the revelation that an Obama administration staffer is advocating government-sponsored infiltration and disruption of groups of conspiracy theorists,

Who is Ellie Light ?

connect.cleveland.com...

connect.cleveland.com...

samanthapower.blogspot.com...

I believe Ellie Light is a journalist by the name of Samantha Power. The meaning of the name ellie is light. An Ellie is also a national magazine award which Ms. Power won in 2005 for a piece in New Yorker magazine, entitled Dying in Darfur.

She worked for then Senator Barack Obama and then on his presidential campaign before she was forced to resign for referring to Hillary Clinton as a monster.

While there, she met then later married Cass Sunstein who works in the Obama administration as Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs .

Wwhile at Harvard Law School, Sunstein co-wrote a truly pernicious paper proposing that the U.S. Government employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-"independent" advocates to "cognitively infiltrate" online groups and websites

Cass Sunstein's despicable ideas on regulating the internet

www.americanthinker.com...

I imagine that this forum is infiltrated,

Cass Sunstein, a Harvard Law professor who has been appointed to a shadowy post that will grant him powers that are merely mind-boggling, explicitly supports using the courts to impose a "chilling effect" on speech that might hurt someone's feelings. He thinks that the bloggers have been rampaging out of control and that new laws need to be written to corral them.

Advance copies of Sunstein's new book, "On Rumors: How Falsehoods Spread, Why We Believe Them, What Can Be Done," have gone out to reviewers ahead of its September publication date, but considering the prominence with which Sunstein is about to be endowed, his worrying views are fair game now. Sunstein is President Obama's choice to head the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs. It's the bland titles that should scare you the most.

In "On Rumors," Sunstein reviews how views get cemented in one camp even when people are presented with persuasive evidence to the contrary. He worries that we are headed for a future in which "people's beliefs are a product of social networks working as echo chambers in which false rumors spread like wildfire." That future, though, is already here, according to Sunstein. "We hardly need to imagine a world, however, in which people and institutions are being harmed by the rapid spread of damaging falsehoods via the Internet," he writes. "We live in that world. What might be done to reduce the harm?"

Sunstein's book is a blueprint for online censorship as he wants to hold blogs and web hosting services accountable for the remarks of commenters on websites while altering libel laws to make it easier to sue for spreading "rumors."

All I could say is, holy cow. This thing seems to be ramping out of control. I wonder if we'll see a similar Ellie here. Great find Stormdancer777. If they are reading this thread then I hope they will show us how false this is. I mean he is a Harvard graduate right? He certainly has more sense than this.

Exposed: The Secret Animal Rights Agenda Of America’s Next Regulatory Czar

Sunstein set out an ambitious plan to give animals the legal “right” to file lawsuits. We're not joking:

“[A]nimals should be permitted to bring suit, with human beings as their representatives, to prevent violations of current law … Any animals that are entitled to bring suit would be represented by (human) counsel, who would owe guardian like obligations and make decisions, subject to those obligations, on their clients’ behalf.”

“We ought to ban hunting, I suggest, if there isn’t a purpose other than sport and fun. That should be against the law. It’s time now.” Sunstein also argued in favor of “eliminating current practices such as greyhound racing, cosmetic testing, and meat eating, most controversially.”

Apparently it has gone viral, I am glad I ain't her, lol

No one knows who she is but I liked the first explanation the best.

At last count, her letter has appeared in at least 47 newspapers in at least 23 different states.

the states where her letters appear correspond quite well with the states that Obama won.

ok I have to admit something here. Frankly I dont give a squirt if the US pres is Chinese, Democrat, Socialist, or NAZI because it matters little who it is. The theories of every president are always the same. Could be Ronald Reagan, or Adolf Hitler EVERY PRESIDENT IS AFTER OUR RIGHTS< REPUTATIONS< FREEDOMES AND DEMOCRACY!!!! Clinton was supposedly trying to swindle the US out of Social Security. Bush... wel both of them, were guilty as HELL of mass murder, treason, crimes against humanity, high court purjury, and attempted genocide. Obama... well he's black.. ummm... so he... he CANT be american.. really..... AND HES DEMOCRAT!!!! THAT SOCIALIST!!!

whats next? is there a conspiracy that states we will be forced to work for nike to support the secret efforts of Chinas basket ball team? (while giving up our rights too)

Besides, Everyone knows sunstein is a nut job. Come on,, who can take seriously a guy that wants to give your dog the right to sue you? Do we really need to point that out? He's the equivalent of David Wilcock but instead of aliens, its control.. thats what he is the EVIL wilcock. His whole goal is to covertly undermine the US ballet team to train them as terrorist missiles, and to launch them to the sun to blow it up so the muslims cant find east anymore. Duh

If this bloke had his way, he would abolish death and write an executive order to resurrect Col. Sanders to arrest him for killing chickens. You really worry about what he wants to do with conspiracy theorists?

In regards to our government infiltration of ATS, this is A THREAT EVERYONE SHOULD TAKE SERIOUSLY. Our rights as U.S. Citizens are heading toward extinction as we speak unless we arm ourselves with awareness and use our information dependably. Qur votes only count if we make them and if they are informed choices. We need to show our strength and resolve. Be informed Vote and continue to blog. WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED. P.S. I am excited for the new 2010 format Kudos to Bill Irvine and everyone at ATS!!! A Nubie who likes this site.

ATS has become a right-wing blanket hate machine against Obama! WHY? All you guys show are photoshopped pix of Obama in a "russian military outfit" or baseless claims of his "un-American-ism" LOL ATS has done nothing but further ignorance and encouraged hate and intolerance! Here's some advice "Elephants are grey but not all grey things are elephants" Learn the meaning! I would like to see ONE SOLID PIECE OF EVIDENCE THAT OBAMA IS UNAMERICAN!

Could be wrong but it may be a result of the recent server change. Perhaps the original video was hosted by ATS on their previous server and since the move they decided to upload the video to another hosting site (Youtube) and link it back to this thread so the content is still available.

This thread may offer more information into this. LINK

What Scares the Government is that a lot of us have real telepathic abilities, and whether by accident or real intent on our part, we remote view and expose true Conspiracies. En-mass we can be real troublesome to their agendas

If they have their way they will end our think tanks

Us they truly Fear

Agreed. I use a .txt file to store all of my passwords. I've been on the Internet since it first went live for everyone to use, more than 20 years ago. The print out of that .txt file would be close to 30 or so pages. Some of the sites I signed up for don't even exist anymore. In other words, being forced to sign up for a website would be a big turn off to me. I'd rather explore it first and then if I'm interested in exploring it further then I'd sign up for it. So, a big no to the mandatory sign up. As an example I discovered a link to ATS and wondered what it was about. So I've flicked through this site for a couple of weeks now and I just signed up for it today since I find it interesting and will visit most days.

Ration? Theory can be proven fact.

Haven't been to the Death of Scalia thread in awhile... the pillow thing in the title though? Conflicting as the first one I read of witness account was he he looked peaceful laying there with a smile and hands across his chest with unwrinkled sheets with a paraphrased Scalia in the article.

Pillow? Not in that article and who the hell dies of a heart attack with a smile on their face?

The article also mentioned that the people throwing the hunting party tried time and time again to convenience Scalia to fly to Texas... why? So insistent unless the Obama appointment was planned?

So yeah... I can see why theorist that can prove later fact? Could be a potential threat... BUT to the agenda hidden. The mistake? Assuming the public reflects those seen on reality TV that would stand there looking like a deer in head lights and not have sense enough to move out of the way of the idiocracy claiming electrolytes have what plants crave. #podpeople
