CIA bomber's wife says war must go on against US

news.yahoo.com

The Turkish wife of a Jordanian doctor who killed seven CIA employees in a suicide attack in Afghanistan says her husband was outraged over the treatment of Iraqis at Abu Ghraib prison and the U.S.-led invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Defne Bayrak, the wife of bomber Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi, said in an interview with The Associated Press that his hatred of the United States had motivated her husband to sacrifice his life on Dec. 30 in what he regarded as a holy war against the U.S.

Firstly people need to understand that there's no such thing as a holy war, her message would have been much more efficient if the word holy wasn't in it.

However, it's important to note that this is blowback and despite the usage of the word "holy" this is not about religious extremism, this is blowback.

Every action has a reaction.
To think that the U.S. can continue doing what it's doing without consequence is lunacy.

They are NOT trying to curb terroism, they are trying to increase so further finance the military industrial complex.

Report: Al-Qaida CIA bomber was furious over Gaza war
The Jordanian national that attacked a U.S. military base in Afghanistan, killing 7 CIA agents, was furious over the Israel's Gaza offensive

The report quotes the brother of Humam Khalil Abu-Mulal al-Balawi as saying that his brother, a physician, had even made numerous attempts to join Jordan's doctor's association as way of reaching the Gaza Strip and aiding the local population.

The above is slightly odd in my opinion to call him al-qaeda when he was a CIA agent.
I usually expect more from Hareetz.

But in any case, Blowback!

They call anyone and everyone Al Qaeda if they are a) Middle Eastern, and b) Against the US occupying their lands, killing people and propping up oppressive dictators / regimes. I mean, it's not like they are all card carrying members or affiliates!

As far as planning and execution go, it was a good strike, unlike the US use of UAV's that have such a high "colatteral" damage to target elimination ratio - another reason they are a little peeved at the US.

That will be the same sentiment here in the US when it comes to the war on terror and how is presented to the population.

Most Americans see the middle east as a terrorist nations that are killing Americas so they also needs to be killed and the war most goes on.

No different than the widow comments the only thing lacking is "holy" we substitute that with "Terror".
