Unfortunately Grayson is a moron. He's repeatedly made a jackass of himself, I can't imagine anyone respecting him or his words.

However corporate influence over government is bad. The only thing as powerful when our country was founded was the Church of England. And we made sure there was separation of church and state so we could worship without government favoritism or suppression.

We need separation of the corporate church from government.

The Progressive movement should not exist in the U.S. They go against EVERYTHING that represents the Republic.

It is kind of ironic that a Progressive is trying to use this as a tool for his movement, when it is obvious this is part of what the Progressives want.

One of the main judges who ruled in favor of this is John Paul Stevens, and although he was nominated by a Republican, it is a fact that Stevens is a Liberal.

Anthony M. Kennedy has also been known to vote in favor for both Republican, and Liberal issues.

Yes, this is a bad decision, but certainly it is a decision that favors the Progressives. They had their butts handed to them not being able to pass their socialized medicine as they keep trying to centralize, and merge all the power of the Republic to the state.

BTW, how many people here think that Progressives are multi-millionaires, and billionaires because they don't make any deals with corporations?....

Alan Grayson is a sub-retard demagouge what does what the focus groups and his handlers tell him to do. Oh, Ron Paul is bashing the fed? And he's popular? O, I'll do that too.

How does it feel being so blinded by your ideology? I suppose that knife in your back is totally excusable because a Neocon put it there?

Yes Grayson is a liberal. Yes he is for liberal policies. Unfortunately for you, sometimes there are issues that should transcend ideology. This is one of those situations. Who gives a crap if Grayson is a hardcore socialist pinkie commie muslim? At least he recognizes that this SCOTUS judgement just handed this country to China.

You completely glossed over the horrific decision the Conservative SC made, and tried to shift the blame to "Progressives". I hope you realize one day that some situations transcend ideology. I truly feel sorry for you.

I am glad that many of us, both Conservative and Liberal, have been able to come together and rise above petty differences to see each as we truly are, Americans, who are being screwed by the elite.

I truly hope one day you can also do the same.

Avenging Gecko.

I'm tired of hearing about the PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT. ALmost everyone on here posting this stuff is just spewing out crap they heard on GB's show.

It's amazing isn't it? Glen Beck spend each day hammering the 'progressive movement' while over 17 million have no jobs...millions are losing their homes. He's trying to quell what should have already happened.

He's trying to convince people that the wealthy should keep their money ev en though MILLIONS are hurting.

That is all he is doing. Read between the lines. His SILENCE on the supreme court ruling proves it.

Country was just sold to China and other foreign interests/corporations...yet he's talking about Progressive's and CHairman Mao.

I am reaching the point of no return, I refuse to vote for corporate politicraps and rats and any prostitute in Washington.

The age of the Manchurian Candidates are here to stay.

Who said the next president has to be Chinese or from any other country to do what foreign interest want, or to have a Chinese or foreign congress when they can be bought and sold.

People are waking up too slow and is getting too late, our sons and daughters will be forced into slavery and fights for those that pay the most money in politics.

America the land of the free is no longer.

Well there you have it. The inaction of the United States citizen has finally paid off for the elites.

As far as I'm concerned, this is just as much a problem created of the people and by the people, as it is for the Senators that can now be bought off.

Its finally here in full force, the "real and true, fascist NWO." At this point, I don't see much that can be done other than bending over and asking our rapists to "Be gentle."

The conspiracy is over...welcome to reality.

Nope...people want to remain in their blind and ignorant shell. It won't mean anything to them until it affects them directly. By then...OOOPS, too late.

Unfortunately...Grayson isn't really the point here. The point is that money has won over the way politics will be decided from this point forward. Grayson was merely pointing out what you should already be aware of and what your partisanship obviously blinds you in being able to see.

So, who is more of a moron...him for being in the prime position that he is and the ability to recognize the direction of our country while protecting people like you, or you for being an ignorant, sideline, voiceless judge whose opinion means about squat to the elites who are about to mow you over like an ant. Continue protecting the status quo...see where it gets you. You might even qualify as a house pet for them one day.

You and l should talk in about 5 years when you're screaming about armed revolution 10 years too late. Isn't that the way it always works???

And by the way...I don't support armed revolution. Its obvious that world wide consciousness still hasn't achieved enough clout to reverse this.

The solution to the corporate takeover of human society, and its vast reduction, lies in the power of the internet.

If we spread the information of the key things that have to occur to bring what some may call "heaven on earth," a raising of all from the material needs into a position of personal choice, lies in the bringing together a philosophy and key material and tactical elements.

The philosophy is pure Ethics: the Three Laws apply.

Do not willfully harm or kill another; do not willfully damage or take another's property; do not willfully defraud another.

The internet is key to bring us together, of course. A site where we all can propose problems and say where solutions might lie. With "stars much like here at ATS, but with high starred issues raising upward, and one votes down the levels (or can skip them if there is no interest), to local issues at the bottom - a site like this I describe could make problem solving on a global scale possible.

Through the internet we combine this with the extraction of usable energy from the "Dark" Energy all around us. Some of you reading this already know we can extract it. Why we talk about it all over the media, this "Dark" Energy, but never question whether we can use it is one thing that lets me know the media are controlled. I mean, if one is thinking, one surely must wonder oneself whether we can access this energy for our use. Why does no media in the mainstream ever ask?

Robotics - our machines and our instructions - are now highly sophisticated, and we could easily and soon put something into place that would do all the jobs no one wanted to do. But I suspect we would find that there were a surprisingly large number of "jobs" we would find which are the worker's bliss. And jobs done by people whose bliss it is to do them are done far better than those done by the ones who hate to do them.

