FBI Caught Lieing, abuse Patriot Act

After the 911 attacks, the USA Patriot Act greatly expanded the Government's ability to monitor American citizens.

But the authorization had to be tied to a OPEN terrorism investigation.

Seems that civil liberties were ignored on 2000 phone calls by invoking False Terrorist

threats, to justify the collecting of the phone records.

The FBI has since issued a Blanket authorization covering all past searches, even

though the legality of that is being questioned.

Basically , there has been abuses of the Patriot Act, that have come to the light of

day. What a lot of people feared is coming to pass , and that is a mis-use of
