Hi all,
I'm opening this new thread because of an event that has happened to me recently.
I was watching a movie a few weeks back (I can't remember which one) and in the movie a guy opens up a banana and eats it.
The incredible thing is that when he opened the banana I could smell a strong scent of a banana as if one were just opened!
The sensation lasted for about 0.9 sec and quite frankly I was shocked by the incident.
There are no bananas in the house and haven't been for sometime.
According to this event with the right 'triggers' one can pull up the scent records for smells that are not really there and the brain can compute
such smells!
This implication of such a thing is really ground-breaking.
