There is not a single iota of common ground I have with that woman . The religion aspect should be used against her . People like her , her ilk , they don't belong in western civilized society . If they want to go up some hill waiting for the rapture , if they want to go about dragging people back to some medieval conception of the world and society , then they ought to be legally precluded from running for any kind of government office .

We don't need religious fools . Look what Bush did . They need to be subject to strict legislature to curb their political activities.

I remember hearing on CNN last year (End of 2008, rather) that she said the war in Afghanistan was "God's will" as well.

THAT ONE made me sick to my stomach and I never looked at her in the same way after that.

Who says things like that??!

I don't think its appropriate to flip out on her for simply being religious.

There is nothing wrong with being religious or even believing God helps you in mysterious ways. The real problem lies with her rapture ready church. It greatly concerned us that someone may gain power over a huge military complex that believed in the rapture and might be tempted to bring it a little faster.

Also, those that claim God speaks directly to them should be viewed with some suspicion. As more often or not they turn out to be con men/cult leaders or simply insane.

Though it sounds like she believed it was God's plan which is different than saying God told her to run as vice president.

Oh come on!

You support social security right? so does she!

You support socialized medical care of some form or another, right? so does she!

You support bailouts of mega banks right? so does she!

You support bailouts of socialist housing right? so does she!

You support a fiat monetary system that allows the government to borrow unlimited cash to prop up all its socialist programs right? so does she!

You support war against brown people right? so does she!

see?

she agrees with dems on just about all the major points!

Oh so what.

Al Gore thinks the world is going to end unless we reduce our standard of living back to the stone ages and hand over all our money to carbon trading firms like his.

I'd say the green movement, which is heavily democratic, is much more "end of the world" oriented than Palin is.

They even have whole TV channels dedicated to reducing your standard of living.

Well , I'm not a 'Dem' . I'm not an american . I have no belief in anything either of what your parties have to say . You are run by a corporate oligarchy , and all your feudal GOP / Dem bickering is pointless rhetoric . Because they don't run the show . Besides , the choice of democrats or republicans to anybody outside the usa only means an extreme right or an ultra extreme right party getting in . And in either case it means some war based on BS being perpetrated against some nation .

I'm not a Christian, and I don't like Sara Palin as far as I can throw her..but..that said...

This isn't fair. Because someone feels they have a religious calling, and even if they believe they talk to God, that doesn't make them crazy or mean they hear voices.

Trouble is , America is populated with religious fools . That breeds the kind of political/religious vulture that will cater to that kind of lower denomination voter and spew out all kinds of BS , pretending to hear gods words , pretending to do what god has decreed . It's all a gimmick , it's all just BS . They are just leading the slow witted on for more votes . You won't cure that kind of thing till you tackle your education problem . It is not just a joke that Americans are looked upon as dumb , it is a reality . You need to get some kind of social program into place to tackle these real issues , to educate . Solve this problem and the likes of Palin's antics will become a thing of the past .

Above we see a sample of the kinds of writings put out by the elitists that populate the liberal side of the political spectrum.

Only they know the truth.
Only they have the answers.

Everyone else just needs to give up and lay down while they think and do all that is needed - per the elitists, of course - to take care of the poor, unintelligent masses.

Anyone not sharing their beliefs are immediately labeled with all kinds of derogatory statements.

Fortunately, elitists are relatively easy to spot. If you are unsure, just try challenging one of their statements or beliefs. If the response is similar to the above post, then you are dealing with an elitist.

That would suggest I have an agenda . That would suggest I am part of your 'spectrum'. Why would I care , you think I am a player with something to gain . Your trouble is , you meet up with an idea that doesn't tally with yours , and immediately they are part of some elitist agenda , some suspicious plan to usurp the poor and unfortunates . You need to forget your little daydreams of those elitists that are out to supposedly get you , especially ones thousands of miles away in europe . I advocate education , and you advocate fear- mongering denial . You are the one that they need to watch for .

Just go back and read what you originally wrote. Read it for content. Read it to understand how it would look to the majority of the population that does not share your points of view.

As for the rest of your response, my characterization is still very much valid. You just don't like being "outed".

I read it , so what ? . The 'majority of the population that does not share that point of view' statement is superfluous . First of all , nobody knows who agrees with it and who doesn't , let alone apportion a 'majority ' to it . I could go around saying you have upset the majority of flat earth believers , knowing that it only consists of mr and mrs jones from grimsbey . But even if you did upset them , it doesn't necessarily entail you wanted to impart an elitist agenda on them . You make it up as you go along .

This is what the pro- religion , pro Palin debacle in the usa is reduced to these days ? , accusing europeans of an elitist agenda to undermine their integrity . You could not make it up , any sad sorry excuse will do . The only thing 'outed' is your stupidity .

I have the notion you do not want them educated . Far better to keep them dumb and blame some obscure 'elitist element' for suggesting they be educated and to deny them it for those same 'subversive' reasons . Considering I have no dog in this race , I wonder whose dog you are backing .

You're incredibly observant, aren't you?
Look to your left.
Left-handed Stratocasters (guitars).

Hint#2: Just because someone says something about Palin doesn't mean they don't say things about her alleged opposite number. Again, you assume.

Nothing to read here... move along.

Sarah has recently stated that it was God's plan that she run for office.

Subsequently, I guess God told her to get a gig with Faux news.

People VOTED for her.

This must be one of those horsemen I keep hearing about.....

Okay, but did she say WHICH god's plan this is?

She may have a god to whom she refers as "God", but that don't mean she's talking about MY God, the Father.

And George Bush.

Redundant.

Actually George didn't hear from God so much as God consulted George on important stuff.

That means Bush has a God complex, and thinks he can do anything he wants.

Oh, wait..........

really?

Last I checked, we still live in a free country. Free to work, worship and earn.

Is that what the concept of freedom has been condensed to?
