Hey all,

As some may remember ,
this thread I made not too long ago... on the "StarWalker Show"
Here.. www.abovetopsecret.com...

Well, I signed up,
and today I received an email saying that I have been selected,
and that I am going to at least be on the very first "episode", and if I make it further..
So be it... lol

Anyway, I remember another member made a post not long after i made that thread, and he told how he was selected and getting ready to start training or something.

This morning , This is the email in my inbox.....

I am wondering..

As I did not really expect to be chosen ( though I am ecstatic to have been)..
andI really feel that I most likely could get past the first round, at least.
the 1/2 marathon... pretty sure I could manage that.
But who knows what else they got goin. lol

I am still kind of skeptical. Almost seems "too good to be true"

Has anyone learned anymore about this program?
What does the majority say?

Beat? or Kosher?

It seems real, but who knows with the stuff that goes on in this world. lol

Im not feeling the whole "facebook" thing, but we'll see.

Here is the letter i received....
name omitted..

Congratulations!

We have selected you to be an entrant in STARWALKER.

This means that, subject to all normal terms and conditions of entry

www.starwalkershow.com...

you will be a competitor in at least the first episode of our show.

It will be entirely your efforts which will determine your progress to
subsequent episodes.

Full briefing and all documents related to same will be sent to you by the
Directors of Operations at a later date. What you will receive at that time
will include amongst other things:

1. a medical questionnaire. THIS MUST BE COMPLETED, AND COMPLETED
ACCURATELY.

2. an affidavit. THIS MUST BE SWORN OR AFFIRMED AND RETURNED TO US WITHIN
FIVE DAYS. scanning it and emailing it is fine. Otherwise post it to
Starwalker c/o PO BOX 2232 TUGGERANONG ACT CANBERRA AUSTRALIA 2902

3. an information pack containing etiquette, onscreen behaviour, locations
and other mandatory information.

For now we recommend joining with us on Facebook, visiting the blog
frequently for updates, and also checking in on the website although this
last is less important.

You will soon see advertised "free entry on website" and "paid entry by
mobile phone" for our programme. YOU ARE ALREADY SELECTED FOR ENTRY.
Therefore do NOT re-enter.

You are as of now fully under the terms and conditions of the show. Please
be aware of this, it is within the discretion of the Producers to exclude
you from the show at any time for any breach of the terms and conditions.

Information relating to the episodes and challenges will gradually be made
available as part of a "teaser" process on the Facebook group. We would
strongly suggest that you join that group and visit often to get maximum
advantage. We can confirm for you immediately that Episode 1 consists of
three filming days, four non-filming days covering the following content for
you:

***

Offscreen:
Executive Producer's Welcome
*Final check of your certificate, affidavit, identity and bona fides
*Legal clearances
*Medical clearances
*Training advice
Information evening on how we will film you
Hints and Clues
Who Are You? Defining Yourself To An Audience (Be Yourself)

Departure - anyone too scared to continue may leave at this point.

Onscreen: EPISODE 1 "THE SEARCH"

DAY 1: THE RACE
Filming of preparation, lecture and meet-and-greet
Filming of interviews at discretion of Segment Director and Presenters
21 kilometre "Half Marathon": Segment 1 "How Much Do You Want It?"
After-Race Interviews
The Cut (50% of entrants eliminated)

DAY 3: BOAT CHALLENGE
Filming of preparation, lecture and meet-and-greet
Filming of interviews at discretion of Segment Director and Presenters
"Boat Challenge": Segment 2 "Live Together"
After-Challenge Interviews
The Cut (50% of entrants eliminated)

All safety, medical and referee supervision is provided by the show and is
of professional standard. All medical and safety intervention is done by
relevant independent bodies, and not by the show. If the independent
observers call a halt to an activity for you, THAT ACTIVITY IS HALTED FOR
YOU. Allowance is always made for the effect such intervention, if it
occurs, may have on other competitors.

As you can see, at the end of filming of the first Episode, we will halved
the entrants group twice. Please try not to be upset if you are eliminated,
the probability is high that the competition will be tough, physically and
mentally. Even to compete is an achievement.

***

There will be much more information for you closer to the date. At this
stage filming of Episode 1 "The Search" will take place worldwide in May
2010. If you successfully pass to later rounds, you will need to be
available May 2010 through April 2011 at the absolute maximum, inclusive.

Finally, it is up to you and is your responsibility to get to the filming
location for Episode 1 when you are informed of this location. Should you
progress past Episode 1 we will then provide the DIRECT expenses and travel
associated with the show. But for Episode 1- IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to
attend.

However for now, please accept the sincere congratulations of the entire
production team. Even having the determination and bravery to enter the
STARWALKER competition marks you out from the ordinary and indicates you
have a more than average degree of intrepidity. Celebrate that!

Congratulations again, and best of luck to each and all of you!

Office of Executive Producer,
STARWALKER

Sounds like a scam. There was some other guy on here a month ago who kept creating new ATS accounts and posting this stuff as an advertisment.

Pretty sure this is a scam so be carefull.

I'm up for the mini-marathon
BUT a trip to Australia right now probably not in the cards for me...

Sounds like an NWO attempt to round up ATS Members & EXTERMINATE

Lmao makes sense. just accidently click the seat eject while in space on all of us. would not mind that at all, ill just wear a parachute and go back into orbit and fly on back down. imagine that, see all of North America while free falling. ha, if they ever invent that, im in.

It appears that all you have to do to enter is name/email? That's it? No forms, background, essays or videos about why they should pick you? Not to mention tryouts? That seems really odd, don't ya think? Contrast that to auditions for shows like Survivor and Amazing Race and you've got what could be called a "too good to be true" moment...

