There has been going on a lot in the Gulf of Aden in the last years. First it where pirates, now it is Al Qaida (in yemen), which is why now there are about 300 international ships in the gulf.
This week someone pointed me to information about a "magnetic anomalie" in the gulf that scientist know about since the 80ties.
After doing some googling I found a lot of articles with theories about a stargate buried in the gulf and that this might very well be the 'big excuse' for the current international interest in the area.

after doing a search I couldn't find anything about it on ATS and I haven't found trustful information on the internet either, so I wonder if anyone here can shed a light on this 'stargate'

I don't really believe it, but I'm interested in the story, where and how did it originate? Who are the people behind the stargate theory?

Maybe The Island has spent some time there. That place is full of magnetic anomalies. On February 2nd, the anomaly will suddenly disappear... Only to reappear in Tunisia!

No, I for one think it's about something other than the oil. A few friends who were there have told me of some diligent searches there for something secret. Of course I speculated, but soldiers have been there for a very long time now. And, Iraq is where ancient Sumeria once was.

Dont put too much faith in claims that there are hundreads of warships in the Gulf of Aden region... There is not. The main contributers to the anti-pirate patrols are the US, the UK, the Germans, the Indians and a smattering of European and Asian countries. The Chinese and Russians operate independently under their own control, escorting vessels, the majority of which, are from their homeland.

The projected reason for the military pressence there is that it is to maintain a free flowing artery for which ships can pass from East to West (and vice versa), helped by nations who have a vestted intrested for this as a consumer or a trader. The pirates are, on the whole, disenfranchised fisherman who coastal waters have been raped and poisoned by foreign nations who have now taken away one of the only stable elements in the crumbling nation of Somali and have since turned to piracy as a form of retribution on the said counties.

The alternate view (outside stargates) is that the ships are there to try and disconnect Somali from the the Saudi penninsula due to terrorism concerns, people trafficing and by not allowing outside interferance from muslim nations. Due to the international nature of the effort and the ever increasing pressence of the US in Djibouti (in the wake of the slow French withdrawl) a small scale chess game is being played out by the NATO and Eastern emerging superpowers as Russian and especially China push into the Horn of Africa via trade agreements and expansive business interests.

Yeman, although under the US gaze, is very much IMO going to played out in a Muslim v Muslim way due to the sensativity of the area and the potential wide spread upset at having non-muslim troops engaged in hostile actions on the Saudi penninsula.

Ref the 'Blackwater' presence in the GoA, this has ceased to operate. The intention was for the vessel to be used as an armed escort ship which would take a alrge number of vessels through the 'danger area' for a highly inflated fee (some as their work in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere) but due to the fact that different nations provided the same dervice for FREE and so they ceased to trade. Their role in the area was mearly to jump onto the latest 'bandwagon' and make a stack of cash but this fell flat.

Well, to be honest I started to be very sceptical of those things.....
I mean, I hate being let down every few monthes when something new comes out.

They say now that this stargate, when it fully opens will do something to the earths atmosphere that will render all weapons including handguns useless.
Now this sounds like a dream! peace, in a mere moment.

But every time I hear those things and get excited about, monthes pass and people keep dying by the hundreds...

There is very heavy warship movement there indeed, so there is -something- out there.

Iv'e been trying to find out why Israel does'nt have their hand in the cookie jar aswell, and I cannot seem to find out why... I mean we are really close to that location.

By the way, on the start of 2010, (dont remember the exact date) some of my friends who were down south, told me they saw about 5 American warships heading twards the suez canal. They called up some news agency and asked them about it - Their reply was "Yes we know about it, but we are not allowed to speak of it or publish it - it is probably just some drill with the IDF"
Well, later just figured out they were all on route to aden, to check out the so called star gate.
Still cant figure out why there are not Israeli warships there - perhaps because the proximaty to Iran.

A figure such as 5 warships may seem like a large number but if an aircraft carrier was involved in the 'exercise' then this would be the average (and thats not accounting for subsurface vessels)
