doesn't really matter if the earthquake was man made or not, just too good an opportunity to let go to waste. fantastic "coincidence" and taken advantage of very quickly.

As has been pointed out, 10,00 troops were mobilised extremely quickly. remember how long it took to decide on the 30,000 for Afghanistan? months!

And that was for the so called #1 foreign policy of defeating Al Quieda.

It's a lot easier to send troops to help with a crisis like an earthquake or some other disaster than it is to send them into combat.

quik question since we are on the topic of Haiti...etc. Does anyone know if Columbia/Panama/Brazil are our allies? JW bcuz if that is the case, then they've really got chavez by the um,uh certain lower extremities.

i would think that the strategic planners would have their chess pieces in the best possible place for all contingencies, including disasters, to achieve their goals.

My thoughts too. The same goes with all the full body scanners for airports. Very quick moves.
