Okay, so I have reached this really intense point in my psyche where I am just so in tune with the world. One thing I have been getting really good at is sensing vibes even if not one word is said. Eye contact has been unreal lately. I can see so much looking into someones eyes.

My question is, what do you call someone who wants to make the world a better place?
Because whatever that word is, is what I am. I like to help people and plants and animals, and the planet earth. I just can't think of a word to describe it. So I could use some help ATS.

Well, dreamers and idealists really.

Nothing wrong with that.

Word of caution though, your words make you seem rather vulnerable and malleable. It would behoove you to keep it simple and to not fall prey to false rhetorics of hope and 'enlightenment'.

You don't need a strange doctrine or foreign philosophy to do good in the world. You have all the power already, all the knowledge you need. Carry the fire inside you. That fire is for you and for you alone, it's not to be shared, stolen, twisted.

It doesn't take much to just pass on kindness, compassion, etc. That's where you would want to start.

I'd say they...and you, are just good folks. We say "They're good people." The kind of folks we like and know, ...we have for neighbors. I bet your misunderstood, too, in this cynical old world. That is a real shame, too. God Bless You friend.

I think it could be expressed in English as 'a good man', though this is very loosely used these days.

Peace

I'm going to have to say the same
All humans want to change the world for the better, it's the vision of their better world that causes the arguments.

They are usually called" Martyr's."

They have alot of labels that can be thrown on people that want a better world.

The government does it all the time.

After your awareness of the world and the environment you live in peaks, it is only natural and human to seek for a better way of life, not only for yourself, but for your family, relatives and friends as well. Everyone of us in the world is connected to each other in some way in any case. We are one people,.of the same race despite our cultural differences.

What you call yourself is of no importance. But what you seek and sought to change is far more critical than any labels that can be stuck upon you. Labels of affinity, affliation and anything else means nothing to what you intend to seek, with honesty, integrity and sincerity. What matters is how you achieve it and the result.

You may encounter difficulties along the way, but as long as you persever in what you strongly and passionately believe in and that it is right for your family, relatives and friends, then that's all that really matters, even if you only manage to convince, turn and save one human life.

It will be exponential, so do not be disappointed that it is 'just one', as that one life will appreciate that deed and pass it on, as evident throughout human history in the face of human power hungry mad excesses, crisis and calamities.

Every human life is precious. If we do not care about others than ourselves, then no one will ever care about us. We have only each other.

In the end when we all go back to dust as it is a certainty for all mortals, it will be your own name that will be remembered for immortality, something mankind has sought for since the dawn of civilisation.

What you had done will either be remembered and spat with disgust, or if you had saved even just one life, will be remembered fondly, with awe and respect for eternity and by generations to come.

Change for a better world and a better life for everyone else egalitarianly can only happen and start with you and me. It is what we do, that will achieve our immortality for generations. It is you, and there lay your label you sought after, one that truly matters.....

Good luck and cheers! :-)

Good Samaritan, altruist, patron, philanthropist

But actually I think "altruist" answers your question the most accurately because the other words require that you actually 'did' something, not just 'desire' to do something as your question would suggest.
