If you were balanced and intellectually honest, you could admit that the financial problems we got into have been building for over 3 decades, and are the result of both Democrats and Republicans. This has been building for a long time and was warned about by many. There is plenty of blame to go around. If you sincerely think that Democrats bear no blame and are the solution to these problems, that is fine. Although, if that is the case, can you please describe why this was all Republicans fault, and why Democrats are the answer?

Last time I checked, both parties stink. All I want is for NEITHER party to have the 60-vote majority so that perhaps actual VOTING can take place. You know.....like a democracy.

Further, I hate to be the one to tell you this, but we are primarily a two-party system. Do I want that to change? Hell yeah! But I am not waiting for it to change to end what is going on in the White House now. Further, if the votes get split Republican / Independent, we will end up with another Democrat and still they will have 60-vote majority.

Why stop there?
Obama should exempt the unions from ALL taxes.
No Federal Taxes. No State Taxes. No Property Taxes.
Give them a "Free Ride" until he is thrown out of office for
being incompetent.

Thats actually not a bad concept....... Unions are willfully screwing over the rest of Americans. Do they deserve our fiscal support?

Just a thought.......isn't bribery an impeachable offense. Could this not be the beginning of the grounds for such a vote?

Yes. Although legally speaking it would be tough to prove this is bribery and not just different provision of a piece of legislation. To you, myself, and most Americans, we know this for what it is. Bribery. Problem is, it has been going on so long in Washington DC that its normalized. I would say that the deals given in this healthcare bill to Louisiana, Ben Nelson, Unions, etc, are the worst forms of political bribery I have ever seen in DC. Obama promised an end to this stuff and ended up being the worst offender.

The problem all started with the passage of the 16th Amendment:

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

If the Congress were required to levy and apportion taxes equally...well, I leave the rest to you, the reader. I will add, however, that the 16th Amendment was ratified in early 1913, while the Federal Reserve Act was signed in December of that same year.

Just sayin'...

I'm a union electrician and while I don't believe what Obama and the union reps did. All I hope is that when it comes time for my next raise I don't get screwed when they say they need more money for healthcare then they claimed.

Also I'm in a union in the mid-atlantic and I can tell not many of us have any love of voted for obama so before anyone says all union members back Obama is bull

More incentive for workers to unionize. All workers should be unionized anyway I don't see the problem here.

What ever the cost. What ever the party. What ever the ethics. What ever the truth...... The democrats must win.

To see these socialistic reformists make the broad and ugly strokes of a deranged painter who in their own minds, want to paint over and create a utopia by masking truth and individuals as an imperfection on their canvas, of which our lives are woven into as a nation. It is worth it, just so they may win.......

The revolution will be borne from the actions of sleeze like these.

BTW, the Repubs are no better and have failed the conservative base also.

I wish the 'staring at goats' effect is real .... I would consider a few targets ....
but there is something to Karma that I don't want to mess around with it, yet.

Another example of Obama stealing from the American people to pay back his campaign debts. He is re-paying the unions for helping him to get elected.

And it is theft, plain and simple. He has no Constitutional basis, no legal right, to treat one group better than others.

He has no right to force you to buy health insurance to begin with. The federal goverment has no right to force you to buy anything. No legal right.

So, he goes in a room with the unions, locks the door behind him (you aren't allowed in), and dishes out $60billion of our money to the unions. When they emerge, smiling and laughing, from the room, they won't even look you in the eye. They just blow off your questions as they belly up to the bar. They don't need to talk to you because you're just a chump. A nobody. And you can't do anything about what he just did.

Joe Biden was in La. today. Guess what he was doing?

Vice President Joe Biden's official agenda is the target of a Los Angeles Times article by Andrew Malcolm poking fun at the irony of the situation. It reads: "Today's Biden schedule highlight is a meeting with the chief of transparency for economic recovery. But, unfortunately, the transparency meeting is non-transparent — closed to the press — Which makes it — what? — Secret openness? Open secrecy?"

How's that hope and change working out for you?

And where are the Obama supporters?

Now do to reconcillition, they only need 51 votes vs. 60. Not only that, they've been planning on having to use it. Yup change.......at least he's a one term president, if he finishes this one in office. At this rate impeachment surely will come into play at some point......he makes Clinton look honest at this point.

LOL, thats funny. I am sure there are a lot of Union member tonight that are fiscally happy they are in a Union, but also ashamed.

Very amusing since Unions are supposed to look out for parity and safety of workers. Theoretically, I would argue that a Union that is ethical wouldn't screw over other workers on purpose.

2 things...

1.) Apparently all men are NOT created equal and are thusly afforded EQUAL PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW!

2.) Reminds me a bit of the fascists in Nazi Germany leading up to WWII.

Not only is this illegal, as were the bribes presented to Senators for their vote in favor of "reform", this is morally REPUGNANT!
I can literally feel the Tree of Liberty dying of thirst!

We shouldnt be surprised at this everyone, the AFL-CIO gave Obama millions for his campaign, of course he'll give them a slide on this new tax. Also be looking for exemptions for members of congress, their families, friends, staff, their families, friends, and probably all the illegals that are here and their families.

My oldest daughter is happy. I guess that's good, eh?

I'm not at all surprised by this development, though, concerning the exemptions. It's all standard operating procedures.

Did anybody expect it NOT to be business as usual in D.C.?
