Hutchison Whampoa, which controls 12% of all container port capacity in the world and employs 200,000 people, has long been alleged to be either an arm of the Chinese military or beholden to the communist regime which considers the United States an adversary. This situation has troubled prominent Americans, such as the now deceased Adm. Thomas H Moorer, a former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman who pointed out some years ago that Hutchison Whampoa already controls the Atlantic and Pacific seaports of the Panama Canal that century-old American-made commercial waterway connecting the Atlantic with the Pacific that has a military function and is arguably one of the most strategic choke points on the globe.

This is just a little bit of what China is doing. Helping the US and controlling ports of entry. What have they brought in & what will they bring in next? A report saying 5,000 Chinese police/military have gone missing. Maybe smuggled into the US for a vacation. The Mexican port & the Texas corridor could flood 200,000 troops into the US if needed.Not only are we enjoying a long cold winter, we will enjoy a warm 2010. I don't see why the war is coming. You are saying China COULD invade us, but that doesn't mean they will. We could also cover every inch of China with nuclear explosions before they land 200,000 troops in the U.S.

China wants Canada, the US, and Mexico mainly for its land. First, the current occupiers (us) have to be moved....hmm...o crap! maybe Modern Warfare 2 isn't that far off when it comes to the story line.

True...but what happens if the indebted US government itself opens the door and rolls out the carpet freely to increased Chinese control?

After all, think of all those bonds the Chinese hold. Think of how much the US government needs to borrow from China just to survive -- never mind thrive. At some point, the Chinese (logically enough) will demand something of REAL VALUE in America, rather than pieces of paper. That will be when things get...interesting.

Do you think China has the balls to do that? I think if China ever tries to threaten us into paying up, we will grab them by the balls and threaten to rip them out. Think of what happened in Iraq... they had some oil and we wanted it so we grabbed them by the balls and ripped their balls out and now the entire country is confused because their balls are missing. That's just how we do things, and China knows that. Anyways, China has problems in its own neighborhood that it has to worry about like Tibet and North Korea.

Yes, but the team in charge of "We" is different now. I'll just leave it at that.

Plus, things are more internationalized...Lots of American billionaries and business leaders don't care what happens to the US anymore because their investments are spread over the globe...they can just jump in the private jet and head off to the Caymen Islands or Zurich if things get hairy enough...Even the Bush family owns a huge spread in Paraguay.

And like it or not, the US is in a much more fragile financial position than its been for a long time...perhaps since the 1930s. And more debt-dependent than ever on China.

Finally, don't forget...the Chinese have nuclear weapons too.

Just because they have nukes it doesn't mean we can't use them. If they land 200,000 troops on our soil they better be ready for some massive retaliation. Let's say we retaliate with troops, they will retaliate with more troops than we can handle. And when that happens, we get our nukes ready and say back off or there is nuclear war. But China doesn't want nuclear war, so they won't attack us at all.

That's even more far-fetched than a second United States Civil War. China has grown to be the economy to watch but only on the back of American and European consumerism. If they invaded the US, they kill their biggest market. It would be akin to Intel bombing Apple for their building.

The biggest question I have to your theory here is, why on earth would China take by force what it can purchase legally? I would assume that you are talking about the resources in the land in North America or the food that can be produced on it. If they just want land for the sake of land, Russia is much closer. Resources and food can be bought, especially in the case of China where the United States, Canada and European Union would absolutely love to lower their trade deficit and sell the Chinese anything they want.

Militarily China has not even made a move of any leverage against Taiwan, let alone a western superpower. The issue of the shipping companies being arms of the Chinese Military shows a lack of understanding of communist nations. Everything is influenced by the military in some way, corporate and military distinctions don't work there like they do in capitalist or socialist nations. Back in the Soviet Union if you had you own crop duster plane, congratulations you were a pilot in Aeroflot, and in the air force reserves.

China and the United States are conjoined twins at this point, two very different minds, but your economy, your heart is shared. Any effort to stop that heart by either of you, will kill you both.

Now since you posed a question, I will answer your question.

Because if China is legally on the verge of buying out all of corporate America the American people will not stand for this and they will want their leaders to do something, so the American government will threaten to wage war, and then China will invade America and take over by force.

This is a form of economic and social invasion. The US Army and intelligence agencies already know this is going on and we're also trying to stop it from our end. But for other continents like Africa, they're not so lucky. I don't have the information at hand but there's a video with this information. I found it here in ATS as a matter of fact. A full-on nuclear war will never happen do to the fact it would literally be the end of the world. America may be China's biggest consumer but what happens when the consumers no longer have the money to buy Chinese goods? I think things are going to be really bad in 2010, sooner rather than later.

they will sell their crap to their own folk. Chinese probably understand that they have to develop their own solid consumer base too.

I think China holds most of the defaulted mortgages in the US.

This situation sounds a lot like what happened in Tyre and Sidom. They wanted the agricultural lands of Israel, so they traded with them, charging interest, and finally indebted them over their heads.

They stole the land through usury. They took forces and went into the country. They killed the farmers and took their land; also took children from their parents and made slaves and prostitutes of them.

Yes I did say China doesn't have the balls to invade America. The second statement was an attempt by me to consider the other side of the argument. After considering the other side of the argument, I've decided that China definitely would rather legally buy out America rather than invade America. So I agree with what I said earlier that China doesn't have the balls to invade America.

China is waging a war.

The West IS actually currently at war with China, albeit an economic war, as yet without bullets and bombs.

People will still die nonetheless, through the inevitable poverty that ensues on both sides of the war.

Needless to say, China is winning the war. They are fast becoming the worlds financial superpower, while our position is ever more precarious.

Buying up strategic areas such as ports and shipping, and so on, is akin to a 'silent invasion'.

Imagine this as very slow, very low key and subtle troop movement and placement...'the frog in boiling water' analogy is a good one. Place the hypothetical frog into hot/boiling water, it will jump out quickly, but place it in cool water and heat it very slowly, the frog will stay in the water until it boils. Slowly, slowly, catchy monkey.

5000 missing probably means closer to 20,000 missing.

Multiply that figure if it continues over another few years or so, and you'll have a foreign army, trained and ready to fight living quietly among you, waiting for the word to go from party chairman whomever.

Or they could just use their financial muscle to buy up everything of value in the West, and our leaders being the greedy children they are, will sell it to them. Then it is a simple matter of dumping the stocks, locking the ports, taking the money away, calling in the debts etc.

Selling your country to an 'enemy' country, is not only stunningly idiotic and short sighted, it's bordering on treason.
