Hey All (Especially Canadians),

I have rather mixed feelings about this. Sure, it has it's benefits for the 911 purposes. However, it also means that we can be tracked and traced more 'efficiently' for other purposes. Kind of a double bladed situation to me.

So what do you think?

(Sorry, don't know how to link the article into the post, maybe a mod can help :@@

You should read the story again. It's not a new technology, they're just including the location data that can already be determined for every handset, and automatically including it with the 911 call.

It's nothing new. It's not scary.

Maybe I misunderstood it then, when they referred to it as an "enhanced service". My bad
