I'd say the saddest part is that homosexuality is still an issue with some people. It's the 21st century, and a great swathe of this world is still living like it's the dark ages. It's disgusting. People are people, get over yourselves.

That's great! The exposure is better than they would have gotten with a Super Bowl ad.

The ad is hilarious.

But yeah, CBS has every right to do what they did. There's no room for a lawsuit. But many will probably remember this and I hope they boycott CBS. Let the consumer be heard.

I really doubt the "religous nuttters" are the ones you should be blaming (even though it comes second nature to ATS).

Its the Super Bowel, commercials will include, but not limited to.

Beer consumption
Sex(I expect a good trojan man at)
Women playing football in undies
more beer consumption
more sex
more women in undies
Teebow making an ass of himself

I think the nutters you refer to are not really involved in the decision of this one. Maybe something will happen tomorrow and you can find a way to blame them for it.

Nobody has a right to commercial television airtime. Stations own it and can pretty much run whatever they want as long as it fits into a nice little box made by the FCC. Now they can also not run what they want. They don't want to run this and you would like to see them forced to run it.

Sounds alot like Affirmative Action to me.

The largest part of the US who have an issue with gay people are the religious nutters of which I speak.

The nutters might not be responsible directly for the decision, but they sure as hell will make themselves heard should the decision not have gone their way. Look at what happened when Janet Jackson's nipple was shown? They all collectively had a prudish breakdown. Imagine what would happen if *shock* a gay person was featured during their precious ball game? They'd all explode.

I have no problem with CBS rejecting ads - as long as it is across the board and not just singling out gay dating.

They obviously want family-friendly advertising (um, is there any such thing?)

So as long as they ban all dating etc ads, no problem.

It is pretty clear that the gay community is hell-bent on getting their foot in the NFL door. Just last week I read an article centered around the desire to "out" some NFL players. If an NFL player is content being gay and in the "closet" then let them be gay and in the "closet" ...

I couldn't care any less who is gay and who isn't. Why does most of the gay community feel the need to wear their sexuality on their t-shirt?

As for this word I keep seeing, "homophobic" ... Give me a break.

Just because someone can clearly see that same gender sex is a 'freak of nature' does NOT make them a homophobe.

Sex is NOT recreational, it is used to procreate. When 2 men or 2 women can have sex and procreate THEN and only THEN can anyone argue that homosexuality is NOT a " freak of nature" ...

With that said, I support your right to be freaks even if CBS doesn't ... I'm guessing 'GOD' does too ... If THEY don't, then to hell with em'.

Oh and one more thing, before u start beating up on those silly x-tian people. CBS would also reject their request for air time ... You seem to be in the same boat with them on this one. I find it very rude of you to try to throw them overboard.