ETA: oh, I see. The first screening process is the run, which would eliminate 50% of the people. I wonder how many total are competing in that entry? Hmmm, it's getting more interesting...

In my distant youth, I received, in the mail a congratulatory note and an invitation to pick up my prize on a certain date. A brand new TV! All I had to do was bring the postcard and my ID to this place in town I would get a new TV.

I forgot to go.

Turns out, the only people who "Won" this prize were those with warrants out for their arrest. (I did say DISTANT youth, right?). The "offer" brought in a bunch of bail and bond jumpers. The police had no TVs, by the way.

Kinda reminds me of that...hmmmm

LOL reminds me of:

Wiggum: I mailed these bogus prize certificates to every scofflaw in
Springfield. When they show up for their free motor boats we arrest
them and beat them to the full extent of the law.
Eddie: So the hook is baited.
Lou: Nice metaphore Eddie!
Wiggum: Yeah, good work, Eddie!

Homer is one of the scofflaws Chief Wiggum spoke about, and he's driving the family to the station to pick up a motorboat Homer supposedly won.

Homer: Up and away in my beautiful my beautiful motor boat! Da da da da!
Bart: But we didn't enter any police raffle.
Homer: That doesn't matter, the important thing is we won.
[parks]
Marge: I don't know, there's something very peculiar about
this!
Homer: Sheesh! You're the most paranoid family I've ever been
affiliated with. [gets out]

Snake beat Homer to the station, but Homer tries to cut to the front of the line.

I'd like a yellow boat please, with extra motors.

Snake: Yo! No cuts bro! Where's my motor boat pig?
Wiggum: Right through that door [he laughs. Snake enters we hear screams.]
Wiggum: Alright, Simpson, Homer. Your'e next.
Homer: Wohoo! [goes through] Howdy gents. I'm hear to collect my free...
[they get him] Oh, oh, my boating arm. What's going on?

*later on tv*

Kent Brockman: Coming up next, an hilarious boat give-a-way
scam, that's Springfield's Dumbest Criminals!
Homer: [laughs] Sounds like good watching.

haha

thanks everyone for your replies.

i am leaning more towards this being some kind of ..hmm..." not what it says it is" myself... lol

It just doesnt feel right.

also, I was wondering about the whole having to go to australia to, ( tho ive always wanted to go) lol

So I re-read the email a few times...
okay... like 5 or 6 times.

after the third time or so.. I finally became aware of this part of this sentence... lol, in Bold

and it says....
Finally, it is up to you and is your responsibility to get to the filming
location for Episode 1 when you are informed of this location. Should you
progress past Episode 1 we will then provide the DIRECT expenses and travel
associated with the show. But for Episode 1- IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

So it doesnt exactly say we would have to go to australia,
but that we will be informed when they want to tell us, where to go.

it does feel shady..
and even loooks kinda shady. lol

who knows,
ill let intuition navigate this here grey, shady ocean. haha

Thanks again everyone, i appreciate your thoughts.

Yeah, but, unlike Homer, I forgot to even go! But, yeah. That's the scam. It's good to know something (else) I've experienced has been parodied by The Simpsons!

Maybe it's shady... always wise to error on the side of caution... but, it could be that they are keeping it secret so as not to "spoil" the show and ruin the surprise. Leaks could make/break a reality show like this.

ETA: just don't give 'em any money!

It sounds like they're selling timeshares to an Alien-themed Park.

So, you buy a ticket to....wherever, and then, if you pass the "exam" they'll ship you off -free, mind you, to the next...installment.

Meh, what do ya got to lose?

lol, thanks peeps.

I had a dream last night that this really is fake.

and in the dream, the purpose of doing it was just to see how many
"regular people" would actually be willing to go into space if given the chance. lol

However, I just took a look around, and found some possible info.... lol
realstarwalkers.blogspot.com...

Check out this facebook group. www.facebook.com...
They have lots of information for anyone considering this show.

Interesting facts that have turned up

1. Stephen Hawking is not involved with the show despite their claims.
2. Red Vision is not a co-producer but simply a company approached to do CGI effects.
3. Starwalker posted fraudulent PR statements under a PR companies name who didn't approve or write it.

Some Googling has been done and it has turned up some interesting items. Namely, who are the people behind Starwalker?

Jameson Sansom-jones - (Currently insolvent with an 8 year order against him)
Tony Jarmey - (the owner of the company providing the expensive SMS entries)
Richard Myles - (is a secruity guard)
Mischa Perez - (is also a security guard)
Greg Smith - (is suing a website for $42.5 million)
Jonathan Nolan - (Disbarred lawyer with three counts involving defalcation)

Interesting indeed.

Things you should ask yourself before entering.
1. Where is the money coming from?
2. Why are Jonathan and Greg so protective of their previous work? They have forbidden people from discussing it on their discussion board and have actively censored members.
3. Where are their previous works? Can you find them?
4. Greg Smith is currently suing a small, non-profit community web-site for $42.5 million. Why exactly is he doing that?
5. Is this money from the lawsuit ment to fund the show?
6. Jonathan Nolan is an ex-lawyer. A quick google search will explain why.
7. How do two unknowns suddenly have $100 million dollars backing?
8. With so much money backing the show, why use free email addresses and free website hosting? Where is the official site? Where are their real contact details?
9. Can they be believed when they say the show is not a hoax?
10. Why did Sunrise remove Jonathan Nolan's video from their webpage so quickly?

a site worth looking at I think, especially for anyone "chosen" lol

Less than five and a half hours, until the first contestants meet for some starrunning at Centennial Park in Sydney. Could be interesting to read their reports later.
