Every now and then, randomly, I come across a page or site that makes me scratch my head.
Now Im not making fun of anyone, or what they believe. But I do find a few claims in this massively large article, a little silly. But if you believe in dragons...not dinosaurs, but dragons...then I wish you all of the happiness in the world.

So keep that In mind, as I present this to you.

Do dragons exist?

Do dragons still exist?

Even today there are so many first hand witness reports from reliable people who have seen and even photographed monsters, giant serpents and sea- and land dragons—as you will see in the following pages— that you wonder how we ever developed such itchy ears and how the mercantile mass media ever got us so conditioned to immediately doubt reports of dragons, like the Chinese traditions and Western historic accounts like St. George and the Dragon, the French Farmer from the 1500-s, or the Norwegian that defeated a dragon that attacked his village and mangled many of his fellow villagers?

In what may be the longest sentence on the planet, we are asked how we feel about the truth about dragons. Not that they are mythical, but they are real?

The author of the page seems to bounce back and forth, between "dragons vs. myth" and "science is lying to you" themes.

But there is some interesting stuff here.

Please, I encourage you to read the whole(or as much as you can take) page, and there are some really great photos-like the one of the hunters and the Pterodactyl.
Full article here:Dragons and stuff
I also like the "carcass" photos. They could be anything, I guess.

Lets suspend our disbelief for a second. Lets say that evolution is a lie. Lets say God made us. Why did he make these creatures?

Anyways, fellow ATS'ers...have fun with this..

It is a very interesting discussion that is for sure.

But even the website you linked says this.

""ARE DRAGONS (Dinosaurs) EXTINCT OR STILL ALIVE TODAY?""

This IMHO is a unfair tactic to just gain attention.

Calling them "Dragons" when in fact, it is clearly admitted we are discussing DINOSAURS.

Of course, I whole heartedly believe that all stories of "Dragons" eminate from encounters with leftover dinosaurs for the most part. However, this does not prevent me from thinking that the tactics used by the writer are slightly unfair because they give off the wrong impression.

Its like using sensationalist terms in order to generate hype and interest for something totally mundane.

Its just not fair, and I consider it sneaky.

Did you pick up a touch of anger in the author's writings?

Like someone urinated in his breakfast cereal.

Science? WRONG
Darwin? WRONG
The media? WRONG
Fossils? FAKE

Dragons? YES
God? YES

On most of the dragon reportings, I do believe that it was because individuals caught a glimpse or interaction with a few left over relicts from the dinosaur age but more closely large lizards from the Megafuna age (you have to take into account the Megafauna animals where larger animals that we see today and also animals that went extinct or we haven't seen yet in fossils).

Left over dinosaurs? From 65 million years ago!? Think about this logically, if there was significant breeding stock for the dinosaurs to survive a mass extinction which would have left them without any source of food and water for years, why don't we know about them? Surely they would be everywhere. Just my tuppence. Also I find it amazing that so many widely seperated cultures came up with a beast with similar properties.

I think it's more likely that people who ran across dinosaur skeletons before we knew about the existence of dinosaurs probably conjured up the idea that they were dragons. That seems like a logical explanation.

Perhaps a farmer plowing a his fields 1000 or more years ago may have dug up a T-Rex fossil, and imagined it being a dragon.

Even an scientifically-minded person like Galileo or da Vinci may have conjured up the idea of dragons if they ever came across a large dinosaur fossil.

I remember seeing a show on either the discovery, learning or history channel where they did an autopsy of a possible dragon corpse that had been frozen in ice. It seemed pretty authentic to me. It was a few years back. They explained how it was able to produce fire breath and every thing. Any one know if this show was real or just a "what if" show? It seemed to be legitimate.

And seriously, what good would that do? What we know is only as good as our latest find. Archeologists often make discoveries that require us to relook at everything we once believed to be true.
I am asking about the legitimacy of a program that promoted its self as the absolute truth on a respectable station. Science does get things wrong once in awhile. Remember the brontosaurus? And people still think it truly existed.

It was on The Discovery Channel and Animal Planet here in the United States and was called Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real. The U.S. version was narrated by Patrick Stewart (Ian Holm narrated the British release).

