For technical data there isn't much about it's transmit power or freq only that it needs 100VAC-240VAC 1900WATTS power source to operate.

Oh by the way it's 10000 times less powerfull than your cellphone
and the company L-3 is run by high ranking ex military.

Two things here....

1.) The people who think this is alright should then be alright with having 32 big screen televisions lined up like a sports bar so that everybody in line can have a look at everybody else who is going through the scanner. Correct? It is alright isn't it? It is just flesh. Everybody can take a look and we can all be responsible for a safe flight.

2.) I always knew the Nazis were way ahead in technology. This brings to mind those pictures of people lined up next to trenches and photographed with full body scanners. You remember those photos that looked naked, but were actually just scanners checking to see if anybody was taking any illegal objects near the trenches? The Nazis had this scanning technology a long time ago. I've even seen photos of people lounging in a wagon, looking really relaxed, being photographed by full body scanner technology to make sure that the wagon ride was safe.

I would be worried about pedophiles and other sexual predators looking in on these pictures. I wouldn't mind someone seeing me naked personally because your right we all have naked bodies but there are some serious ethical concerns about how these devices. Then again I am all for protecting planes from terrorism. I fly to and from NYC to Moscow 5 times a year and am personally happy to know that steps have been taken to absolutely 100% assure noone can board a plane with anything dangerous.

There is no such thing as 100% safe. Its not so much that we should be ashamed of our bodies its the idea of it. We are treated more like cattle everyday, for me this is too far. I took off my shoes and all that even though it felt wrong but one must draw the line somewhere.

It is suspected that body scanner waves tear apart DNA as well as show your naughty bits.

I keep repeating myself - the question you all should be asking is by whom? David Icke doesn't sound so mad after all.

"The agenda" is being stepped up because the hairless apes are starting to wake up enmasse.

Someone seeing you naked is the least of your worries. You can't see it so it doesn't exist but going through one of these things the THz waves can cook your DNA, why? by who (really who)?

I know this theory sounds nuts - little green men (or maybe tall purple ones) but to me this whole thing sounds like a covert war tactic against our species.

It would be interesting to see who and where this new technology was developed by.

And then again, with most of our jobs being outsourced to India, who can afford to fly now anyway?

I won't be able to afford to fly.

I really wonder what i read on this 13 pages.

1. Nude is not porn
2. How many terrorists are on airplanes? 1/1000000.
3. How will you find this person if you can't see the explosives on this pix?
4. Why scan Kids ?(possible terrorists?) LOL
5. Why scan kids 2? (radiation)
6. Why scan pregnants? (pergant, underage bombing terrorist, sure)
7. Freedom (no don't wanna show my 20 Piercings anyone?)
8. Why install those machines if
- 1 : CIA ignores phonecalls with warnings form persons
- 2 : CIA is not able to identify a face on a airport
- 3 : Normal people are on the "no fly" list, but not well-known terrorists
- 4 : CIA and other agencies are gathering soooooo much information from almost everywhere, the cannot longer find the important Info.

9. There are 1000 times more people on trains and ships all over the world without scanners, dogs and and and......and no terror, no deaths.

10. Those who are screaming "child porn" need a doctor. Maybe something is wrong with there fantasies. Children are not as prude as adults, because they are innocent.

10. Tell me what is more disturbing for a 7 year old girl, - the scanner? Or the fact that if she asks daddy: "why scanner?" Daddy: "because flying is like riding on the devils back, we never know who has a bomb, the world is in war against terror, so we need no more freedom". Ah, thanks daddy.

This is.....the end.

This is crap, there are 2 people that can see me naked. My doctor and my girlfriend, I don't want someone who is basically a glorified security guard looking at my private bits.

These scanners are an invasion of privacy, increase the resolution a little and the lady in the OP looks as if she was just another google image search result for "nudes".

Y'know I think the people who complain about these scanners being 'an invasion of privacy' etc need to get a grip and decide whether they what to feel safe when they fly or risk terrorists smuggling weapons on board the plane.

The decision seems like a no brainer to me ... I can't understand the problem at all !

Everybody should just show up at the airport naked.
I think it's time for Airplane 3.

Just think in flight orgies.

I've seen more skin at the beach, omg don't take the kids swimming or let them have fun at summer camp by the lake.

No more public showers in the schools, child nudity is rampant, all those high schoolers showering together...they might get ideas.

You know what should be illegal, obese people at the beach in thongs...

Seriously now, I was always under the impression pornographic material was where the reproductive organs were exposed, and or the act of reproduction was filmed.

Again, compared to that scanner image, I have seen more skin at the beach.

Hey, did any one let their kids watch the Mummy, or the Mummy returns, or the Scorpian king? According to those who think this scanner image is porn, then those painted on suits the actresses had was a very pornograhic scene.

Come on now, look at the TV, there or more pornographic scenes on Desperate housewife than in that scanner inage.

