Bomb explodes in Darwin Australia - Terror attack?

A MAN has wheeled a shopping trolley containing explosives into a Woolworths complex in central Darwin, injuring up to twelve people.

The extent of their injuries is not yet known, but one is thought to be in a serious condition.

A police officer was hurt in the blast.

The blast happened in the TIO office which is inside the Woolworths complex, between Smith and Cavenagh Streets.

Five ambulance vehicles are on the scene and Darwin hospital's burns trauma unit is on standby.

The supermarket did not appear to be badly damaged but it and other shops in the CBD Plaza have been cord

I also can't wait to find out who this guy is...

Hopefully it's just a crazy guy who got some bad fruit at Woolies, but either way it's gonna mean more security and more surveillance.

As far as I know terrorists dont throw crappy bombs or hand themselves into cops.

I used to live in Darwin, and I hope nobody I know was injured

Shouldve added that if he really wanted to do some damage, he wouldve trie to blow up Casuarina shopping centre, rather than that Woolworths

Im on my facebook...none of my friends seems to be injured. They are saying it was a petrol bomb...so definently not a terrorist attack

sounds just like a local crazy to me. I wouldnt put much thought into it. if it was a terrorist plot...feel comforted in the fact that they are potentially the least effective terrorists ever.
