The thing is, this ineffectual Democrat Congress has been frantically ramrodding shoddy, half-baked, unconstitutional and positively socialist legislation into law in order to give "The First Black POTUS" some sort of legacy of "change"... Except it's not change, it's business as usual for the Lefty Libs in Congress.

That's why Obama's approval numbers are plummeting as fast as those of the Democrat-controlled Congress. The honeymoon is over, the groom has gonorrhea, and everyone is seeing this administration and Congress for what they are... Arrogant, lying thieves who are COMPLETELY out-of-touch with the will of the American People.

The Libs worked themselves into this position and they deserve what's coming to them.

Wake up and smell the coffee, Libs, because we're about to pour a whole steaming cupful on your balls in November.

Here is a perfect example of "Liberal"/leftists being loyal to ideals and not reality, and MORE significantly I might add, this is almost a religious devotion to certain ideals "it is foretold" etc

This is a small victory for conservatives.

However, the health care bill has been brought up many times over the years. This is not the last time a health care reform will be brought up. This is only first major time that something has been discussed. Most other industrialized nations in the world already have systems such as this one.

Health care is a human rights issue. Every human should have the right to the same medical treatments as the next. I have discussed this with a conservative friend of mine and just like every other human rights issue the battle has already been won; it's only a matter of time. America will have a nationalized health care system at some point in time. It's simply the right thing to do. Even if you do not support the issue everyone here knows deep down that it's going to happen. Just like gay couples will have the right to marry. It's only a matter of time. If you are fighting the cause then you a fighting a losing battle.

Not only is it a matter of time till these issues are passed into policy; at some point in time everybody who fought against them will be seen as intolerant. Mark my words I am telling you the truth. It may take years, but it's going to happen.

You may have won the battle but you have not won the war. This story has already been written.

You are obviously a kid or you would remember the major talks of it in the nineties followed by congress and senate being completely taken over by the conservatives in 94 and a return to Clinton as a moderate immediately following it. Healthcare is a human rights issue. My father in law goes to the E.R. almost once a month with no way to pay for it. The government (i.e. me,you) ends up picking up the tab. No one is denied healthcare in the U.S. Homeless end up in hospitals as well. It is not charity on behalf of the doctors it is taxpayer money that the government can barely pay right now. Health reform would be limiting the lawyers but dumb ol Palin with a University of Idaho degree doesn't have a chance, everyone wants Obama, with a law degree who will see to it that the lawyers don't end up on the losing end. It would also involve buying Insurance from a national pool instead of a state pool but lo and behold 50 bureaucrats might lose their jobs in the country (god forbid). Government can only hurt the healthcare system. These aren't talking points, these are realities. If they jam it through now then we are gonna end up with a republican majority followed by a minimum 12 years of republicans in the white house. I myself prefer lame ducks.

Just for the record, healthcare is not a right... That's laughable.

You have a right to open your mouth, and you have a right to remain silent, and you have a right to publish your opinions in the press, and you have a right to ride in the front of the bus... But you do not have a "right" to healthcare.

No. The only rights we have are Life, Liberty, Property, and the Pursuit of Happiness. That's it, and happiness is not a "right," either. Just the pursuit is your right.

These rights have been twisted and abused and mutilated beyond all recognition.

The greasy, stinking, self-serving socialist buzzards have been feasting on abortion and sloppy socialized healthcare for many long decades, protected by "women's right" and "patients' rights" and all of these other IMAGINARY rights, and you and your parents and your grandparents and their parents all grew up thinking that the "gubbermint" was here to babysit you and send you some government cheese or slip you a paycheck when you were out of work.

The Government was yer good old Uncle Sam. Yep.
Shucks, Uncle Sam'll take care of it, by cracky! Yup, that was Socialism.

That's what the mid-to-latter 20th Century was all about, people... Socialism infesting the USA, producing these masses of welfare-dependents, social security dependents, all sorts of students and bankers and leaders of industry getting cuddly (and dependent) on the socialist gubbermint.

How has that sh#t worked out, by the way?

I mean, let's just step back and take a look...

Goddamn. That looks AWFUL...

Why, the United States coming out of the 20th Century looks like a can of smashed asshøles, it's hauling so much debt, and paying out to so many no-good bums and third-worlders, it's amazing the country can even walk. It's bleeding money!

Damn. If this country was patched up and we cleaned out all that festering goo in its heart and shîtcanned ALL of the the socialists initiatives that the Liberals are trying to ramrod through Congress, we MIGHT just SAVE America.

But you're not going to do it by thinking that you're entitled to healthcare.

Healthcare is NOT your RIGHT. Your imaginary, liberal "rights" are killing the country.

You're sweet.

Actually, my mom is from Fall River, Massachusetts. I've always wanted to go up there to visit, but I could never tolerate the stench of sewage, booze and brimstone wafting along the coast around Hyannis Port.

How long has it been? About half a year since Kennedy died? Think I'll wait through a couple more storm seasons before I try going to Mass. You know, let the natural processes purify the area for year or so.

Well that was said with panache and eloquence.

Hey Doc, do I have the right to someone else's job?

How about his house, car, land, life, body parts, labor?

Of course this is rhetorical.

You unknowledgeable(ignorant) people have to wake up and smell the slavery. What was the rule like back in the day of Pharoah? You had God Emporer class, their military and acolytes. Does this sound familiar to you ignorant people?

One day soon, it will be decided by the ruling class that everything will be owned by the elite. You, by their graces, are allowed to live. By their graces alone.

