Wow! There's really nothing I can add to the excellent replies on this groundbreaking thread. Great job, PT and everyone! Just wanted to include myself among the anti-"crippled epistimology" group. Truth will out. The Force (momentum) is with us. The disinfo Borg are obviously getting more nervous.

Welcome aboard, you know this could backfire on the government really big since they are calling us crippled...

We should qualify for Government Disability! Yeah!

We can all sit home all day on the Government Dime now and get paid to be the info-agents fighting their paid disinformation agents!

So in other words, He wants to shut people up. If you don't agree with the government version of things you will be sued. This guy is a danger to our freedom and liberty and I am appalled that he is anywhere the White House.

Really a guy with this kind of initiative should be working for the U.N.!

Chances are he is a member of the Council for Foreign Relations. This is just the kind of person they love to promote into the White House and policy making decisions.

Guys like this remind me of the first Mummy Movie where the girl pilfers the Book of the Dead from the Egyptian Archeologist who is sleeping with it cradled in his arms...the minute he wakes up he starts screaming..."No you must not read from the book!"

So if there's nothing to "conspiracy theories," why spend tax money to infiltrate and undermine them? Do you think they realize that them trying to defeat us only adds more value to our cause?

I think it’s an admission of defeat in a way, for a wise man would say when ever an argument leads towards confrontation that both parties have already lost.

We have been on the loosing end a long time now as government has used its ill gotten unconstitutional power and taxpayer’s money to do more or less what ever it has wanted unchecked.

Now they have to admit that there are at the very least a large and growing number of people who don’t trust Government any longer and deeply examining pretty much everything government does.

That they have to confront that now directly is in my humble opinion a very visible chink in their armor.

After all most of the better debaters here on ATS when they find they are being overcome on any aspect of an issue just ignore that aspect! That way they can avoid making it seem more credible than it is.

It’s going to be a hard sell for the government convincing people they are crazy when almost a decade after 9-11 not one person has even been tried or convicted of it in abstentia.

It’s going to be a hard sell for the government to convince the people that the Bailouts weren’t just a corporate giveaway and looting of the treasury when unemployment continues to rise, and foreclosures continue to rise, and the prices of everything just keep going up, up, up, and the economy just gets worse, worse, worse.

How long can they say their detractors are crazy in such conditions?

Thanks for posting friend.

IMO they are really after the people who spread BS as truth. The kind of BS that gets debunked on ATS but not on other similar websites. There are a lot of sites on the internet where no facts are ever checked to ensure a theory's credibility.

I think it more than that. Why would the government be concerned with some nonsense posted on the internet that can easily be debunked? It seems to me that it is more likely that they want to make sure people don't dig too deep and actually uncover the truth.

I couldn't help but add this here. This is one of those guys who is a threat to our society. just look how dangerous this long haired informed hippie is!

As the video implies, Got truth?

WAIT! if you do, you may be tracked by the White House! ah the duality of it all! be a sheep, conform, and not be bothered.

Or be informed, bothered, infiltrated, and deemed a terrorist.
the only things these guys will bee blowing up are people's mind's informing people with the truth!

I am convinced he is attempting to broaden peoples perspectives. Is that not exactly the socialist agenda? "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." A Gene Roddenberry belief slyly slipped in to The Wrath of Khan.

Yes but this is a new crop of trolls.

Trolls controlled by a Czar.

Who would have thought in just one short year of a U.S. Presidential Administration we would end up with more Czars than the entire history of Russia!

Obama staffer wants 'cognitive infiltration' of 9/11 conspiracy groups

in re: OP

About all i can say is... wow.

For the last month or two, I have been disagreeing with those who feared that ATS might be infiltrated with 'disinfo agents'. It just seemed like the kind of paranoia that led to the Inquisition, the Salem Witch Trials and McCarthyism.

But now? I am not so sure.

While I am no longer young enough to know everything, I am damned sure not so old that I can't learn a thing or two.

Thanks for the enlightenment.

I would be shocked if there wasnt already plenty of monitering going on of chatrooms, websites (like this), etc.

I find it actually refreshing that eyes are on such places. one concept is that the government themself may not have the full picture and a well laid out connection may teach them something they didnt know.

That of course is the upside of being "infiltrated". Frankly, I think it would be more productive if they simply gave spokespersons offically to join in the groups. defend the offical stories with facts, research, and other uncoverings that are sometimes overlooked by the conspiracy in question anyhow.

And if it is something that the government is covering up, well, thats the only time things can get hairy...Obviously for national security purposes, such people wouldnt be able to disclose plenty of stuff for whatever reasons deemed protected...but I think that what is considered vital to national security should be looked over multiple times and release what is only held secret out of tradition or because it might "freak out" the public. Old school thinking there.

Anyhow, bring em on, and hopefully they will be able to add valueable contributions. Its lack of information and answering simple questions that drives conspiracy theories anyhow...the worst thing they could do is continue to ignore any theory or dismiss it as silly without addressing the more thoughtful questions.

In saying that, I am not convinced 9.11 was anything more than simply what the offical story was. some oddities happened, and some questionmarks remain, but when you compare the offical story with the alternative theories,...I remember one theory even said the planes were holograms..(might as well just said alien space ships disguised as airplanes...)
For me, the biggest question that remains unanswered is how much was known beforehand...was is a true suprise or more of a let it happen senario.

More than sex, more than money, more than anything else the most powerful commodity on earth is information.

Information is the source of power that can get you money and affection.

Information is how you control people.

The government has always been in the information business, from Thomas Paynes "Common Sense" pamphlet right on through today.

Governing is all about getting your message out and controlling your message and discrediting or negating anyone who is on the other side of the aisle of that message.