Entropy would be halted and even reverse if the "Dark" Energy were used on this planet. To grasp why the very fact that the usable energy we get is "cold" is one clue. The coldness (negentropic nature) is balanced by the warmth (work, entropy) we receive.

And money would disappear. No need. We would exchange power over others for complete power over ourselves. Our preferred choices would be met, materially. And thus it would be human, personal interaction that would be the focus, with no coerrsion of material things. Currency would shift into a reputational realm. Character would be the measure of richness, not bank accounts.

My book tries to illustrate how we can escape the evil encroaching, and I hope you all read it and share its ideas and goals. For this corporate absolving of any personal responsibility is precicely my aim to eliminate when I wrote it.

And this is why I have been so adamant in pushing this. I could see this coming so clearly, as well as what it will look like when it's over, and if we don't do something together, They will win.

Progressives

What exactly is this Progressive movement. What exactly is it they want?

Why is it now called a progressive movement, instead of a liberal movement?

I believe it is the old hide in plain site. Just rename the movement. This whole thing with Grayson and this declaration of uncontitutionality of that piece of crap legislation, is just another deflection and obfuscation technique.

Yes, we all think corporations being able to manipulate the electoral process is bad. So what is this really? An attack on the evil capitalists? Well, why don't these people call for the enforcement of anti-monopoly laws? How about breaking up these mega banks and mega insurance companies?

No, what the movement wants to do is control everything. EVERYTHING. I wonder what the people being lead around by their slave chains are going to say when there NEW UTOPIA is installed and they have even less then they do now!

I know what I will say, "I TOLD YOU"!

Personally I think this arguement is summed up by this...

Obama's first year

(This is not an attempt to derail, just an example)

What caught me and the point I find relevant is the statement 'Here at MSN News, these questions don't bother us.' (in reference to Obama's track record).

Here is an example TODAY of a corporation deciding what information is relevant to a political discussion. It can also be argued they are subtly influencing people's thoughts on the issue by implying it isn't important enough to merit comments.

Or how about this one...

Fox News can lie - Supreme Court

When companies legally own the US government outright and can have any law they want passed, what possible chance is there for the actual people? The system of Democrats vs. Repulicans, flawed though it may be, will be replaced by Kelloggs vs. Nestle, Ford vs. GM...party affiliations will be irrelevant, the corporate dollar will dictate all.

Add to that their ability to lie about what they're up to when asked and how long until we see the Honorable Delegate from Raytheon on CNN; here to explain how the proposal 'Surface Dumping of Nuclear Waste' is really about supplying milk to school children: It just has a poorly chosen name.

Extreme? Yes, but it's inevitable.

Is this what people want? Do people really believe that things are going to get better?

This is the highest level of corruption and disassociation made legal.

This shouldn't be a surprise. Give any government this much power, and they will abuse it.

Big government => ultimate power => legislation for sale => slavery

Sorry I haven't read the whole thread yet, I will read it later, but I wanted to make a comment. People are not just apathetic. People will not hear!!!!! I was standing in a line at the Post Office today. Everyone was so quiet, I decided to speak up. I asked if anyone was upset about the direction the country was taking. Silence. I told them that if they read The Creature From Jekyll Island they would really be upset about things. Still silence.
Here we are heading for disaster is a handcart and nobody will turn their heads.
Even saying anything was such a faux paux, but it was like they pretended not to hear. Don't they care. They were not going to hear anything. The funniest part was that no one would even tell me to shut up. I was invisible. Nothing happened.
G. Edward Griffin says that people are apathetic because you don't give them any solutions. If it is all doomsday and no hope, then people don't want to hear it. But it is not all doomsday and no hope. There are plenty of ways to do something about it. But people are in a "this is the way we behave" trance. What can we do to wake people up?

What a fast response. Thanks for noticing. I really feel that we have to get through to these people. I tried, when the weather was a little warmer making signs and walking around with them at rush hour. Things like "The Supreme Court is not the final word on the Constitution, YOU ARE" and some against the Swineflu vax. People were responsive, in other words they honked at me, but the only person to stop me and ask what I was doing was probably a cop. He didn't have a uniform but he wanted to know if I belonged to any kind of an organization, that's when I figured he was a cop. But the problem is very serious. People are still watching main media news and accepting whatever they are told and are careful not to think too hard about it. What can we do?

What this whole thing comes down to is that the American people don't count for beans anymore. It doesn't matter what we think, we have been overruled. The Supreme Court has been bought and paid for, we all know that, but they still get the respect of a legitimate court. The President gets the respect of a legitimate President, even though he has violated the Constitution enough times this year already to be impeached. Our illegal military is being directed by our super illegal CIA to commit attrocities in our name and we have nothing to say about it. What they are doing in Haiti is anybody's guess. It is "none of your business" just send money.
Now they are inventing draconian taxes to finish off our economy under the theory that a prosperous nation will be harder to subdue than a strong one. We need to stand up like in "Horton Hears a Who" and object and loud.

If we got our legislature back we could pass laws to protect ourselves from these monsters. I would like to see a law limiting usury on credit cards to 30%.

[edit on 23-1-2010 by m khan]
It would actually be better to see a law throwing all the big banksters in jail and abolishing the UN.

The 1st Amendment.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Now that you have read this, tell me what you don't understand?

This is so simple, I am amazed and thankful the Supreme Court got it right!
