What is this honour and dignity of which you speak, and when did we lose it? How did we lose it, and why did we lose it, and why does it have anything to do with the economy.

Sure you lost it when they took away your gun rights from that point forward freedom and rights have been slowly rapped from the British people. The progressives have made a nanny state out of you guys and it looks alot like France. Britain has always been strong and lead the world now you guys don't even build your own ships anymore I think you might even buy them from the french I am not sure.


What people don't realize it is the style of government that will determine how strong the nation is economically. Socialist leaning countries will always be weak and need help history has shown this over and over again. I am by no means some financial genius but I am pretty sure I am right on this one. I think if Britain changed and gave it people their freedoms back and started leading instead of following Britain would rise to the very top again.


And before everyone points out how great China is do some research on them they are on the brink of collapse and have been for awhile their system will fall unless it changes. And you asked about the proud comment this is how I see it when they took away your right to defend yourself something in Britain changed. You guys always made fun of the paper as* French not so much anymore huh. It is called PRIDE

So when was this point when we lost our honour and dignity? Was it the Pistols Act of 1903? We had no welfare state, or national health service at this point and it was a Conservative government that implemented the restrictions. Empire was also fully in effect. Does this fit in with your postulation of a gun ban implemented by a nanny state? In a word, no.

How about the 1920 firearms act? Coalition government. Empire. No welfare state. No national Health service. And yet, gun restrictions. Is this as a result of evil progressives pushing a socialist agenda? Nope.

And then, oh, another restriction of gun access in 1937. And who implemented it? Oh that's right, the Conservative party. Again, no possible conclusion of this being a 'progressive' agenda due to the fact that this government implemented no social programs at all apart from the rich get richer and sod the poor.

I'm not quite sure what this bizarre link between guns and our financial situation is. It can't be anything to do with socialism, because who was the one who sold off all our industry in the first place? Reagan's sweetheart, Maggie Thatcher and her group of merry Conservatives.

Seems to me that you've got a strange notion of some arbitrary point where the British people surrendered to progressive socialism and laid down their arms, despite the fact that this is completely and utterly misinformed and incorrect.

A little more research before such bold pronouncements in future wouldn't go amiss.

You make it sound that the progressives only use the liberal side to get the agenda across maybe I am not the only one who needs to hit the books. At the end of the day the British people have been systematically broken at the hands of there government. And your voices have not been heard in years.
