Anyone here possible of offering Reiki attunements?

Even though it seems illogical to me that you would need them to perform Reiki, I'm still open to try it, anything is possible. So are there any Masters out there willing to give free attunements? To me and possible others interested.

I wonder if asking my higher self for an attunement would work? Or asking any other higher self?

I have no idea of this Reiki that you speak of. A little summary would be much appreciated.

For a fee, some new age hippie in a poncho will wave their hands over you and mumble to themselves for a few minutes. Followed by an afternoon of you feeling ashamed of yourself for being so gullible.

That about sums up the Reiki experience in a nutshell.

A good friends mom is a third degree reiki master. I remember a conversation with him, i asked for initation, but he told me that even he had to pay for the workshop. As i know, you learn through several exercises (mostly about creativity) to tune yourself (as preparation) and after this you will be tuned by a master. This only works with physical contact.

I know it´s not the only, but the quickest way. But i have a big anti-feeling about everything that makes money with spiritual lessons.

I would like to help you evolve, but i cannot without beeing asked for.

It´s a long hard process, what is only possible when your soul is ready for.
I mean it´s nearly for everyone possible to learn but to understand....
I give my own Karma a risk when i tell someone things for what he/she is not ready for.

I've had back problems over the past three years, and have tried EVERYTHING to solve it.

About a year and a half ago, I had a Reiki practicioner from an online forum offer to heal me over the internet...I was very skeptical, but I'll try anything since it was free. He wanted to do it to help sharpen his own skills, since he was still relatively new to it.

He worked on me for months, and during that time I noticed a DRASTIC reduction in pain...around 60-70%!!! It was enough to cut back on my pain medicine by about half. I couldn't believe it, but it was real.

Anyway, I never could get rid of the pain altogether, and after about 6 months or so, we stopped communicating and the healing slowly subsided. I am now back to full blown pain in my back and down my legs, and I would LOVE for some one else to give it a try if anyone is willing.

Please let me know!

my sister in law is a reiki master, I would be glad to ask her for you. I won't talking to her for a couple days but I will get back to you.

I've gone on the Reiki journey and its my honest belief that the same effect is better achieved through hyponsis and auto-suggestion, they are all essentially the same, the same process with different ideas tagged on.

This video is about back pain, I put self-hypnosis higher than Reiki for healing, I am only a beginner but you know when the radio is on and you don't hear it? You can essentially do that with pain and but I have only hypnotized myself three times so I am not an expert and am still seeking wisdom

Yeah i'm not much into paying for spiritual things either, it makes it seem like a fraud to me. Sometimes though, it is understandable if its tradition to do that or giving away of a material object instead. But for you to claim that all of Reiki is a hoax with just your words and no extensive research or evidence is ignorant. I dont know if you know but prayer alone has been proven to cure disease so Reiki and similar energetic healing is certainly possible.

Its kind of funny though, the threads i start with no effort or with no real care for get many posts very quickly, but when i start a more serious thread in my perspective... The posts come slow. Actually my girl's friend is a "reiki master" and I give him a hard time about it everytime I see him. Believe me, I know more about that garbage than I would like to. He recently got a couple grand sucked out of him to become a master in fact. Whatever association governs it had him and hundreds of others fly to Italy to become masters. Now he drives around with advertising for that crap all over his truck and charges people hilarious amounts of money to go to their house and wave his hands over them, hosts workshops and can even make you a reiki master, for a large sum of money

Reiki practitioners have always charged money for their snake oil from the very beginning, it's a pyramid scheme plain and simple.

You can't possibly believe that Reiki and prayer have been proven to cure disease. Is that what they told you? Don't be so gullible.

How am I being gullible? You still haven't provided any bit of info that supports your opinion. Besides I have personal experience where I have healed myself with just thought and the wave of my hand. Besides if it has been proven that smiles can cure cancer, how far fetched does energetic healing sound? not too far. Or how about performing telekinesis to make a psi-wheel move or how about astral projection? Those both seem far more far fetched but they work. Do a quick search on prayer healing, you will get a lot.

I was skeptical as well...but being that I was offered the service for free of charge, from someone wanting practice at their own abilities, I decided to give it a shot.

I was absolutley stunned with how quickly my pain decreased while he was treating me...He was in constant communication with me asking how things were, and checking on whether or not his methods were working. They worked for around 6 months! I stopped because I felt guilty about stringing him along any further after he couldn't eradicate the pain altogether...but a 60-70% reduction in pain is a huge success in my book!

This convinced me the phenomena does in fact have something to it. Now I'm not saying there aren't a whole bunch of people out there making money off of snake oil and bogus practices, but true practitioners of this technique can create a change! I've experienced it first hand.

If there is anyone else who would like to sharpen their skills or try them out on me, I am still in a lot of pain and would love to give it another go...I wasn't able to completely defeat it last time, but maybe with the right person it could be possible.

I think it's valid, whatever name we call it.

I am in pain and would welcome any healing that could be sent my way.

Taking the 'master'-part with considerable humour, I've been a reiki-master for some ten years, with occasional surprisingly good results. And I've never charged a dime for my services to anybody.

Personally I hate new-age commercialism, and the initiation fees for the different reiki levels are ABSURD. Actually a COMPLETE initiation can be done in at most two sessions taking maybe 15 minutes each, and as I haven't obliged myself to join the overpriced monopol system of reiki, I have freely initiated quite a few candidates myself.

NO WAY a reiki healing justifies the prices taken. And OFCOURSE I'll be accused of being incompetent or unauthentic because I don't join the general greed amongst alternative healers making a quick buck.

Being an european I'm not in a position of offering personal contact with the (mainly) american group of readers here, but I'll help to the best of my abilities.
