Could you elaborate on that? I'd be interested to know more about that as I fail to see how the US pressures Israel in such a way that is has (had) serious consequences.

Most recent one:

The United Stats may legally cut its international aid to Israel in two years if peace talks fail with Palestine.

www.imemc.org...
While result is unknown so far, i can assure you that local radio news were all over that, interviewing politicians left and right. Government guys passed the blame on Palestinians claiming that they are ready, it is over side that stalls it and similar stuff. As opposed to not speaking about talks at all lately. So it created resonance.
For previous occasions of US pressure on Israel:

The United States demanded that Israel desist from even exploratory contacts with Syria, of the sort that would test whether Damascus is serious in its declared intentions to hold peace talks with Israel.

www.haaretz.com...
Then there are numerous removals of illegal outposts (that magically reappear later since it is usually just a tent(.
Then there are blocking of Israeli Chinese/Indian military deals.
Then there is Hebron agreement.
And ctr and ctr and ctr.

The fact of the matter is that both the Camp David and Oslo Accords awarded massive U.S. Aide in perpetuity to all the signing parties, with the lion's share going to Israel, lesser amounts to Egypt and Jordan and the smallest amounts with the heaviest strings attached to the Palistinians.

Some would argue that these concessions were made for the vanity and posterity of the U.S. Presidents who negotiated them as "Peace Agreements" while others would say it was just the legal mechanism to ensure the funding of Israel and to eliminate Egypt and Jordan from challenging the Zionist State by financially rewarding them not too.

Israel milks the Palistinian issue with it's policies of genocide and apartheid to purposefully inflame the situation for American Dollars and European Euros and British Pounds, and that's no matter how you slice it!

Edit to Add: In fact the United States Tax Payer has doled out so much money for peace in Israel every Palestinian could have been relocated into a mansion on Lake Geneva at this point.

Instead Israel uses the money for weapons, propaganda and to continue a slow genocide against the Palestinians for maximum profit.

We can agree to a two-state solution if we(israel) can have as much weapons as we wish and stockpile like there is no tomorrow but you can not have any weapons(palestine).

bla bla bla Israel has the right to defend itself.
But the oppressed blockaded hungry-starving jailed in their own home don't?

Peaceful talks?

Really?????

So - rockets help not to be starved/jailed/oppressed? Compare West bank with Gaza. Same Palestinians, same Israelis. No rockets.
In order to not be starving and ctr, first thing to do would be to concentrate on economy and not on fighting,me thinks. Israel is there and it will be there. If Hamas gets another thousand rockets or if they will get 100 tanks. However there will be no blockade if Hamas would concentrate on building industry other then rocket making factories. And there will be even bloodier war if Hamas gets more firepower.
Or do you think that Israel is full of idiots who do not see that Hamas does not give a rats behinds about independent Palestine , all it cares is to fight Israel and it is willing to sacrifice starving jailed oppressed people for the cause.

Gaza has a wall all around it
when west bankers get jailed, when they get released they go to Gaza
they can't see family anymore they just get sent to Gaza
even some non-crime commiting students from West Bank get sent against their will to Gaza

Gaza is treated as an open air prison with robot snipers all around the gaza wall

There is an israeli blockade on Gaza right now
they can't export anything until very very recently flowers and natural gas

nothing else
that kinda affects economy doesn't it?

any other questions?

What is the reason for blockade on Gaza? Israel can just as easily blockade West bank. No reason. Gaza is blockaded for a reason. Several thousand of reasons actually, that fell and keep falling on Israeli South.

Forget palestine

go create an apartheid on New York or New Jersey, or better yet Texas
See how they respond

Rockets will be the least of your worries
this is not specific to Palestine

Behave this way with any community any any action will have a reaction
Stop being blind to the oppression

Even if you were treated like a Gazan you would throw anything you could find at the oppressors