The Internet is going to be the number one battle ground in the information wars that will be waged for dominance in the 21st century!

Zionist controlled media has been anti internet for some time now.
Look at how the file sharing has been attacked, bringing numerous sites down.

Simply look at Rupert Murdoch's (Owner of FOX IMA) disdain for it, saying "The Internet will Soon Be OVER ".

Obama was step 1, even though I am fairly certain that both he and McCain's obvious allegiance to AIPAC as well as all of these CFR sponsored Presidential candidates answer to Israel's every beck and call.

This Sunstein has intelligence community written all over him. He actually has written several books, one of which openly challenges the right to free speech.

Here's a quote from his WIKIPEDIA:

"In his book Democracy and the Problem of Free Speech, Sunstein says there is a need to reformulate First Amendment Law."

There you have it folks.

I say that we begin planning now ..... due to it's inevitability.

The internet grew out of a small network of users comprised of the defense industry and academia called ARPRANET.

It was all text based but established the original internet backbone, linking universities and govt agencies.

I say we begin looking into alternative means to free speech on the internet NOW because once this shill is on the Supreme Court, Rupert's goal will become reality.

Just perhaps by utilizing a wireless internet that doesn't rely or use the corporate/govt. owned internet backbone but instead uses the airwaves to bridge to other wireless people's servers similar to how the original ARPRANET was born.

If anything, it would be a start.

Hey here's a theory. People should pull their heads out of their butts and realize that they are being duped by a Maoist, Marxist snot jockey lawyer boy who poses as a 'progressive muslim'.

Of course, that's not really a theory, more of alliteration and a statement of opinion. But the next time you see a failed financial institution bailed out ask yourself, is this the 'CHANGE' I had hoped for?

Probably not, but some folks are so poisoned by the kool aid that they can't see their political 'Elvis' is really a 'Millie Vanilly'.

Fantastic post, Protoplasmic!

ATS is riddled with shills. It's as plain as day because they all use the same exhausted methods.

Those who debunk are fine. It's the disinformants who generate new theories to detract from the accurate theories are the most lethal.

The saddest type of ATS members are the ones who unwittingly perform the role of a shill with out even being a shill. They simply do it of their own accord. That's pretty darn sad.

Proto, I think this is more proof that we have one party running our government. Why else would a Democrat appointee suggest anything to take the heat, even from crackpot conspiracists, off the Republican thugs they ousted? The fact is the pot is boiling beneath all of these shysters. If we are allowed to have our own beliefs on 9/11, then we will have our own beliefs on the underwear bomber, the kotowing to world leaders, the global warming crusade, the stimulus, health insurance bills for all and so much more. They scratch each other's backs and why not, in reality they sleep in the same bed.

Notice the show of solidarity with the Haiti crisis, very convenient. Bush and Clinton together again for the first time. Isn't Carter the rebuild it guy? Wasn't Bush the very same guy that was so slow on the draw during Katrina? Isn't Clinton the guy Barack should be serving coffee too? I guess "we all can get along" and isn't that reassuring.

^^^^THIS^^^^

Words of warning from 1955 from physicist Robert Oppenheimer..
about the dangers of covert manipulation...when he was a guest speaker to the American
Psychological Association in 1955 - this text was not on the web..
grabbed from a footnote on page 214 from a good article in The Journal
of Atomic Scientists..LINK

"In the last ten years physicists have been extraordinarily noisy
about the immense powers, largely through their efforts, but through
other efforts as well, that have have come into the possession of man, powers
notably and strikingly for very large scale and dreadful destruction.
We have spoken of our responsibilities and our obligations to society
in terms that sound very provincial, because the psychologist can
hardly do anything without realizing that for him the acquisition of
knowledge opens up the most terrifying prospects of controlling what
people do and how they feel. This is true for all of you who are
engaged in practice, and as the corpus of psychology gains in
certitude and subtlety and skill.

I can see that the physicists pleas that what he discovers be used with humanity and be used wisely will seem trivial compared to those pleas which you will have to make and for which you will be responsible."

And from a book by an ex-cia dude - that I wish someone would use in their sig line:
"The best propaganda makes you think it was your idea"

All the politicians at an upper level work together. There is nothing that the Democratic Party controlled congress denied Bush in his last two years of office while they controlled congress.

They would huff and they would puff but they wouldn't blow the house down instead they would sit down and give him everything he wanted.

Job number 1 for ever President Obama included is to cover the last President's behind.

If you notice Mister William Jefferson Clinton by chance just happens to be the U.N. Special Envoy to Haiti.

He also has an existing Charity for Haiti set up in his name before this disaster ever hit, and is urging all people not to send food or water or blankets but CASH, and CASH to his William Jefferson Clintion Haiti Charity Foundation.

Him and Bush Sr. ran a similar one after the Tsunami in Indonesia. As thick as theives those two are since in fact that they are.

Now lets review, former President already has himself set up as Special U.N. Embassador to Haiti prior to the largest disaster in the 21st Centurty striking the country and a Charity Foundation to milk the donations.

South Com (Southern U.S. Army Command) had there number two General in Haiti the day that the disaster strikes!

Miami and the Carribean were in the midsts of the longest record breaking cold front in a 100 years for the days preceding the disaster.

Can you say HARRP good buddy, I bet you can.

Yeah the government really needs to get on the Internet pretty darn quick!

There are definately days for some here on ATS that the Deny Ignorance Motto means deny your own at any and all costs.

What the shills love to do more than anything else is try to use emotional manipulation and peer pressure to back up their contentions and assertions.

They do find the weak links at times.

Thanks for posting friend.
