And this forum wouldn't even have to be full of agents: it would only take to spreading misleading info everywhere.

I only feel that there are two or three here.

One I know for sure.
That's right I recognized your style from a previous encounter. Im not going to tell anyone for now, at least.

If I wanted to I know exactly how to guarantee that this site is swarming with them.

I hope they stay for awhile personally. Go visit some of the areas here. You cant walk in pig waste and come out smelling like roses. I.E. they will get influenced more then they realize. Its to late to close your minds.....

As for the truth online, its a last bastion of freedom.

You see the reason I hope they stay is that there are a few threads that actually have good information that has been overlooked. Also, I am in the middle of a project using what I have developed. I hope they monitor it and if Im right that information can be used to save lives.

Also from the sounds of it their may be another project that I may end up involved with here that the results will in the end need the feds help.

A lot of good can be queitly done with this information passing.

This will be the only time I state this. If it is the agent I think it is, he is honest as the day is long. Too damn honest sometimes for my taste.

Hows your son doing BTW. Did he make it into a good team or did he get put in the loser teams this year?

Congrats on your recent anniversery also

If you are approached by someone on ATS trying to get you to join up with them to blow things up, ignore them, they are the agents. Report them to the FBI.

When you read a post that makes you wonder examine the posting history and read a bit more The Federalists are easy to spot.

I disagree with your point. You simply cannot expect someone to create threads and posts on several different topics. Some people are interested in Politics, some are Interested in Weaponry, Global conflicts, Obama, Middle East, Religion and so forth. People will post and create threads about what interests them and not as per the whim of what other people think.

Think about it why would someone create a thread or post in Weaponry when he does not know anything about it and is only interested in Religion & Politics related topics?

In fact, the people who don't create any threads are more likely to be provocateurs etc. because they probably do not want to draw attention to themselves which makes it easier for them to spread disinfo., trolling, thread killing, derailing etc.

Who would most likely be a 'agent' & how will they behave? They will most likely drop in threads and
# first start attacking the thread creator
# if that does not work they will post rhetoric questions or statements without sources
# If that does not work they will try to derail the thread. For eg. if you are talking about effects of nuclear explosion...the derailer will talk about effect of sun exposure or something similar in terms or if the subject is about US Economy the derailer will talk about UK Economy.

You will find more ways of such acts in this thread # Twenty-six ways to slander and intimidate conspiracy advocates

Why do they do this i.e, what's the real motive? It's simple:
"They" don't want people to talk about it or learn about it and are afraid of truth coming out.

So if you want to look out for the real agents & provocateurs look out for people who will try to "disrupt" a subject by methods I listed above. Besides that it's self evident every person have their own fields which interests them.

Here's a deduction.

The agents are losing the information war.

That's why they need laws to curtail, control and stop internet usage.

Those agents must know that they will be accountable one day for spreading lies, hatred, abuse, enmity and stiirring up a majority of sheeple that willingly advocate the murder of innocent people so their slave masters can make a buck and keep you down.

The agents just can't win over truth, decency and honesty as long as there are good people about.

I can give you a very good example of "Agents" who actually were caught doing this. I should thank mmichael for making me remember about it.

Have you heard about CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America). Now look at their title Accuracy. But the ugly truth is they are hardly accurate. They are actually agents. One fine day they were caught red handed running a covert propaganda operation for Israel. Their plan was brilliant;
Create an army of 'agents' and mix them with Wikipedia editors so they can change any information in favor of Israel. Their second goal was to gain Administrator access on Wikipedia so they gain remove anything critical of Israel and only put pro-Israeli propaganda. Their plan was to create a "army" of 100-200 people starting from 10!!

But unfortunately for them and fortunately for truth seekers they were caught. Here is the link of their actions and original documents which were exposed
CAMERA pro-Israel group's plan to rewrite history on Wikipedia
Here is the link to their emails(pdf form) and more emails

What is frightening there were already 6-7 approx. individuals who were working as Editors on Wikipedia and I think 1 as Administrator. Thankfully, when they news broke out all of them were banned from Wikipedia. But what's to say they will not try again.

Then there is this Israel latest propaganda manual/ handbook which they supply to agents:
The Israel Project's 2009 Global Language Dictionary

Sometime ago a team was exposed on Twitter:
Twitterers paid to spread Israeli propaganda Internet warfare team unveiled

and more

EXPOSED: Leaked Document Exposes Israel Manipulation Of US Public In Aftermath Of Iraq War

So yes it is possible some JIDF agents or paid Israeli agents or any other Govt. agents might be on ATS.

There's actually a much uglier truth. Organizations like CAMERA are springing up in an attempt to counter the torrent of intentional hate spreading and malign disinformation that has started to overwhelm the Internet.

Anti-Jewish sites, videos, forum postings, and corrupted Wikipedia commonly spread hatred under the pretext of providing objective news and historical information.

www.wildolive.co.uk...

It is not difficult to find Anti-Semitism on the internet web sites. Anti Jewish hate from Nazi sites is linked up with Palestinian propaganda and terrorist sites. Crude MP3 jingles like, "Cook a Jew" live near pages selling Nazi and SS insignia and medals. (The "shark" message suggests failing to indoctrinate your children against Jews is comparable with encouraging them to swim with misunderstood "man-eating" sharks.)

