For some strange reason there is alot of debate over this topic, for a long time too.

Even americans are unhappy for some odd reason that India is requesting exemption.

I don't get what the problem is, is money of not legal tender?
It's a barter system, how can you force someone to pay SS but then refuse them benefits?

Isn't it not really a tax but rather a health investment?
How come you contribute to a health investment but get none of it in return????

This is not about indians not wanting to pay taxes, they pay all the taxes that everyone else pays.

I think this comes from people not undertanding what the SS is all about.