HOWEVER, it was a "docu-drama" -- i.e., it was all hypothetical. It was done like a "real" documentary, but everything was fictitious. It was a documentary that pre-supposed "what if" dragons were real, then went on to describe scientifically how a dragon might have lived, as if it were a real documentary.

The autopsy of the dragon frozen in ice was meant to look real, but it was all hypothetical (and fictitious).

Here are links to that TV show:

Dragons have existed a few thousand years ago, they were loving beings
who's job it was to heal the planet. However, they were mercilessly and
systematically hunted down, I don't think any of them are left. many of
these magical creatures have existed physically on Earth.. some magical
creatures still exist, although they are not considered magical. Especially
dolphins are very special, they are very powerful healers, and their sonar
and energy is still powerful enough to heal. The only reason the last of
the remaining magical creatures, such as dolphins and a few others, still
exist, is because back then the ruling elite did not have the technology
to hunt them down in the oceans. However, the massacre has continued
now, and new technologies are being used to slaughter all the dolphins
and whales, both creatures who's job it is to heal the planet and lift the
dark energies that still grip the Earth.

Many magical creatures we were taught were just fairy tales, have actually
existed. Mermaids for example, I know there was a race of mermaids, tho
they were called differently, who used water, crystals and shells to heal..
and many other magical creatures, who are often depicted as monsters in
stories, but who were actually Light Healers, have existed physically. All
these stories of noble warriors and knights who adventured out to kill these
horrible monsters, are actually stories of how darkness has systematically
slaughtered all the magical creatures of Light, love and healing, that have
roamed the Earth during more magical times.

A story of a knight slaying a hideous dragon, is actually a story of an evil
warrior slaying a loving Dragon of Light, to prevent him from healing others
and from healing the planet. Many of these wonderful Light creatures have
been depicted as monsters in our stories and fairy tales.

It even starts at the beginning of the invasion of darkness of our planet..
In stories and legends, Zeus and the Olympic gods are depicted as heroes
and noble warriors, who went and fought the evil Titans. But in reality, the
Titans were noble Light beings, who were slaughtered by the invading
forces of Zeus, Hades, Poseidon, Hera and others.. if you're wondering from
where these dark beings come.. they come from the Pleiades star systems.
Just like many information we see on the internet is false, so is the info we
are fed about the Pleiades, because the Pleiades is the home of the dark
forces that invaded the Earth, and still hold it in its grip, since 89.000 years.

Luckily their grip has been broken, and within 100 years there won't be a
single dark soul left on Earth, because since a few years they have been
prevented from incarnating on Earth. All babies and animals born since a
few years, are Light.

Wait, let me guess, you're a dragon reincarnated, or you're an alien reincarnated, or you're channeling aliens or dragons, right?

Dragons have been appearing in tales and myths for thousands of years throughout cultures worldwide, on all continents. Here's an overview
It's at least remarkable how it's always been a part of our common human knowledge...

I personally don't believe in Dragons, but then again I don't not believe in them. I don't know if I'm making any sense here, so let me explain: It has been said already that many, many cultures, cultures that had never even interacted (to my knowledge anyway) with eachother, all drempt up the same thing: Dragons- or they came up with a similar image of a monstrous creature that breathes fire.

Does this not mean that something is buried deep within our psychological makeup as a species? I propose this: As living creatures, we share life with all other living creatures. In some cases the only thing we may have in common with something is that we are both alive. Therefore it is possible, though probably not probable, that that which animates our species, and that which animates, um, crustaceans(?), is exactly the same thing.

I personally would not call it God, but Life. Anyway, aside from the magestical everything is wonderful rubbish that I have been involuntarily spouting for the last hundred words or so, what if the memories of all living things that are now dead have been passed on to us through life transfering from the dead, to the newly living? and it is all in our subconscious? So, when we all thought up dragons all those years ago, what happened was an imprint of creatures that existed either before us on this planet, or on another, had surfaced in our minds.

Well anyway it was just a thought, one that could have been written better, but not by me because I don't quite understand what I'm talking about anyway. Thankyou