The fear that Zionists plan to take over the world, “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” and its derivatives is pushed hard, perhaps based partly on the Jewish origin of Karl Marx. (The right wing fear of Communism dating back to the Cold War era?) The Blood Libel is also endlessly reinvented.

The Internet lends itself very well to campaigning, whether promoting the truth or otherwise. The number of web sites devoted to demonizing Israel and promoting a fictitious history. Internet web sites have enormous potential for influencing young people, who gain much of their knowledge from web searches.

It is interesting to ponder the value of the Internet in this context. It is easy to find web sites which provide valuable material to increase your understanding of your faith or political persuasion, which is a good thing; assuming you are on the right track.
If you are heading down a wrong road of Anti-Semitism (or other forms of racial hatred), sexual perversion or witchcraft, it is just as easy to find the sites which will fuel your views and encourage you further down that road

[…]

Those who feel that Wikipedia has serious shortcomings include the encyclopedia's cofounder Larry Sanger, who described the encyclopedia as "part anarchy, part mob rule," and former Encyclopedia Britannica editor in chief Robert McHenry, who has said that Wikipedia is the source of "some very, very bad stuff."

Thus it was easy for Palestinian activists to publish dishonest and Anti-Israel information within sections about Israel and get them picked up by the user of Google Earth, as well as normal search engine enquiries.

Since Wikipedia is open to anyone to edit, the obvious thing is for honest people to correct the wrong information. CAMERA (Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America) has set out to do this. However, the Palestinian side did not take correction but escalated the conflict by setting up the pro-Palestinian advocacy group Electronic Intifada. They published selected posts attributed to CAMERA to build the picture of CAMERA as running a Zionist conspiracy. (the selected quotes included items from people who were not even CAMERA workers.)

The primary disseminators of propaganda in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia and Iran, expend inordinate resources consistently blaming the US and Israel fortheir regional problems and economic disparities.

Both are oil rich oligarchic Islamic regimes highly motivated to deflect responsibility from themselves. The pounded away theme is how the Muslim world is the victim of outsiders - but never their own corrupted leadership. A program of externalizing their issues creating a narrative of victimhood as a rationale for the neglect of their own populace.

This 'always blame the US and Israel for everything' running theme has an army of willing lackeys on the Internet and in the media acting as their apologists.

Notably outside of Rupert Murdoch's own family, a Saudi prince is the largest shareholder in Fox News. He tried to bribe the mayor of New York with $10 million to have a professor explain to Americans how they were the instigators of 9/11. Mayor Giuliani declined the offer.

The unrelenting deprivation of the people of the Middle East by their own heads of state is never discussed on this site. Suggestion of it is immediately attacked.

Just keep your eyes open and observe the pattern.

I do think there are some on here, to me it would only stand to reason they would kind of try and keep thier eyes on us. However, some people here tend to think anyone who doesn't agree with them is a government agent. I've been accused of it myself....funny as hell I thought.

What is truth? Impossible to know - because you can find enough evidence for any side to show that side as truth.

You have to remember, just because someone doesn't agree with your stance on something - does not mean they are some government agent. People have opinions, and not everyone holds the same opinion.

I find these labels of others most tiring and an easy outlet to dismiss those whom disagree with you (in general)

I also find it funny that people accuse all "government agents" as being bad. I know quite a few and they hardly agree with the choices our government makes. Sometimes you need to try and change things from the inside.

yeah I'm sure there are some of these.....silly....people here.....

disinfo is a big thing....church groups....social events....they all get hijacked....I´d say we have slightly more than average amounts of them here on ATS

just use them against their purpose....they are forced to argue lies and technicality....just use that to prove your own....sometimes I learn off them....I just search for exactly the opposite of their arguments to find the truth....

Why do they have to be "agents"?
they are just fat guys with no life that need to pay the bills.

There are a bunch of israeli agents. I've seen them. They often talk in the breivik thread, claiming he was not a sionist and was not working acording to the will of the jew government!

In re OP: Is ATS full of government agents posting stuff?

I have often posited that ATS is itself a storefront for any of a number of alphabet agencies: CIA, FBI, NSA, DIA, etc.

Giving it some thought, one of those entities might find no better way to identify and follow the most avid and knowledgeable conspiracy theorists in this nation, if not across the whole world.

Logically, it stands and walks on its own. It's really hard to dismiss as a possibility.

But as a long time member/user of this website, I find the trade-off more than equitable even if this is true. By creating the fire to draw moths of interest, there is that fire where the moths come to meet and share in ways that is really not available anywhere else on the web. So, in one sense, whether or not intentional, it would be almost a symbiotic relationship.

In the end, my personal view is that it really doesn't matter whether ATS is just visited regularly by disinformation specialists or if it is itself operated by those who own so many truths. The end product is more than worth the cost of the risk.

In short, I like it here and would not be disinclined regardless of the actual truth.

I do believe some people come to this site to promote some agenda of their own or a website. Take the politics with a grain of salt and have tough skin. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I used to frequent AOL..-Politics Daily but since they merged with the Huffo Post, I find it annoying and irksome to have my comments need approval before publishing. Since I am Conservative, many of my comments never go through.
This is one of the better sites I enjoy, wish I would have signed up sooner instead of lurking.
