Less important, but still true, is what costs more, broken windows or the lawsuit that is sure to follow?

This is a child we are talking about, a child, who like most kids her age, is unable to understand or handle the loss of control of her world. The officer mishandled the situation.

You can talk about the girl's behavior all day long. She was not in the position of control and authority. The officer was, and he blew it.

As a parent, I'd do the same thing that KayEm suggested.

True but do you realise the amount of PAIN. that thing can generate. Against a 6'2'' brick out house like me for example its unbearable but against a 4 foot skinny waif of a girl, mentally disturbed too.

The words thug, unprofessional, and unfit spring to mind.