Do you understand that? When they need your heart to survive, the person that matches their DNA makeup, goes to the hospital, not to return.

What is better than for the greater good?

People here are really beginning to **** me off. You do not have the right to anyone else's labor. This is leading us to the end.

Rant complete, thanks Doc for getting me to unload; AGAIN!

Just for the record, healthcare is not a right... That's laughable.

Why? Why is healthcare not a right, we do have the right to life? Does that not imply that we have a right to as long of a life that is possible? Does our government not only have the obligation to the life of it's citizens but to promote the general Welfare of its people?

Should the poor die due to lack of access to quality healthcare? Why? Do the poor somehow have less of a right to life and the government have less of an obligation to the general welfare of them than to those that can afford quality healthcare?

I personally have been on both sides of the fence of healthcare, I have had quality healthcare insurance, and I have done without, it's amazing the difference in treatment in a hospital when the doctor knows you have health insurance and when you don't.

This current healthcare bill is garbage, I will concede that point. I won't argue that this bill is complete and total crap. But other civilized nations have universal healthcare, but what they have is better than what we have. The USA is 37th in rank of quality of healthcare. Is that right? Why should the wealthiest nation on Earth rank 37th in healthcare?

The priorities of this country need to change. Our people should be #1 on our list, our #2 priority should be our economy.

Our country has descended into madness. Electing a Republican won't bring sanity to this country, Electing a Democrat won't bring sanity to this country, the only thing that is going to bring sanity to this country again is to elect real people with real ideas. This government is out of control. The only way to get it under control is to stop electing these people who don't care, don't respect the people, and only work for the special interests. Special interest groups don't have the people in mind, they only have their own interests. If your representative is listening to special interest groups instead of you then they are not your representative are they?

If you aren't being represented in government, than why are you paying taxes? Who is representing you in our government if the representatives ignore what you really want?

The Declaration of Independence states that we have the rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness, it does not state that we have those rights only if we can afford it.

We have to work together, don't we?

Hell yes End, I especially like the SCOTUS ruling
not very in line with what you seem to think my friend...

Anyhow this next decade will see a 150% + increase in healthcare premiums and if people want access they will have to sign off on their labor, willfully, fook off or move.

This SCOTUS is the front door approach, there's money to be earned and I just woke up and smelled some real deal old school slavery. TPTB are gonna have a right to your labor now, directly and legally employing the politicians, but least it ain't some lazy POS with a bad Pancreas.

I'm gonna buy an umbrella now, make sure all those coins trickling on my head don't bury me in prosperity.

This senator won this chair just because of the Health Care Bill and not maybe because people saw on him better competencies than in the Dem candidate?

That must be a shame for him.

this means he won just because he's Rep and nothing more...whatta loser, even when he won.

Well we just went from socialism and jumped firmly into fascism- It does not make me very excited to the prospects of life, games changed, get a job, produce some lead toys and buy a politician or 100 with a personalized check, Garfield maybe.

All the hubbub about socialism and the kill shot came from the otherside, rather ironic.

You shall see friend, your gonna have to check your notions at the door in the coming years, cause its gonna look like what you guys want, ain't no lazy Americans getting nothing, but its gonna smell and taste like Huxley, Rand and Orwell had an Orgy of the minds.

I don't have much faith in Doc, but I reckon you are not gone, gonna have to chose between your PEOPLE and your ideas in a tangible way. I may be full of it half the time, but I am really good at smelling the wind. Your elation will fail you in years time once the true stench of this momentous day smacks your sniffer.

Sorry for us all, enjoy the cocktail shrimp

with respect

Very well said Janky.

You know I would enjoy a REAL leftist Utopia.

That cannot happen and will not happen. The corrupt are too powerfully entrenched.

Even the great experiment of the US, has come to corruption and decay.

I still go back to the collectivism vs individualism argument. Their can be no collectivism that is fair and balanced til we reach a higher level of knowledge or being.

That is why I have to stick with my individualism philosophy until the Animals in power can be removed or contained.

Always love your viewpoint.

Well I believe we are both, I can make a dime without myself and the people who are buying or selling. If you look real hard there is collectivism outside the fed, sanctioned and legal, private and interconnected. Gonna be hard to defend any island if it is you
versus a machine the can outspend you, out man you and out lawyer you. Things bend both ways, fire and ice can kill you just as thoroughly-

If you want the real truth about this world look the opposite direction in which you look and you will see a whole other world, just as grand, tricky, corrupt and dysfunctional. I have done this, it is a very hard threshold to cross, twice the crap... But, it applies to everything, there is much to see and relearn.

War is not well waged by an free roaming association of individuals, with the same numbers a tight knit group can easily overtake a larger force of such.

Concentrated we are not, if we cannot share our prosperity we will share our demise. I hope the isolated joy of individualism is greater than the joy of sanctioned subjugation.

While we settle into our bunkers, the concentrated and collective forces of capital will prey upon each bunker at a time.

Government and its essence was a least intended to be our recourse and instrument,
WE THE PEOPLE - we should change it to "WE THE PEOPLE WHO CAN PURCHASE POLICY
UNFETTERED"

A brave new world friend

I can see what you are saying. Individualism per se is the perception of freewill and the rights garnered as an individual.

To join together does not mean you must forego individualism, it means you band as brothers in common cause.

To this end, we must band together both as conservatives and liberals to destroy the despotism in our midst.

For the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

We can worry later about how we are going to approach life as soon as we destroy the viper in our midst.
