Further into the article, it's revealed that one of the "critical missions" is to train the new police "middle management". Call them police
chiefs or military officers, we are still talking about men with guns who lead many more men with guns, who do as we say. This notion of a
"transition" looks like progress from the surface, but it's really no different then what we have already established, complete total control over
all our interests in the country.
I also can't help to question, what other "critical missions" the embassy will be inheriting from the military. With the war drums still beating
for Iran, i would image more then catering diplomatic lunch-ins . Anyone know, or have any ideas?
