For the two elitist posts above ^^^^.

Fact: More people watch Fox News than the other "news" networks combined.

No one is forcing anyone to do that. People are making a free choice to do so - even though many elitists would deny people's ability to get their news where choose to do so.

So, I'll repeat what I said earlier.

What if it's you (that really doesn't get it)?

BTW, drwizardphd. "phd"
Take some of your own advice and YOU try looking at things from more than an elitist liberal viewpoint. Can you?

And misoir. Name calling does NOT make you sound more intelligent than the people you attempt to disparage for watching Fox News.

I don't get how you could call FOX fair and balanced, they're painfully biased as witnessed in this video:

It doesn't matter how many people watch FOX, is that supposed to give them some kind of credibility? They're the best because they've attracted the attention of the majority of "sheeple"?

A lot of garbage is popular, World of Warcraft, Britney Spears, reality shows, the list is endless. If something is popular and pushed hard then it's probably mind-numbing or bad for us in some way.. sort of.

"Be daring, be different, be impractical; be anything that will assert integrity of purpose and imaginative vision against the play-it-safers, the creatures of the commonplace, the slaves of the ordinary."
- Cecil Beaton

The day I would take the masses word for anything....
They were convinced the world was flat, scientists and mystics were burned by them.
Now the majority of them watches FOX news and most of them still believe everything their leaders tell them.

So....is Bill O'Reilly wrong?
Did the Amsterdam government shut down the brothels and
marijuana shops?

Did he just make it all up?
-------------------------------------
I think you're just whining because Bill exposed the truth.

-----------------------------------
BTW, the other networks "cherry pick" the news.
If it doesn't fit their political agenda, they ignore it.
That is why everyone is running to the Fox News Network.
The whole truth that is fair and balanced.

Yeah, he's clearly wrong.
Pot and prostitution is legal there and that's his ticket to attack, but when you look at the actual statistics the Netherlands policies on drugs are far more successful than the US war on drugs which is a joke.

I don't even know if you're serious what with the "
" smily.
You really think O'Reilly is telling you the truth? Sounds absurd coming from this site..

So......let me ask again.
Was Bill O'Reilly wrong.
Did the Amsterdam shut down the brothels and the pot shops???
Did Bill wake up one day and make all this up?
Come on. Wake up.
Are you smoking pot right now?

Fox is probably the most fair and balanced but I have to give CNN a close 2nd if not tie for first. Used to watch em all the time until around 06 when I just noticed that the left was running wild on there. Would love to see CNN get back in the ring especially since they do a little better with their ireporting thing. But the msm is altogether muddled for ratings all while keeping the american people torn between right and left. I lost a lot of respect for Fox the other day on their coverage of the supreme court ruling. Oreilly was the only one that called it right and he didn't spend nearly enough time on the subject. Oh well msm can just buy politics outright now so whatever.

A little known secret about Fox News ratings, a majority of their viewers are geriatric. Look at the 25-54 demographics, that's the one advertisers care about.

Go to any nursing home and you'll usually find it turned to Fox News.

Nice try. How many 25-54 year old people do you classify as "geriatric" and find in nursing homes?

Instead you can call those people the ones with enough life experience to be able to call BS on what the "progressives" are trying to pull.

Fox, right or wrong, dominates the competition. As for intellectual thought and discussion, want to discuss how baby eating alien shape-shifting reptiles rule the US Govt? Maybe how the Holocaust never happened and Hitler was the really the good guy....oh yeah, real deep intellectual thought.

Fox News is a complete joke, anyone who thinks that they are fair and balance is in trouble.

Hate to tell you, but American Idol gets good ratings too, doesn't mean squat.

I'm sure the ppl who think fox news is fair and balance probably believe in Reptilians too.

That is where you're wrong. People watch Fox news for its entertainment value not because they believe Glen Beck and Co.

It's a circus, a freak show, unfortunately that's the society we live in. The WWE get's good ratings.

BTW 294 million ppl agree with me.

Even the White House disagrees with you.

Robert Gibbs appeared on Fox News Sunday today!

Air America is going bankrupt.

I wonder why?

People who watch fox news don't watch it for truth. They either watch it for entertainment or for the fact that they're right wing hacks. You really seem incapable at admitting that fox news, a well known right wing news source, actually has a bias. I watch it a lot, and, I will let you know, that it does in fact have somewhat of a conservative bias.

I can't stand Sean Hannity. Bill O Reily isn't so bad. Then there's Glenn Beck. If you don't want to admit that Glenn Beck is a conservative, and, he's conservatively biased I don't know what to tell you.

Can't wait to see all the responses to this from the Fox haters here. You know, the ones that will say something like it just goes to prove how many really stupid people there are in this country.

Question for the Fox haters:

What if it's you?

I didn't read all the responses so this may have been addressed, but the fact that so many people watched FOX, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, etc for their instruction on political action does in fact indicate that there are far too many stupid people in this country.

Sorry if that makes me some sort of liberal monster, but fortunately I believe you at least know my posts well enough to know that I am no such thing and hate both sides equally.

That won't happen for a long time. A Democrat or a Republican will co-opt the anti-government sentiment and use it for their political campaign to make them appear for the people. We need a really strong movement with everyone involved on all sides of the isle, or, it wont work. We almost had the conditions for a revolution during 2008, but, Obama and the Democrats co-opted all the movements.

Nuff Said.

And I think it is a good thing a Republican won Ted Kennedy's seat, now we don't have to worry about the awful mess that was healthcare reform.

Why yes, that you for saving me the time... On to defending the Neocon landmark
SCOTUS decision, must keep up to the standards set forth by the Iraq war, the Patriot act and the wonderful smooth handling of a previously devastated economy. Certainly your teams has tallied up some great success's
FOX just makes everything better
IMHO, like a cherry in a tall icy glass of Coca Cola.

Neocon's remove yer costumes, it is safe to be who you are again! I am glad because it is not healthy to repress one's true nature. Anyhow

CONGRATS SEAN! These members share in your wealth, but not in a socialist way,
well, you get the picture.

Yes, ObamaCare is dead. Cap & Trade is dead.
From now until November Obama will talk about jobs
but actually do nothing except blame George W. Bush.
They talked about this on Fox News Sunday. Go Fox!

According to fox news George W Bush also saved our economy. He racked up a 13 trillion dollar debt and set dangerous precedents for executive power more so than recent Presidents before him. Do you really believe everything you see in the media? And there are plenty of leftists who are just as mad as Obama as they were as mad at Bush. You can't paint them all with a broad brush.
