Obama unveils $2.3 billion for clean energy jobs

money.cnn.com

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- President Obama unveiled a program Friday that will provide $2.3 billion in tax credits for the clean energy manufacturing sector, a move aimed at creating 17,000 jobs.

The funding, which comes from the $787 billion American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, has been awarded to 183 projects in 43 states, the White House announced.

hmm well im interested to say the least, as to how this will play out,

this might be the first smart thing Obama has comissioned

im just curious as to where the government is going to get 2.3 billion more dollars when all they do is go further and further into debt,
in al reality 17,000 jobs in 43 stats isnt that many jobs compared to the 85,000 jobs that were lost in the month of december

If this plays the same way that the last stimulus did, then sorry to say but we are for another waste and abuse and missing funds.

Another scam to call it stimulus while digging a hole in the America hard working tax payer.

Obama and his stimulus are nothing but scam

This no new, the money allocated per job goes into the hand of the state that makes a cut of it, then it give the money to a contractor in the name winning bid, that finds somebody to do the jobs for pennies on the dollars while pocketing their rest.

States are hungry for funds this days.

It's a good thing the stimulus kept unemployment at 8% and those 17,000 jobs will sure go a long way to offsetting the millions of jobs lost this year. If only it were in place now and those 17,000 jobs appeared out of the clear blue sky, maybe there would have only been 68,000 new unemployed in the last report. 17,000 jobs in 43 states? Wow, that amounts to around 395 jobs in each of those states. We're back!

No offense to any environmentalists out there but Obama can take his "green jobs" borne off the back of taxpayers and stick 'em where the sun don't shine.
