When I think of how things are now a days I can't help but be reminded of the fictional movie 1984

Nice video.

I personally dont feel the "zombism" is limited to America.

I also dont think I believe any more that it is something being done "to us." I used to. I wanted to. But lately I have been leaning towards the belief that this is what most people want. They arent being "dumbed down." They are choosing "dumbed down." PBS is available, and you dont even need to buy a special package from your cable provider to get it. But people prefer "American Idol."

Face it, the proliferation of rubbish, drugs to moderate our emotions, crappy food that tastes good and is harmful to us, these things arent being forced upon us. We are begging for them. Please, just drug us up, and feed us on crap, both physically and mentally. We dont really want to know what is going on in politics, because that might make us feel guilty. Just hand us our stuff, keep us safe, do what you want, and if things go wrong, we will blame it all on "The NWO" or some other shadowy conspirators, all so that we never have to take responsibility for our own lives, our own thinking, our own weight and health problems, the behavior and functioning of our democracy, etc. etc. I really suspect there is no "them." Just us.

I like this video. I reposted it on my myspace and facebook. I hope a lot of people will watch it, and hopefully spread the message.

Also, there is another thread based on this video:

No worries. I've had it happen to me a few times as well. ATS is so massive and if you don't search under just the right word sometimes, it can be easy to miss. I certainly wasn't trying to police you, I just figured you might find the thoughts that were shared to be of interest.
But like I said, it is a good video. I'm glad you got to watch/share it.

The video started a little slow/weird and I almost didn't watch it.

I'm so glad I did.

A very POWERFUL message here.

Everyone should listen to this.

Good video

I thought that nerdy sounding guys was Clark Howard, but then I looked up some of his quotes online, and I can't find Clark saying anything similar to that.

For years I always hear people talk down on David Icke.

However, I have listened to many speeches by him and have never found him say anything crazy.

He always sounds really concise and rational.

Can you point out something he said that is crazy? thanks I'd love to see it.

Err, like how he is jesus? and how the queen is a reptilian?
Im old enough to remember when he was a sports pundit, you see, before he lost it.

And I also think he is EXTREMELY unoriginal.

But as he has always had media exposure, well, no such thing as bad publicity, eh? He seems to make a decent living out of it.

HOWEVER I did find the audience shouting down the arab looking guy, with the USA chant, VERY apposite, just didnt need Ickey for dessert,

George Romero's Dead Films were all direct social commentaries and even more fitting all these years later.

It is sad it has taken so many years for many people to start noticing what the movies (and his zombies) were actually meaning to show us in the guise of fiction.

It is also sad to see that most fans of Romero's Dead Flims still do not even know what the films were actually trying to communicate in the first place.

It is pretty much as simple a point as one can make.

Thanks for spoon feeding it to those who need it most.

Nothing new here...... a lot of zombie movies are down right critisism of the society we live. The consumer being the zombie, because we no longer seem to be choosing for ourselves or atleast choosing the easy way out.

Go back 30 years and the statement was the same, but I guess the next generation needs to work this out for themselves as well.

This will be ture always... there will always be someone on top. Someone offering those at the bottom "an easy life" in order to keep the wheels running. Keep us happy and numb and we wont revolt.

I leave you with this quote of Radiohead's "Fitter Happier":

Fitter, happier, more productive, comfortable, not drinking too much
Regular exercise at the gym, 3 days a week
Getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries at ease
Eating well, no more microwave dinners and saturated fats
A patient better driver, a safer car, baby smiling in back seat
Sleeping well, no bad dreams, no paranoia
Careful to all animals, never washing spiders down the plughole
Keep in contact with old friends, enjoy a drink now and then
Will frequently check credit at moral bank, hole in wall
Favors for favors, fond but not in love
Charity standing orders on sundays ring road supermarket
No killing moths or putting boiling water on the ants
Car wash, also on sundays, no longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows
Nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate nothing so childish
At a better pace, slower and more calculated, no chance of escape
Now self-employed, concerned, but powerless
An empowered and informed member of society, pragmatism not idealism
Will not cry in public, less chance of illness, tires that grip in the wet
Shot of baby strapped in back seat, a good memory still cries at a good film
Still kisses with saliva, no longer empty and frantic like a cat tied to a stick
That's driven into frozen winter #, the ability to laugh at weakness
Calm fitter, healthier and more productive a pig in a cage on antibiotics.
