esspecialy as you find the pictures suggestive... i wont go any futther, but stop and think, something is not "dirty" unless you think that way... for you to feel it was suggestive means it pressed a button in you....personaly, i dont think the sight of any child in underware, no matter what kind could EVER be suggestive in any way, as their FREEKING KIDS...

If looking at these photos makes one think they've seen porn, and see children wearing boots as hooker wear....well I wouldn't leave my children alone with them.

I dont have kids (yet), im 34. I can say, grwoing up with my 2 sisters in in the mid 70's as kids, they wore skirts time to time, 80's retro, things like that, going into the early 80's kinda like madonna, casue that was the fad then. However, looking at those big lace boots she has on i dunno..i dont think ide wnat my daughter wearing those till she was 17 or 18* theirs too many pervs out thier today that havnt been caught yet.
I always said this for the past 2 years, cause i saw it on Ciley mirus. AS someone else here stated, Disney slut* i saw right through her. In fact, i am betting money in the nearer future, miley cirus WILL be in penthuose magazine, playboy.

My little girl is 7. I like her to be nicely dressed and to look cute. The outfits on Ooh La La's website just aren't particularly nice or cute. While they aren't perhaps as sexy as the article indicated, they aren't what I would call age-appropriate for my children my daughter's age either. I won't be buying anything from this the company for my kid.
