No thought provoking, 10k word thread today. Just really neat pics of earth, some from close by, some from WAYYYY out there.
All really pretty.

Wow! Cool pics

I like the one from the surface of Mars, kinda brings it home we were there.

(No conspiracy we were there in my experience - I was very connected with people from U of A who helped build the rovers and part of Hubble telescope)

I think I like the one of Earth peeking out behind the guy on the moon.

But yeah, the one from Mars is cool too. It;s crazy to think that anything can be that far away, The more you think of it, the harder it is to digest the fact that space is BIG.

Those were great too!

I liked the first one, of the astronauts. I would be entirely too distracted up there to properly do my job.

Which, I guess.....thats why m not up there.

Yep, I like that one too.

Think about it. I wonder if there is life somewhere else checking out our diggs through a telescope:

"Dude, look at this little blue dot"

"I wonder if there is life there?"

Love the one taken by Voyager of the Earth and the Moon in the same frame from a great distance.
Really shows how small we really are.

very nice

Yes. It's the ultimate eye candy.
The NASA astronauts say stay away from the windows if you have work to do.