As for peoples rights, you know what. Stop voting for idiots who let terrorists into the USA.

If we could control the security measures with a semblance of oversight and control. Then maybe, measures of security like these could be avoided.

Until security does their jobs at the airports, more extreme means of protecting the people will be taken.

Stop putting the people in office, who make these decisons in the first place.

Guess what, we the people allowed this to happen, you made your bed, now sleep in it.

Some times, I swear people want the safety, but forget that it comes at a price. You can't have it both ways. Don't like the scanners, drive instead of flying, it is that simple.

If you cared so much about your personal rights, then perhaps you all should have payed attention to what was happening.

But oh, you didn't know, that this could happen.
Well, now you do.

And guess what, if more americans don;t get off their couch potatoe arses and start caring a little more, and paying attention a little more, it will only get worse.

If you think this is bad, wait until ID chips, full cavity searches and DNA samples are madatory.

Now that, that is going to be a friggin ball!

how about "I am worried that all the doctors are rubbing their hands in anticipation of all the money they will make when it's learned that repeated exposure like this causes health problems???

and well, my position is pretty set...
tighting the immigration if you want me to take this seriously. till that is done forget's like saying our need for cheap labor is more important than the terrorism is a threat! and, we don't need that cheap labor that much! we have 10% unemployment!

As a fetish model and photographer i can easily say that it is not the 'shame' or paranoia of nakedness that upsets me with this as others seem to think this is the main issue.. it isnt.. our loss of privacy as a whole due to false flag bs is one of the major problems, and those saying 'so what'? ' i have nothing to hide' are the exact kinds of people TPTB love.. keep thinking that and we will all end up in 1984...

With that logic you're basically saying;

'I don't like the idea of this on principle, so I'm prepared to take the chance of terrorists blowing me up (along with every other man, woman, child on the plane), in-flight rather than we all get scanned and potentially eliminate the possibility'.

What a plan !

Agree man, this body scanner bull# is to a point now that something needs to be done, if you haven't clicked on the inverted picture, please do. Its like those x ray glasses you always wanted on the back of a cereal box, except the person wearing them is some creepy old dude that works at the airport; and he's looking at your kids. Makes me sick. How in the hell is this going to be any different from a metal detector?

I cannot believe some of the comments I ve read here.

Safety in airplanes is a very very serieus issue. Ask any aircrash survivor what his or her toughts where when going down.
Ask the families of those who died.
Ask those people if they would like a scanner at airports.

A human body is just a bag of bones. You do not have to look at every body in a sexually way. Its all in your perception of looking at the world around you.

Do I like waiting in line, searched, going to a scanner etc. No offcourse not, just bring me to my holiday destination asap.
But its just the way the world is right now: we need every and I mean every technology available to keep flying safe.

Also, dont you think scanner operators have seen it all after 2 days of work? Its just work. My wife is a doctor, believe me she sees a loooots of naked man every day.
Naked bodys are just work for some people, maybe its strange for you but if you would be airport scanner operator you will very soon realise its just your daily business.

I would rather take the chance of being killed in a false flag (or real) terrorist attack then go down this path any further.

This is dystopian and the people who support the scanners are disgusting. I don't care what their excuse is - they disgust me.

*I am sure you would give up your liberty for security... Anything to stop Emmanuel Goldstein and his terrorists. They are that bad.

These scanners won't do anything for safety. they are not there for safety, theya re there as an affront to the modesty practices of Islam and as another undercut to any modesty that remains in the west...which ain't much!

If you are willing to give up your liberty for a little safety, you deserve neither. TO paraphrase Ben Franklin.

Consider that there are hundreds of other people with access to the aircraft who are not going to have to endure this one more point of dehumanizing ourselves and regarding ourselves as mere meat bags.

It's a sham. Who makes the scanners? Who owns that company that manufactures them? If the US paid for the scanner in amsterdam, why not everywhere else and if you are going to use this machine, why is it only being used on a selection of people when to be effective it must be used on everyone including staff at the airfields.

Its a scam. It's a waste of your tax dollars.
The more uniform the process of security, the easier it is to circumvent.

Don't be fooled by this nonsense. It's nonsense.

Partly agreed.

I agree with you that worse things could come and might come soon. I dont think the main problem with that full body scanner is because of nude images produced. Yes, we are used to nudity. Yes, pornography is everywhere. Hey I live in Brazil and I love the way brazilian women dress(and undress). But it is one thing to watch porn and another thing to BECOME porn to others without your consent. I love to watch porn, but those are actors willing to play the porn actor/actress role and thye get paid.

If at least the airport security would pay me a little bit for my nudity. That would be a start!

Kidding aside, I think the main problem is the loss of privacy. How much privacy have we lost in the last years? Everytime we accept something new that takes away part of our privacy, that somethign new becomes the norm.

One day if we get chiped, we may even shout and cry and despair, but if that is all we do, we will get chiped anyway and the next generation will see nothing wrong with it, because to them it will be normal.
