reply to post by factbeforefiction You have to be blue eyed to make that comment!! I know a lot of people that have some color of blue and most of them are not overly smart. They are good people but the smartest people that I've known were brown eyed, and no I don't have brown eyes. My eye's are greenish brown.

Yeah, not sure where you learned that...But all of my family are Irish nationals and they ALL have blue eyes. There are also the "Black Irish" with darker features and brown eyes as well. But blue eyes are extremely common in Ireland.

One of Bowie's eyes was injured when he was a child.
That's what happened there.

That's right, if I remember correctly it was in a school playground scrap. He was hit in the eye and the pupil froze in the dilated position (please correct me if I am wrong, wouldn't be the first time). Its not a different colour just appears that way because of the dilated pupil. Although I think some people do have different colour eyes I know many dogs do.

In order to have blue eyes, a recessive gene, you must receive it from both parents. My father was blue-eyed and of German descent. My mother is 100 percent hispanic and I don't know of any blue-eyed relatives on her side of my family but she carried the gene because both my sister and I have blue eyes.

We green eyed people come from some remote planet I think. 1 out of 50 have green eyes. We are special and all others fail at life.......

We demand you worship us or die!

100% hispanic?

uh, that would be part spanish, part native american and possibly some african stuff going on.

hispanic is a later hybridization of humans creating one more wide and deep flavour of us.

the blue is coming from the spanish in your mom. She had the gene from her spanish roots.

I was reading the other article about blue eyes and paternity test.

It says that brown eyes are dominant. So 1 brown eyed parent + 1 blue eyed parent = brown eyed children.

But .. I have blue eyes. My wife has brown eyes. Our daughter has blue eyes. We're expecting another child in May/June .. Wonder what the chances are that he or she will have Blue eyes or Brown eyes.

That is not always true.
My ex had 2 brown eyed parents and 3 out of 4 of their children had blue eyes.
Both my parents had brown eyes and I have very pale green eyes.
Between my ex and mine's three children (1 blue eyed parent one green eyed parent) we had 1 blue eyed child one brown eyed child and one light brown eyed child.

Hmmm, Are you absolutely Sure?

Maybe you should ask your Ex's Mother what the Color of the Milkmans Eyes were...

You should maybe ask your Mother the same..

What color are your Milkmans Eyes?

Factor V Leiden is actually hypercoagulability disorder. Which means you have more risk at getting blood clots in your veins throughout your body.

Not heal quickly.

Ok, they give a title not at all representative of what the article says. It just says loosly that the the light-eyed folks demans things be done their way and the dark-eyed ones react to it better. Well, really it just implies a concomitant optimization for different ways of handling tasks. I'm not sure where more/less intelligent is implied in the body of the article other than through poor comprehension skills coupled with a suggestible audience.

The subtle (or perhaps not-so-subtle) insinuation is that light-eyed individual make better leaders while the dark-eyed individuals make better followers.

Ok. Whatever.

The news.com.au link appears to be 404. I wonder what it really said.
