Lewis said he wants to emphasize fundamental basketball instead of "street-ball" played by "people of color."
His premise is that he doesn't want to play B-ball with the guys from the 'hood. That's not flawed, it's a choice. He should be free to get a league together of like-minded people.

Let's back up a step here. I have no problem with people associating with whom they please, supporting what they choose, spending their money where they see fit.
In this case, the guy's entire premise is flawed.

Style of basketball has no color. It's absurd on the face of it. Bob Knight had plenty of players "of color" and they were as fundamentally sound and well disciplined as any teams who have ever played. Mike Krzyzewski at Duke, the same way.
Anyone honestly think the motivation here is in the emphasis on the style?

HELLO IN THERE! There have been black Miss America's. But they still have their own pageant. Yes, please tell me why there is a need for a Miss Black USA.

No, it should be MISS AMERICA, now do we need to go into why there is a MISS BLACK AMERICA? Where did this come from?
"Rule number seven," which stated that "contestants must be of good health and of the white race."
