You have provided no link to the condition of the Canadian healthcare system.

I have.

Yes over 91% of Canadians are in denial and support a system that sucks, while, in the US only 25% are happy and support a system that is great
READ the peoples posts and information in your OWN thread. You are the Americans I'm alluding to......projectvxn, here's your biggests problem lol!

You really have no independent thoughts do you? CHECK your facts. But you won't because it goes against your doctrine.........the world is going down hill because of people like you LOL Enjoy your Palin BS and vote for Johny on the next American Idol. Thought I'd give non-invovled/ non-biased opinion, but obviously you don't want to hear it. Adios fool!

The people I hear opposing it the most are elderly medicare/social security recipients. Their medical fees are already going up before a bill is even passed, and they're not getting a social security COLA for a year or two. They see health care reform as a threat, as they should. They worked all their lives for these benefits.

No, the people lost, capitalism in America is control by the few, Big corporations propaganda has convinced the population that Obama is a socialist, when trying to help the tax payer and the people of the nation that are actually the ones that "use to rule the government, been socialist", this nothing more than turn back some of the power that corporations has stolen from the people to where it belongs in the hand of the voters.

America was not build for the corporation but for the people and by the people, in America the corporation now is mostly foreign owned, our nation is losing its sovereignty in front of our eyes because the misguide believes that anything that goes against the corporation and for the people is socialism.

Wake up my friend we are entering now the age of slavery once again but this time is not some rich plantation owner now is the corporations power.

We the people are alwasy the losers when it comes to money and power of those than can control laws

You forgot that the job of govenremnt is to work for the people no against it.

Try using your head for more than a place to put your hat.

3 biggest lobbyist groups , Insurance , Pharma, Oil

Why do you think that is, the more profits they make, means less money

towards Healthcare.

It's a easy concept to grasp.

So what is this? Class envy?
The rich control capitalism? Well at least someone is in control.
The PEOPLE of Massachusetts have spoken. Are you listening to
what they said?
They said NO to Team Obama and his ObamaCare mess.
Thank God!
Obama/Pelosi/Reid are in full damage control mode.
-----------------------------------------------
Obama attacked the banks just to change the subject.
The stock market crashed after he said it. Thank you
for that wonderful leadership. I think Obama should go
play golf 29 more times and then just go home to Chicago.
------------------------------------------------
BTW, i think your view of the USA is distorted.
America STILL has a financially strong middle class.
For some reason the glass is half empty in your eyes.
I know things look bad right now but we actually have a very
bright future.
Think 10 years ahead not 10 minutes ahead.
I have hope for you.

The right to lobby is written in the constitution.
No system is perfect.
Which nation has a better system?
----------------------------------------------
BTW, what is wrong with profits?
Profits allow a corporation to grow and hire more people.
Profits also allow corporations to put money in the bank
which allows them to weather market downturns and to
respond to competitive challenges.

Eurikso.

YOu do realize now that Chinese corporations can flood our political system with money right?

For those who think Eurisko is a genius...let's take a look at this thread he wrote 2 years ago.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Here are some snippets from this wonderful thread.

Economy is growing. Unemployment is under 5%. The war in Iraq is almost over. We had VE day. We had VJ day. Now Victory in Iraq is on it's way. Our future has never been brighter!

The $9 trillion national debt is manageable. Our understanding of the economy has never been better. By harnessing the power of the underground economy, we will be able to pay down the national debt FAST. We will also be able to fund Medicare/Social Security easily. All we have to do is get rid of ALL paper money and tax every point of sale 2 cents. Knowledge is power.

What parts are growing? Drop by Apple HQ in Cupertino and ask them if the USA is heading for a depression/recession. They will probably tell you to put down the bong and go play your iPod. The Iraq war will 99% over by October 2008. That spells V-I-C-T-O-R-Y for republicans and D-E-F-E-A-T for democrats.

The American public is tapped out. Where have i heard this before? Oh yeah. Every year for the last 8 years. Change your tune.

As long as you libs think I'm throwing BS, let me tell you a third story out of the UK. I work for a company that has an office in England; one of the guys I work with went over there with his wife about two-and-a-half or three years ago; they had no children at the time.

They had their first child not too long after arriving. Before the child turned one it had some health issues. They took the child to the local clinic; my co-worker and his wife weren't thrilled with the doctors & staff but apparently they couldn't go to another clinic - they could only go to their neighborhood clinic and that was that.

Well, they moved to another neighborhood where there was a 'better' clinic and the doctors there figured out what the kid had and fixed it. So, like people in the U.S. who look for a house with a good school system, people in the U.K. apparently look for a house with a good health clinic.

Perhaps someone from the U.K. could verify this for us all but I don't see why my co-worker would lie.

I got Iraq correct also.
The U.S. military is running out of Iraq and into Afghanistan.
Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

what surprises me most about the health care issue, that most people can't seem to get their head around is if we do nothing.
The cost of medicade/medicare will bankrupt this country in just a few years.
The big point that they are trying to do is get most of the people off of the books and on to some kind of insurance. We have the baby boomers retireing now and god knows how many unemployed and the illegal aliens.
It's all going to crash the system very soon.
And all the while we are bickering about government run health care. lol
Soon instead of healthcare being a big issue, we will all be in the soup lines.

No. We won't be in soup lines.
We have a few good solutions.
Just calm down. You won't see them until January 2013.

Our solution will make government smaller.
Does that sound like a step in the right direction?
Step 1: Tort Reform

yeah i like the idea of smaller government too, but when was the last time that conservatives actually acted in a conservative manner. Republican administrations have spent and expanded government more 100% of the time during my lifetime.

so I'll ask again, what makes you think theres any difference between one side or the other?

you honestly can't tell yer getting shafted either way?

Your response is not just an insult to my intelligence, it's an insult to intelligence period.

what kind of fool do you take me for? I'm not trusting anyone with an answer like that.
Even you can't deny that was a horrible attempt at explaining your position. You'd have been better off not responding at all.

sheesh

That's completely incorrect. They aren't opposing reform, they are opposing that 2,000 page monstrosity that Nancy Pelosi hefted in front of America which is the opposite of health care reform.

I do hope that real health care reform isn't dead, but I am glad the Obamacare package is dead (for now).
