How many democratic representatives and senators are "choosing not to run" in 2010? How many, in your respective states, are choosing not to run, or are basically unelectable?
Vic Snyder (D) of the 5th District of Arkansas has announced that he will not seek re-election. This man is an MD who should have great influence on the reconcilation of the healthcare bill.
In my personal opinion, Marion Berry, of the 1st district, is essentially unelectable, due to his stand on health care, and his statements bragging on standing by his wife, who has breast cancer, while he is also supporting a mistress. Lot of folks in Arkansas won't tolerate that. We feel if you'll cheat on your wife, then you'll cheat on anything. In other words, you can't be trusted.
Most of us feel Blanche Lincoln is out! We just have to thin out the Republican field in the primaries.
Now, I know that a lot of members are going to say we have no difference between the two parties. If that is your only arguement, go away. You have nothing new to offer.
The Tea Party movement, which consist of Independents, Democrats, Republicans, Liberatarians, Greenies, and just about every small party in this country, are making a difference.
So tell us. What's happening in your state? Why do you thing there is a change(or no change) What are your predictions for 2010?
And remember, if you are one of those who think things will never change, then go away. We are looking for possibilities and probabilities to make a real, positive differenced.

More republicans than democrats are retiring this year, but the corporate mainstream media isn't spilling the beans. Look it up, more republican congress members AND senators have announce their respective intention to retire.

If you think that any progressives, such as the 'greenies,' as you call them are part of the tea-bag movement, you are seriously misguided. The truly informed tea-party libertarian types are increasingly embarrassed by their ignorant, often racist, poorly educated cousins, the tea-baggers. The Republican party, the main political wing of the powers that be, both hijacked and undermined the teabag movement. It just isn't consistent to yell about 'freedom' this and 'freedom' that, yet basically be a staunch supporter of corporatism.

Sorry, but you best go back and recheck your figures. Democrats are bowing out by the numbers. In addition, their gaffes are being made public(Nancy Pelosi's $18,000 office space in San Fran, for example) that they don''t have a snowball's chance in hell of winning.
