You said that all very nicely!

My take on it is that people are going to have to choose between what the Bible says,or what the "Ascended Masters" have to say.

"As for me and my house,we shall serve the Lord."

You were talking about the "Day of Declaration" earlier. Can you tell us more about that, please?

Well, if what you say is true, then what's wrong with that?

My delimna is that so many people think he is evil, that I never really get a chance to hear the man out. They let him talk 10-15 minutes and cut his mike off. I never understand why. I looked up some of his videos on youtube, but he doesn't really say anything that's bad...or anything that is concrete, IE, like this is who he is, this is exactly what he teaches... either.

There's been myriad teachers that have taught us not to be so materialistic and to love one another. What makes anyone think we are going to listen to a new one?

Both Mathieu Gasc's post, and your reply came across very well. As a fellow Christian, I agree with what you've said. But both yours and Mathieu's comments are respectful, yet clearly defined.

But I often wonder, do new age believers see free will as an important quality which must be defended, like in the same way God intended, and the Bible explains? I admit, some Christians have ignored God's intentions, and have not respected the importance of allowing free will. But according to the Bible, God intends for every individual to find Him with their own heart. Do those who reject the Bible still see the importance in freedom of choice.

Or to put it a different way, I would reject any organized religion which refused to allow others to practice their religion as they pleased. If my religion was intolerant or disrespectful towards other religions, I would see this as wrong. The Bible says that this is wrong.

But if those who choose to believe that the "Ascended Masters" are correct were to see one day that those who didn't join their religion were being imprisoned or killed, would they see this as something horribly wrong? Even if they were certain that their religion is correct? Even if the religious leaders told them it's OK?

I had a quick glance at your second thread and I'll continue to read it but there's just one thing that I want to ask you. You, like many others mention that Share International is directly linked to the U.N. I've read this many times and I've looked into it myself but I have never found any evidence that it's true. The only thing that I've ever found is speculation.

Share International mention the U.N once or twice on their website but I've never seen them say that they are linked in anyway. Only that the U.N will "help implement the idea of sharing"

I see no direct links between the two. I remember reading something about the U.N sponsoring their newsletter but that proves absolutely nothing at all. If you've got poof of a deeper relationship between the two parties then I'd love to see it.

Thanks.

EDIT: I was under the impression that you were the OP of the second thread. I now realise that you're not but I'd still be interested in seeing any concrete proof that the U.N are working with SI on any level other than sponsoring their news letter.

Hello, you have inquired upon the relationship between Share International and the United Nations. I used to have a picture showing the inside of a Share International pamphlet/magazine, where it directly states that Share International was an NGO of the UN.

For some reason I can't find it now, and it is very frustrating to me. I am sure that I have kept it somewhere. Let me see if I can find.... I will post it here or pm you

All I can offer right now is these quotes:

Maitreya and his group of spiritual co-workers have designed a plan that is brilliant in its simplicity and insight. They visualize a world organization, administered by the United Nations, which will completely restructure our economic systems.

www.shareintl.org...

This is an abridged, electronic version of SHARE INTERNATIONAL
magazine.

The magazine has a non-paid staff only, carries no
advertisements and is published by SHARE INTERNATIONAL
FOUNDATION, a non-profit, non-governmental organization in
association with the Department of Public Information at the
United Nations.

groups.google.com...

A different copy of Share International magazine can be found here, which states the same thing:

OK so this is what I've come up with. Share International was a UN NGO until 2004:

www.unis.unvienna.org...

The interesting thing is that almost all evidence of Share International having been an NGO has been erased from the web, including the picture that I spoke of. It was found fairly easily just about a year ago..

Nonetheless, share international is closely associated with Lucis Trust, which has been an NGO since the beginning, and still is an NGO.

Yes,you raised a good question! What about those who don't share their desire to "evolve to a higher consciousness"?

Obviously,Christianity would be too "divisive" for their plan for "global unity".

This Maitreya guy supposedly "appeared" to a crowd in Nairobi in the 80s,then swiftly dissapeared again...There is even a photo:

www.share-international.org...

So thats what he looks like then...oh but wait,he may shapeshift into another form...Riiiight.

On 12 December 2008 Share International Foundation announced that a large, bright ‘star’-like object would soon be seen in the sky. It is a sign heralding the imminent appearance of Maitreya, the World Teacher, on His first television interview, which will take place in the USA. The ‘star’ is really one of four enormous spacecraft placed around the world. Since December 2008 numerous sightings of the ‘star’ have been reported on YouTube and television news programmes. Share International magazine has received hundreds of photographs showing the ‘star’ in a variety of stunning colours and shapes.
The huge spiral manifestation over Norway is an extension of the work of these spacecraft and is irrefutable evidence of their reality. Our information is that further such manifestations are planned for the near future.

There you have it...Benjamin "Yoda boy" Creme and his group of new agers are nutbag crazy IMO...

And so are anyone else who believe that we need some kind of super human "ascended" being to tell us how to live, advance and learn.
Waiting for such a figure is futile IMO,as the capacity to change for the better is within us all now-we do not need some apparition to teach us.

The garbage they spout concerning the Norway spiral is first class poppycock, and sounds like the dreaded "project bluebeam."

The TV interview will not materialise I bet,and Creme will still be going on about this in years to come.

I just do not buy this whole deal, and I await the day when I am proved wrong.

"Creme has made a number of predictions and announcement for the imminent appearance of Maitreya based on his claims of receiving telepathic messages. These have failed to come true, leading to him being considered a figure of amusement in the press..."

"1982 and 1997 failed television broadcasts from Christ
In the spring of 1982 Creme placed advertisements in newspapers around the world saying, "The Christ is now here". According to Creme the "Christ", whom he also called "Maitreya", would announce his existence on world wide television broadcasts, and that he would do that on Monday, 21 June 1982. This created a sensation within some New Age groups, and even among some Evangelical Christians; but, when the promised television broadcasts of the Maitreya/Christ failed to occur, most of Creme's followers lost interest. This, he said, was because Maitreya had seen the time was not right for his general acceptance, at the level necessary, for his work to be successful. Creme, who claims that time is now very near for Maitreya's emergence, is independently wealthy and continues to fund newspaper advertisements and press conferences, as well as to fund his journal and websites.[13][14]

Creme stated that when the "Day of Declaration" occurs, "The Christ will come on the world's television channels, linked together by satellite. All those with access to television will see... [His face]. He will establish a telepathic rapport with all humanity simultaneously".[15] While the Christ is speaking... [everyone will feel far more love than they've ever felt before, that massive outpouring of love will cause] hundreds of thousands of 'miracle' cures will take place simultaneously."

In 1997 Creme made similar predictions that Maitreya would appear on television and be interviewed around the world. This time there was far less media interest"

This is from wikipedia on Benjamin Creme.

He sounds crazy.

The share website claims that when Creme speaks,he is "overshadowed" by Maitraya. They have photos which they claim support this theory:

Amazing huh?
There was me thinking they were just examples of "motion blur,"but no-apparently its Maitraya occupying the same space as Creme.

I reckon this whole thing is a fairy tale for hippies.
