GOP strategy notes

(1) Take an initiative/bill that genuinely reforms the healthcare industry which everyone agrees is in dire need of reform ...and oppose it, scream about death panels, microchips and Barack Obama himself running around pulling peoples plugs...fear monger, BS ...anything that works..

(2) Mutilate the bill as much as possible demanding concessions to the Pharmaceutical/Insurance and healthcare industry. Tell the Democrats that is all you want...just a few more concessions.

(3) Once those concessions are granted and it looks like you have gotten everything you will get, declare the bill a mess and return to (1) Oppose/scream/rant...look what a mess the bill is with all of these concessions to Insurance companies yada yada?

Outcome of strategy if successful...bill killed...business as usual...general public suffers...rich get richer.

This bill is a lemon...but to a starving man a lemon is a meal. The bill will pass and the public will get a taste of it and demand corrections/improvements/expansion where neccessary.

The GOP will be shocked at how the public will hold them accountable for trying to kill healthcare reform all in the name of spite and playground politics.

Oh my God, will you stop!

You are just hilarious. The Dems wrote the bill, worked on it, would not let the Repubs touch it or even discuss it.

But its the Repubs fault!

You cannot even admit your exalted Dems are corporatists.

Welcome to the real world, maybe once you realize these above given FACTS, you might be able to face yourself in the mirror.

edit to add- I suppose the bribery of Senators and Representatives is the Repubs fault. How about the back door deal with the unions? Repubs?

Jeeeeeeeeeeezz.

Yes, I agree the bill is complete crap..without a doubt...but people dont even know why they are against it. There are so many lies being thrown out there that most people who just lightly watch the news have no idea what is really happening.

I agree on the point that this is more about the lobbyists for big pharma and insurance getting their monies worth. However, I must disagree with your last statement. I think that the people who just lightly watch the news probably have a more solid grasp on what is really going on that those that watch it heavily. The MSM is a HUGE propaganda tool being used by all sides of politics to get what they want.

Obama health care should be defeated utterly and thoroughly.

Not because Health Care is not a good idea. It is infact a very noble idea that would save many lives. It is a fundamental right for every member of society, that should he/she fall ill, be treated and for free so that they may regain their productive lives and loves.

Who pays for such treatment? This question would be a difficult issue to answer, if that society were to live in a resourceless piece of ground. Each will have to contribute towards a common pool for the sake of others.

However, US is one of the richest resource land in the world. Revenues from such resources would have been enough to fund any social healthcare plans. To ask that society members contribute is criminally profiteering on an excessive and destablising side!

Why waste trillions on defeatist wars instead on domestic spending? What had giving financial aid to other nations benefitted americans? These and many more questions have to be answered by elected representatives that seek to support Obamacare.

Secondly, why had medical care shoot through the roof that even middle classes have to be bankrupted overnight to pay for it? Big Pharma claimed that the rise in costs was to recover research funds.

BUT the fact is, wasnt research funds given by govts and charitable organisations? Did the govt and charity foundations asked for money back? If not, then where does the profits from the high cost of medical care go to????

Again, the elected representatives and President Obama had FAILED to address such issues. Therefore, with conscience, Obamacare must be defeated till satisfactory replies are given. In the meantime, critical healthcare funding must come from govt revenues, a basic right to help human lives ( not for cosmetics form of surgery)

Throw the 2,000 page monster into a wheel barrel.
Push it to the nearest fireplace and burn it.

Congratulations... the greedy rich insurance companies, notorious for allowing people to die, have talked you, the poor and needy, into saying no to affordable healthcare. They have manipulated you with fear... because you are so easily manipulated by fear. And so you will continue to be denied coverage by these companies and you, the poor fearful masses, will die... not by Obama's death panels... but by the insurance companies who refuse to cover you.

The dems that actually have a brain are calling for the destruction of the monster they have created.

Guess what else they are now saying?

Exactly what the Repubs have been saying all along, work together to do the steps the Repubs have put forth.

They still do not like the tort reform though, I wonder why that is?
