The Gecko said "fancy a crisp"...He's English...

I hate that damn Gecko and their company....

When I got married, went to renew my policy.
They said, due to status change, I'd have to pay a fee for them to re-evaluate coverage.
Then, after paying them this fee, they said "nope".

No accidents, no tickets, safe driver, over 25, good student, etc. and all...same with her.

Man, was I peeved.... Screw the damn Gecko...

I know he is a Brit, I heard that accent a lot.
I am so glad to see that commercial instead of that stupid caveman commercial.
I hate them.

It isn't Kiwi, and it isn't Australian I can guarantee that. The voice is British no matter where the (real) gecko is native. If a CGI talking gecko does indeed have a native country

it's definitely British, but just to be different my vote is for Atlantic.

Roswell.

[edit on 22/1/2010 by roswell1]

Could the little bugger have learned his accent in his home town of Bombay during British occupation? Excuse me for not being with the thread. I got a u2u that said it was gently deposited in the trash bin??
I started in general conspiracy?
So your vote is for an Atlantic accent? glup, glub.

That is correct. I did too. That is why I put the thread up in conspiracy to begin with. I will check with the panel and see if a negitive Ausie vote can cancle a plus Ausie vote.
Thanks nexus
PS Olivia Newton John's voice is creamy as silk chocolate to me.

Hey darkelf
Thanks for that info. I was pointing out another Jake to those that might mistake him for a ball player. Was Mel Black English also?

Thanks for the vote Gazrok
I will try to tally it so there are no feathers ruffled. You know the British/English/Scottish thing.
Just for the record I want to say I appreciate all from the British Isles.
Which include Ireland you know? I have heard British accents from native islanders and folks from India.
So you will have a hard time finding the gecko and wringing his neck.
Some of my Mums folks are from Lincolnshire back in the 15th century.

Your member name reminds me of my trip along California US1
Great ride. I include the link to remind you that these guys had early British accents and feelings also.
I will not consult the election board. I will give you 1 vote British and one negative Caveman for originality and hate. lol

1- minus caveman
1- minus Aussie
1 - Atlantic
1- hybrid Cockney
1- Kiwi
1- Aussie
2- Reptilian
2- English
7- British

Mystery solved?

Not sure who Mel Black is, but on one of the Geico sites I found this:

It’s been a while coming, but the news is now out that the new voice of Geico Gecko, in a hybrid Cockney London style, is Jake Wood, English comedian and actor.

theinspirationroom.com...

What I find more interesting and conspiritorial is the racism towards cavemen. If you replace caveman with any ethnic or racial group you'll see what I mean.
