Have you ever been there??? Do you personally know a single Haitian??? Get back to me when you can answer yes to either question... I can answer yes to both, and I know for certain that the diplomatic relationship between the US and Haiti is fragile at best...

I guess you didn't get the memo (or bother to do your own research), but the US was invited by the Haitian Government to do what it's doing...

So much for those 'invasion' accusations...

Disaster is one of America's best friend. Once a disaster occurs America having the biggest economy in the world can offer help but every bit of help comes with a catch. We just goto wait and see what the catch in regards to Haiti is.

Is the catch a permanent base? Or a complete regime change? Or maybe testing a whole new system? After all for one to test a new system, the country needs to be destroyed in to bits and rebuilt. And after all the American system is deemed to fail, 2 options, change or fall from its rank.

The 'catch' is that if we assist the Haitians in establishing a stable government and a stable economy, we won't have to spend millions of tax dollars every year trying to keep the illegal and dangerous flow of immigrants trying to reach US soil from succeeding.

So we are getting conspiracy theories about our government from a man who tore apart his countries constitution, implemented communism, destroys the rights of his citizens on a daily basis, and has an economy built on oil and drugs....You know what, he might be onto something. Sounds like Obama's role model. /smirk

But an earthquake machine...come on guys. Even we are above that. Tectonic plates don't move with sound waves.

If I'm not aware that we are talking about VZ, than your description perfectly fits Bushobama and US

Only "communism" statement is false both for US and VZ - believe me, I lived in "communist" country for 16 years. There was no communist society in modern history - only state capitalism called "real socialism".

edit to add main point: I think it is not possible to "create" earthquake from scratch. It is TOOO much energy. But what can be perfectly possible is to trigger earthquake by resonance. I think this is principle of Tesla "earthquake machine". It can be very useful because you can avoid major damage if you can plan tectonic plates tension release (this tension is the source of earthquake energy).

The term communist has been hijacked I understand that, your definition of state capitalism is brilliant. /thumbs up
As for the earthquake machine i forgot about the tesla oscillator. Nearly one hundred years later it certainly is possible. Most of my post was meant to bash Chavez. Don't like government especially the likes of him. Scares me how much the past two president's could have possibly been schooled with him. Thanks for the input on the oscillator.

Real socialism as "state capitalism" is not my definition - that is why it is brilliant
BTW it is nice coincidence - there is very good and fresh ATS post on theme: ATS. And all thread is worth of reading ...
I plan to start thread, where different aspects of left/right schema can be exposed. It will be based on different understanding of very common terms. For example the term "communism" have different meaning here, in CZ, different in France or Italy and much more different in USA. Same with terms like "right wing" or "conservative". I think that this babel is core of proposed European "anti-Americanism" - we just do not understand each other.

Here's a snapshot of what I posted on 1/13 just after the quake. Strange coincidence I suppose? I'm going to search for these "tweets" now, if that's possible. Amazing how everyone talks about twitter and I have no freakin idea what it is about...

Let's look at psychology for a minute...

A day after the quake, Chavez was complaining that he US gt there too fast.

No one paid him any mind.

A few days after, he complained that the US was blocking anyone else from helping.

No one paid him any attention.

Now he is claiming that the US caused it.

Now he's getting attention. At least on ATS.

anyone see a pattern here?

As for an invasion... It's not an invasion when the president of Haiti and the Ambassador BEG for US troops to help. Beg, not just ask. As for the UN's responsibility...

Well, has everyone just conveniently forgotten that the Un with help from haitian Police force (which is just more Minustah) have been systematically murdering all Haitians opposed to a new government? Haitians want Aristide back, Preval doesn't like that idea, and neither does the UN.

Most UN forces and Haitian police were killed or dispersed when the quake struck, the Haitians DO NOT want the UN controlling them, but they have had no choice. Now they have a choice. They seem to be welcoming the US, and in fact are suggesting they stay for a very long time.

If the US, as Chavez claims, set off a weapon that caused this to happen, it sort of backfired. The US is now pouring tons of money into rebuilding a country that they would have been handed gladly by the citizenry. This is nonsensical.

Add to that the fact that the best test location of a weapon of this magnitude might be...oh, I dunno, a country we are currently fighting? Would cost a lot less money.

As for the OP's article stating that there is a blockade from the thousands of evacuees trying to flee, especially to Florida- well f*ing duh! These are THOUSANDS of people, desperate, starving, and terrified. And mostly contagious with a number of diseases. This would not be a good thing to happen to the US right now.

I'm bit confused by your post. So US gov. want Aristide back in office? Why is response in foreign country faster then in New Orleans? I'm just confused.

You can do more damage to a country with wrong-headed political ideologies and lies than any earthquake could do. Just ask the people of Venezuela, those that aren’t afraid to speak against Chavez.

Read up on it...
I've been through the "Chunnel" many times and remember seeing it on the news frequently when they were constructing it. I've also lived both sides of it.

I consider it one of the little sidelines compared to what I mentioned earlier.

11 tunnel boring machines were involved in that construction....where are they now?

Wiki..Eurotunnel

[edit on 20/1/2010 by nerbot]

Ohh

Some of the boring machines they left buried under the middle of the tunnel and some broke. Not they couldn't fix them or build more.

I was just pointing out it would take billions and a very long time becuase of how long it took to complete the 30 miles of the Chunnel. It is also a few 100 miles from the Florida. You could be right though, US has a huge black budget.

Wow. I'm at a lost for words. I don't have the energy to debate today so I'll make this short.
I suppose all the geologists out there are also part of the plot for us evil Americans to take over that prime property? Haiti was warned a long time ago that the big one was coming. Just like they are warning those in California... ANY DAY PEOPLE, IT'S COMING.
www.miamiherald.com...
article.wn.com...

The US doesn't do enough...
The US is trying to take over the world...
Where's the US, we need help..... Same old crap.
This is getting old. All the hatred for the US is very saddening. I can't believe someone posted earlier that we should be nuked. You all hate us so much that you want to destroy all 300 million of us? Where will all these people we help every single freakin' year get food and money then? France?
, Russia?
or China?

But the geothermal projects mentioned in the link you provided are due to actually drilling into the Earth, no one was in Haiti drilling into the Earth.
Hi SF,
I had said on the HAARP thread that I didn't know if there was any drilling going on in Haiti when I posted the same link there at 18.03 yesterday. I thought it was you I was replying to, I see now it was another numbered member. The point of the link was to show that humans can induce Earthquakes, accidently or otherwise in this way. There are likely other ways.

Agreed!!! If any of you think Chavez is right and is a good guy, maybe you should look at pictures of Venezuela and study their crime rates since he became President... err.. I mean Dictator.

I posted this on the 2nd page, but just incase you missed it and are in love with Chavez here.
archithoughts.files.wordpress.com...

Those are shacks on top of shacks on top of shacks all the way up the hillsides. 70-80% of Venezuelans live in those slumps. What is Chavez doing about it besides spewing nonsense?

I found someone else who thinks Chavez is right...

Just a word of advice, I wouldn't go to the local asylum when searching for my next conspiracy theory... And Senor Chavez most definitely belongs in the asylum...

Sorry if this has already been pointed out, but the amazing thing is that Chavez has apparently lifted these charges extensively and practically word for word from the notorious internet conspiracy "theorist" Sorcha Faal.

Run this article through a translator if you don't speak Spanish:

www.abc.es...

Then compare to the Sorcha Faal article from the 14th:
