Intro and a question

Hi everyone, decided to join after a few weeks of lurking.

My main interests are more science related than conspiratorial/UFO/NWO type stuff. I enjoy reading about, and discussing existential threats that humanity could face in the future e.g. impact events, disease, natural disasters, AI etc. Cryptozoology is a fun subject as well, even though I am skeptical about most of the subject matter

As to my question, I was on the website the other day and the Antivirus virus tried to install itself on my computer. It didn't infect my system since i run my browser sandboxed but still...

Is this a common problem? I never get malware/viruses so it concerns me, plus some googling brought up other people who had the same problem with this site. Just curious.

I've been here a while now and everything has been ok.

If do a search for malware/viruses on ATS topics, you will get more info I'm sure.

And whilst I'm here may I welcome you to ATS and say that I hope you enjoy the time you spend here.
