Today I visited the conscious media network site to look if they had any intertesting movies to watch. It just struck me when I saw the amount of movies that are made about the 2012 subject.....my first thought was..... WHAT........?

Is this pure busines or are these people really trying to inform us about the things comming our way in that year, on a particular date.....and time...

The other thing is that these film-makers do not always telll the same story, or present the same information. This made me think....is this all based on somebody who cried.....WOLF!!!!!? And everybody with a commercial mind jumps in to make money?

What do you think? When I first heared about this 2012 event I wanted to know more about this calender and especially hat the Mayans themselves think about THEIR calender.

I understand that the Mayans do not really excist as a culture anymore and that only a few have learned about the ways of their ancesters. Well such a person told that we should not worry about it too much and just go on with our daily stuff. Its a Mayan thing !!

I think that these stories about 2012 and what will happen are spread by people who want to make use of the opportunity to make money or to express their inner wishes for change and hope it will materialise on that 'magical' date.

Yes , the near hysteria about the year 2012 in the media today IS all about making a Buck . Terrioism is another subject that has oversaturated our daily lives in the media . Next thing you kinow , we will hear about Alien Terrorists from Outer Space so the PTB can really clean up on all our Induced Fears.........Personally , I jusy try to Ignore it all and get on with my Life . 2012 is all about business... and when other people come into this thread claiming every part of it is real, the book authors and Hollywood studios are rubbing their hands together & smiling...

... and the attention seeking Youtube Prophets are laying back on their beds sharing a post coital cigarette with their self esteem after screwing every new aged space jockey on the planet.

Watching it all go down from the sidelines is both amusing and mildly disturbing.

I imagine a lot of people are going to be upset when they wake up on the days after the 12.12.12 having to go back to their boring jobs having believed the end was nigh. It could have quite an effect on the believers.

I feel there is something in the Planets Alligning however the date is a lot of rubbish, how many stories are we going to ignore on this site that state it is the end of the cycle not time, and even if it was I find it hard to believe an ancient culture could predict it.
It all smells like Y2K, a money making venture that will fizzle out, I cant wait for the numbers of Federations of light and charlatans that will pop up in 2012 if anythings its going to be entertaining

I think the chances of anything happening are slim. I have a weird feeling there will be more and more hype about this eventually in the media. People can scare easily and resort to stupid things right around 12/21/12. Wouldn't surprise me to see massive looting and riots around the date.

Well, the wording of your title is interesting - I doubt anything of significance will happen ON 12/21/12, however, I definitely think any number of events are likely to transpire BY 2012 that will change all of our lives, significantly, for sure!

This is a theory"own meaning" post isnt it? hm anyway..some FACTS cant harm. The 2012 countdown has allready started as predicted. The war situation is rizing. The iran is ready with their "weather controll" weapon. Russia is ready aswell, wanting norway and oil supply for the next 2 years.
Usa is invading Venetzuela and countries close, Haiti just got struck by the US Haarp project wich made a earthquake rich scale of 7.0..

The haiti water space had submarine boats from britain ,they got retreated exactly 1 day before the earthquake. Some special med-groups got extracted out of haiti before the quake.

Us marines landed very fast after the earthquake..having thousands of soldiers ready 2 help the wounded. God job being that fast if ure not really prepared for a quake right`?

Haiti is a poor country with humans not that aware of nowadays situation and technology.

Some of these people might be people who say that y2k didnt happen,Well did u know that it DID happen for over 10 million people?. Even if it didnt happen 2 you it really DID.

Media and propaganda is one of the best ways to manipulate the act of war.

An easy example for the hardminded.

If you stood inside your house in haiti or even 100meters away from your house when the earthquake took place? Did it happen for you?or is it just media fuss like Y2k? Do you then belive the prediction 2 be true? OFC you do.

Now just look at it a bigger scale. then u got your answer.

Interestingly it look sometimes like the conspiracy theorist is more ignorant then the sheep. Brain is still interesting. The only question is: how did you program your "filters". (I hate to know that )

The 2012 paranoia is good for business. It saves a ton of money via free ad placements c/o Hollywood and good old paranoia. It's quite interesting though if we get Y2Ked once it passes.

However, something might happen due to this alignment that I'm reading about. Then again, we aligned a lot of times already. The only prediction I could make during that day of doom (or whatever) is that I'm going to take a trip in the bathroom.

I wanted to single out the word "FACTS" that you used but I decided to keep your entire thought in my answer to your comment.

C'mon man....how can you be sure of what you call facts.....they are nothing more than speculations. Maybe....maybe.....some of what you wrote will happen but nowhere is there a place on the internet or in news papers or government officials that state that HAARP is used in Haiti, or that the countdown has started, or that the US is invading Venezuela.

There is only one fact for the destruction of all life on Earth and that is short after the moment our sun gives way. That is a certainty and fact.

Maybe there are indications something is about to happen .....and will happen but that shouldn't mean it is part of the 2012 event.

Many significant things happened in history but that doesn't mean they are part of the plan that will end the world or of the next fase in human evolution in 2012.

It is what an other commenter said..... we should be aware of not making 2012 a self fullfilling prophecy.
