In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens

and thomas jefferson said something along the lines that every 100 years or so we need to rise up and otherthrow the gov't to show them who is actually the boss of the country- which is SUPPOSED to be us citizens- not the criminals in gov't or the bs bankers that live overseas and run our economy. we should have a right to say where our tax money goes- not the other way around.
and now i can't wait to see how much money nobama sends to haiti after the earthquake- screw them-tell them to deal with it on your own

I am a fan of the saying, 'Gun control means hitting your target.'

I know in reality though, that it is all about control. As Hitler said about the Swiss and as a high ranking Japanese official said about America with a gun behind every blade of grass.... That is exactly why Americans need to be armed. It balances the power between the Gov't and the People.

I almost never read people's sig's. I end up skipping them like I would advertisements.

Although I echo you in your statement of TRYING to get the guns from americans, TPTB that want gun control will not go blunt force. You don't attack the hardened edges of gun rights. You dig under the structure to remove all stability, then you attack. Guns will be demonized, gun control advocates in Gov't will spin it so as giving up your guns would be the american thing to do. I can just see them putting out propaganda to encourage you to report your neighbors for "illegal" possession of guns.

Personally I think that one of the big propaganda offenses in this country is Henry Anslinger's anti-cannabis film 'Reefer Madness'. Not to advocate or condone the usage of said substance, but that man had an agenda and lied, disparaged and discriminated against many, many people. The term 'marihuana' was slang for smoked cannabis by mexican immigrants. He got the first cannabis ban in I believe 1937, Yet after the USA entered WW2 they put out propaganda posters urging, actually forcing, farmers to grow HEMP to help the war effort. It's so bad one year then 6 years later it is a vital part of the war machine.


Sorry for the short rant on cannabis but propaganda is ALWAYS bad. Weather you agree with the premise or not.

Just to let you know...these targets WILL be shooting back..not like animals and non moving targets, just because youyr a good shot with those...it will be a lot different when your under fire. I agree with you. Other than your sarcasm in the first line. The people shooting back will be trained in such situations. It could be a very scary scenario. It is likely that there would be a large number of casualty's. Our Gov't. will not do such a thing until they can change the majority of the public's perspective on guns though.

As Sun Tzu said, echoed by Von Clausewitz, from a military standpoint the first thing that needs to be done when engaging the enemy is to disarm them. When the government is disarming its own citizenry then, it should be clear how the view that citizenry.

It is intriguing that the gun homicide rate peaked a bit in '88, the year after the Hoddle St. and Queen St. shootings that first got Australians excited about the "gun problem," then peaked a bit in '92, again the year after the '91 Strathfield shooting (and two after the '90 Surrey Hills shooting). You do have a point. In that view, however, shouldn't the highly trained English Army have kicked the American colonist's (untrained and mostly never been in combat) collective butt? Is that why we couldn't win in Vietnam over ill-equipped, untrained irregular troops??? Hearts and minds have something to do with it too.

I think what I love the most is that there are no citations, only random numbers. I mean, sure, anyone could just pop numbers in a sentence and call it fact. And sure, maybe a lot of this is hearsay, but wow, so inspiring.

The way you, and others like you, copy and paste emails and websites here is truly an inspiration as well. Void of thought is the way I prefer to live my life. Angry and in fear for the win!

I own a variety of guns and enjoy shooting whenever I can. Bloody rounds are expensive these days though!. Got my concealed permit too. If you obtain them legally there should be no problem. Pass better laws ,of course bad people will still get there hands on them. So why take a legal man's gun? and the right to defend yourself and family. I hope it never happens in the U.S.
