You don't have to, but it does help! It introduced me to my interest and I can see with your post it made an influence.

My personal favorite is a 38 special (for everyday use) no pic required.

For hunting I prefer this...

It is very effective, easily assembled and disassembled (can be done in seconds), cleverly concealable case and, can kill a target animal without alerting or alarming other "wildlife" in close proximity, but it ain't cheap.

I want one of those things on the end. that is a nice "compensator".
Sadly, mine makes a bit more noise. very little kick, but lots of noise.
Is there a limit to how many you can have in the clip in your state? I used to think it was 5 in NC, but I just found out this year, that there is no limit. Not that I would empty 30 rounds at 1 deer, but it's nice to know that if he attacks you with a machete, you have that option.

I have no single state... I reside in all 48, on the move most of the time, and as far as I know, it is legal in none of them.

Muzzle-flash inhibitors are great fun too!

Especially when you are at war with a rogue herd of animals and want to take out their leaders without giving up your location.

Nice, if you can hang on to it when you fire it, and of course set off every car alarm near by, also lose your hearing for a while after.

Too much bang isn't always a good thing.

My Favorite rifle of all time is my Bushmaster XM15-ES2.

My pistol, and by far my most reliable handgun experience is the Smith & Wesson 459 9mm Blue.

I have owned and run down a few firearms, not these two.

The neatest looking gun i've ever seen.

M240B 7.62mm Medium Machine Gun. Add a M145 Machine Gun Optics (4x) Sight, and its like an automatic sniper rifle, BUT ONLY IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE PIG!!! (Sorry I was a M240 gunner in the Infantry, and I looooooooooooved it)

That's quite disingenuous though, isn't it.
Guns allow for 'easier' killing. There is no other reason for guns than to shoot bullets. They were made to make killing easier, therefore guns allow for the easier killing of people and animals so the tool can take some blame. People might think twice if they had to use their bare hands. (yes, I know there are other weapons that people use too, but the issue here is guns).

I'm glad that I live in a country without a visible and "it's our right" attitude towards guns.

Nasty bloody business.
